"I guess it would." He said smiling softly. "I hope you aren't normal either." He said looking at the counter.
"I guess it would." He said smiling softly. "I hope you aren't normal either." He said looking at the counter.
"Well, I guess you'll just have to find out." 'if only he knew.' Mavi though to herself. Would he run away in fear? Scream for help? Or would he just except her and what she was trying to do? After all it was for the good of everyone- well almost everyone.
He smiled and nodded. She seemed mysterious like she was hiding something or hiding behind something constantly. Like she never fully said the truth or what she really wanted.
Mavi slid from her seat and stretched, quickly banishing whatever thoughts tried to run freely. "I'm not really into the mood to be hung over again," which was a lie as she hadn't been hung over in the first place, "wanna take a walk? Or are ya' gonna grab another drink?"
"We could take a walk. I'd rather not have a hangover when I have classes tomorrowrow." And who knows how getting drunk could affect him and his powers.
"Ouch. I feel attacked." Mavi laughed, threw down some money, and strolled out the door. "So come one, tell me more about yourself. What makes you so different from all the other guys?"
He stood and followed her out the door. "Um honestly I have no idea. I'm really nobody, just some guy with low self-esteem and no confidence. What makes you different from other girls." He knew what really made him different. It could be different things though, his powers, personality? And that's about it.
"No Confidence?" Mavi quirked an eye brow, "you seem pretty confident to me." She smiled, completely dodging his question. If she'd learned anything from past friendships, it was to find out all she could before the other had a chance to be repulsed by what she really was. poison. "And by the way, you are not a nobody."
"Actually I am and yeah. I have no confidence. I usually mask it well with a shroud of lies. Or fake confidence." He replied looking around. He wouldn't go further to talking about his life. He didn't want to get too far or begin to by accidentally reveal himself as some pyromaniac.
"Well you're doing a pretty good job of faking your confidence then." Mavi smiled and decided not to push anymore into it. She didn't want to seem pushy, which she usually was. Nor did she want to be intrusive- which again, she usually was. Mavi tugged at a stand of her honey blond hair, trying to think of a new conversation to strike up.
He sighed then thought. "So what is your favorite hobby?" He asked out of nowhere. He was thinking of better questions but that was the only one that came out of his mouth.
"Hobby?" Mavi took a moment to think. Did she really every have time for hobbies? "Reading I guess? What about you?"
"um. I play videogames… I don't know if that would count though." He replied looking at her. his hobbies were mostly non-existent.
"What again makes you so diffrent?" A joke, but at the same time Mavi's true nature showing ever so slightly. "I'm kidding. Gosh sorry bout' that." She laughed lightly.
"it's alright I understand. I am just like every other person with no actual cool talents." He replied to her.
"Well, that indeed makes you different. Admitting to your faults." Mavi smiled and again bummed his shoulder with her own. "Besides video games are cool."
"Thanks." He replied. Then stopped to look up at the stars.
Mavi stopped to, glancing at him in question, then glancing up as if expecting to see a UFO. "You like the night sky, or did you see something?"
"I just saw the stars. I thought it looked nice." He replied.
"A star lover huh?" Mavi let her eyes rest on the stars. She'd never been all that into stargazing. She'd never had time.
"I just find it interesting that they are just millions of miles away." Also that they are so bright we could see them from here he thought.
"That is pretty interesting I guess." Mavi smiled softly to herself. It was a wounded what someone could make you realize. Especially when it was something like how beautiful the stars could be.
Colden nodded and went silent.
A small smile lit Mavi's lips. She decided that something at least slightly crazy was in order. After all, it was how she kept people of their toes. She quickly snuck a kiss on Colden's cheek. "I know I haven't known you long. But you're a great person." And before he'd be able to stop her and say anything else. Mavi skipped off to a nearing bus, and hopped on when it stopped at the bus stop.
He watched he skip off and smiled. Though he was slightly confused. Then he decided to walk to his dorm, though the smart option would have been a taxi or bus.
