"So I'm guessing your parents never encouraged drinking growing up?" Mavi joked, but her father did want her to have a high drinking tallarince. After all, he knew she was rebellious and didn't want his Daughter out being stupid, drunk, and power hungry.
"um no….. Something happened… They refuse to even look at the stuff." He replied looking down then drank his beer.
"To painful to take about?" Mavi's lips tilted into a small frown, "that's the good thing about getting drunk sometimes. It helps forget. Even if its just for a little while." She tipped her head back and too a swig of her beer before adding, "sorry. Don't mean to be such a downer." She bumped Coldens shoulder with her own, jokingly of course.
He smiled and bumped back into her. "Ok tell me stuff about you. Because clearly we don't even know eachother and I think we have known each other for maybe 3 days."
"Something about me? Gosh I'm an open book." Mavi smiled, teasing slightly. Because she wasn't an open book, more like an endangered species, only showing you what you need to know. "But lets see, uh, I'm majoring in science. I just tried 21 a few months ago, and my dads a jerk." The last part a truthful joke. "What about you? Surely I should know the man I asked to go drinking with. Not some kinda murder are you?" Again a joke, this one less stiff and more playful.
Colden smiled."umm. No I'm not a murderer. I did once kill a fish though by neglect. Um I'm 21 I'll be 22 in 4 months. I major in phycology. I have no clue what I am doing with my life" he added the last part on at the end jokingly.
"Amen to that." Mavi said and threw back another swing. "The no idea what your doing with your life thing. Not the fish. Gosh not the fish." Mavi laughed and shoot her head at herself. "Physiology huh? How's that working out so far?"
He drank more then looked at her. "It's going on. At times I'm lost though it isn't giving me telepathy so that is one con about it." He said clearly joking around.
"Telepathy huh?" Again Mavi laughed, deciding to go along with his joke. "You sure about that? What am I thinking right now?" To anyone with out the context of their convsation, the two probably just looked like to idiot drunks.
He looked at her and closed his eyes for the act he put his hands on the side of his head and hummed. "You are thinking that the floor in here is nice." He said laughing then opening his eyes to look at the beat up old floor.
"No. No not really." Mavi shook her head at him and laughed lightly. "Good guess though." What had she been thinking about in those few moments? How she enjoyed his company? Or the fact that she wished happy moments like this could last forever. Normal happy moments. "I'm pretty sure you should major in something that will give you super powers." Her tone sarcastic and joking.
"Yeah, like that could happen. What type of major would that even be." He said laughing. "Also are you sure you weren't thinking this floor was nice and not very awful looking?" He asked. He didn't actually know what she was thinking or anyone, he didn't have those powers. Nor does he have powers, or so he says. He would always deny the fact.
"I have no idea- and no. Gosh the floor really isn't my thing." Mavi bumped his shoulder again, before adding. "Gosh, having super powers what fun that'd be. Kinda like the villain and Hero- hey I haven't seen anything on the news about them lately. What about you?" She shifted the conversation, after all its not like she had much time to watch the news. Maybe he knew something she didn't.
He paused for a moment thinking about the recent news. "one channel is saying that they are both villains ruining the city, another says that they are misunderstood and strive to figure out how they tick. Then there is the one that actually shows the news, but there hasn't been any real news on them. Same as always." He had been bored surfing through channels finding all that out it was interesting to see the points of view.
"Misunderstood?" She raised an eyebrow, "how can someone be misunderstood if no one even knows what they want?" Though Mavi couldn't deny the fact that she almost smiled at that. Ruining the city? Why its not like she'd blow any buildings up. At least not yet. "Honestly I think they both walk a fine line. Tip to much one way and well boom, a hero and a villain. But who's to really say which ones good? Like I said before no one knows what they want." She tucked her hair behind her ear, felling rather stupid for all that she'd just said.
"I agree. Without knowing their motives, expectations, and wishes. They could be anything and anyone. People are fueled by motivation. So if theirs are unknown we would never know who is actually a villian and who is actually a hero. For all we know they could both be heros or villians in a way." He said. At this point he had no idea why he was saying all of this.
Again Mavi raised her eyebrows, surprise lighting her face. "Well smarty pants, someone sounds like they know something." A grin played at her lips, pulling the corners up slightly. "Care to share?" At this moment Mavi looked anything but joking and friendly, much more entreged. Like someone who'd do anything to find out what secrets laid beneath. Though the moment quickly passed and soon she was back to joking around. "Unless you can't cuz you're one of their sidekicks and would have to kill me if you told me."
"I'm not anyone's side kick, so no I don't have to kill you." Colden said laughing then took a quick drink before talking more "But as for the first thing. I guess I could share my thoughts. So from the perspective of the news, and reports, even some random people's personal blogs they all see these super powered people in different lights. Though you can't label them as bad or good without knowing intentions. They could be easy intentions like simply destruction or peace. But they could also be complex. Depending on intentions their motives are different. For all we know they could both be bad or good. But we don't know. People just label simply off of random small deeds they have done, not off of the big idea. Though the big idea is unknown."
"Well," Mavi started, surprised, "one things for sure. You have some beliefs. I personally believe the girls evil. From what I've seen at least. Gosh I'd love to talk to them. Get their opinions. Maybe even study their elements a little." She smiled knowing the only thing she really wanted to study was what the heros weaknesses where- along with who he was.
Colden just nodded. "So, I have no idea what to do now. I'm and awkward person." He said thinking about stuff to talk about.
"Well I guess that'd make two of us." Mavi rolled her eyes before adding, "so how's your first time drinking going for you so far? Feel like barffing yet?"
"No, I feel perfectly fine. What about you?" He asked her.
"Not my first show with beer." Mavi winked at threw back another mouth full. Though she'd be careful not to order another after she finished. "Most people puke at their first drink." She shot him a joking grin.
"Interesting I guess I'm not most people then." He replied smiling then finished his drink.
Maiv's grin slowly melted into a warm kind smile. Something that almost felt unnatural to her. "Well," she started as she to finished her drink, "I'm sure glad your not. That'd make things boring wouldn't it?"
