Nikki sat for a second before knocking the plate he gave her out of the way eggs spilling out of it before she swiveled out of the chair and headed to her room "fuck you and your fucking eggs prick." And with that, she slammed her door shut

Jo sighs, swallowing and pushing back his chair.

I'm right, I'm right, I'm right. . . he repeats to himself. But he still felt guilty.

He ends up cleaning the entire kitchen, then leaves a note, pulling on a shirt and his normal shoes and heading out.

(What does the note say is it the note or just a note because I don't think we're there yet if it's what I'm thinking)

Nikki didn't end up coming out of her room for about 30 minutes before she finally unlocked her door and stepped out to see the clean kitchen she felt bad for lashing out but he was just so stubborn she

Jo returns a couple hours after this, looking a lot calmer and a lot less cocky.

He looks at Nikki, silent.

(Okay that makes me feel better I started stressing 😅)

Nikki had read the note she just crumbled it and threw it away before grabbing a blanket that was 10x bigger than her and reading a book she was still reading when jo came back but she didn't even say anything just glanced at him before going back to her book

Jo sighs and sinks into the armchair, watching Nikki still.

Still silent.

After a moment, he opens his mouth to apologise.

Nikki wasn't reading anymore she couldn't concentrate she was just starting at the words on the pages flipping through them aimlessly she sighed and closed the book as soon as Jo opened his mouth "don't…just don't say anything."

Jo shuts his mouth with an audible click and proceeds to just stare.

For the first time, he was just watching and listening. A miracle.

Nikki sat in silence for a moment before sighing
"I'm..I'm sorry for calling you a prick, and throwing the breakfast you made me…if I'm being honest that was a bitch move."

Jo shakes his head slightly, cracking a smile. He still doesn't reply, just watches Nikki closely.

Nikki paused after speaking and waited for him to speak but he didn't so she huffed and picked up her book again and started reading

After a couple more moments, Jo finally speaks.

"So. . . you're sorry. . . for being you." he asks.

Nikki rolled her eyes "just take the goddamn apology."

Jo starts laughing.

"Okay, okay!"

She settled back into the couch and sighed "thank you.."

Jo smiles, still laughing softly.

"You're welcome."

Nikki shook her head and pinched her nose "where did you go?"

"Somewhere." Jo says mysteriously.

"Im serious Jo where were you."

"You'll see tomorrow. I have to go out early to get what I bought today. Plus some extra stuff." he smiles.

"Wait Wait what do you mean you got shot we had a fight and you bought something??"

"Yep. What's your point?" Jo chuckles.
