Irene opened her arms and motioned for him to come over to her. "I doubt that, from what you have said, they really don't care about how you feel." Irene paused. "Maybe we should adopt you, even though you aren't an orphan…"
Irene opened her arms and motioned for him to come over to her. "I doubt that, from what you have said, they really don't care about how you feel." Irene paused. "Maybe we should adopt you, even though you aren't an orphan…"
Lloyd hugged Irene tightly. "T-That'd be nice… maybe not legal, though. I could just sorta stay here, I guess… as long as I'm still going to school, the government won't care, right?"'I just don't want to go back to that place…
Irene hugged Lloyd back. "That is exactly what I was hoping you would say. It would be so much better for your physical, mental, and emotional health for you to stay here. We should get you some more clothes and stuff. We have some dictionaries, both English and Russian. My dad has some encyclopedias somewhere in here…" Irene kept rambling on about stuff they could do to help Lloyd feel at home, a good home.
Lloyd nodded. "If I'm staying here, we really need to tell your dad what's going on with me. Everything. H-He doesn't deserve to be in the dark like that." He looked down at his forearms and sighed. "He should know what he's getting into."
"I suppose that is a good idea. We can tell him tomorrow morning, at breakfast maybe. Not that you would have to eat, but at that time. I bet he would be happy to help, he is very against abusive, mentally and physically, parents." Irene smiles. I'm so glad that he is good with staying with me… this will be so good for him…
"Yeah… we'll probably still have to go and tell my parents I'm leaving, though. Otherwise they might call the police or something. It… it might be best if someone goes with me, though… for obvious reasons…" What, you mean your father might beat you unconscious and it's better to have an escort who can drag your sorry ass out?
"Yes, I will come with you for sure, should I ask my father to come? Or would it be better not to?" Irene shifted a little so she could get a better look at the stars. "…I just remembered, today my father and I are going to visit my mother… we can't talk to your parents today." Irene sighs deeply. "I… need to convince my father to let you come with us, I can't leave you alone or with your parents."
"Yeah, that's fair… you could tie me up or something? I wouldn't mind, honestly." Lloyd mused, trying to find some way for this to work. "I don't know your father all that well and I'm not sure he'd want me to meet your mother, especially since he doesn't know you told me about it."
"I would feel so bad to just leave you here, alone and all tied up. I'm going to ask my father anyway… if he says no… I have no idea what I will do, but I'll think of something…" Irene kept slowly dozing off. Almost falling asleep multiple time before she ended up falling asleep after trying so hard not to.
Lloyd hesitated before gagging himself and tying his wrists together to keep himself from trying to bite his arms or something. He lay down on the beanbag and eventually managed to fall asleep.
(Fyi I will be pretty inactive starting Monday and ending Thursday. I'm going to try to be in here as much as I can, but no promises))
(Alrighty)
After what felt like a very long night, Irene woke up. She realized that she had fallen asleep and quickly sat up. She looked all around to make sure Lloyd was okay. She let out a relieved breath to see him sleeping peacefully. Irene stood up and looked out the window. She looked back to Lloyd and decided to let him sleep.
Lloyd stayed asleep for a bit before slowly stirring. He sat up, examining the makeshift bindings he'd put around his wrists. He couldn't speak since he'd gagged himself and couldn't untie it when his wrists were bound together.
Irene noticed that Lloyd finally woke up. "Good morning!-" She looked at his wrists and gag. Irene went over to Lloyd and untied his gag first, then his wrists. "How are you feeling this morning?"
"Still tired, honestly…" Lloyd yawned and rubbed his wrists. "But it's Saturday, so at least we don't have to go to school or anything. Honestly, it may not be a good thing for me to have free time, but I'm sure it'll be fine…"
"You can all have the free time you want if I'm with you. I might just have to tell my father that I can't go visit my mother… we are going to go visit her again this month anyway…" Irene trailed off and looked down.
"No, I want you to go see her. I'll tie myself up, knock myself unconscious, whatever to make sure I don't hurt myself while you're gone if I'm to stay here alone."
"If you have to stay here alone, I'm not leaving, no matter what you or my father says. I would feel so guilty and I wouldn't be able to enjoy my time with my mother. So either you are going with me or I'm not going.
"I-I really wouldn't want to be the reason you don't get to see your mother… please go, Irene. Please…" Lloyd looked up at Irene hopefully.
Irene looked around the room, conflicted. "I… I want to go but I want you to be okay… I don't know…" She flopped down on her beanbag, sighed, and twiddled her fingers.
"I'll be okay, Irene… it's not like you'll be gone for weeks. I'll just tie myself up for a bit like I did to sleep. It's fine." Lloyd fidgeted with his hands quietly.
"But what if you get hungry, or there is some sort of emergency and you can't call me because you are tied up, or someone breaks in and you can't protect yourself…" Irene took a few deep breaths to try to calm herself down.
"Rea, I can untie myself if I need to. It's just a precaution and I'm not even tying my wrists with real rope. I'll be okay…"
"But the whole idea of tying yourself up is not to be able to untie yourself. I'll smuggle you into to car before I leave you alone, and that's final."
