Name: Chi (pronounced chai not chee )
Age: 15
Gender: Female (She/her)
Sexuality: Lesbiannnnnnn
Shipping?: sure
Ethnicity: Egyptian
Personality: Tries to be tough. Really sensitive, though. She's an extrovert, and one of her street claims to fame is she can have a lively conversation going between her and just about anyone in five minutes or less.
Reason for joining the expedition: (cackles evilly) Sells figs outside the palace with her dad- or did, until she "accidentally" heard something that could start a war, apparently. So… she and her dad have moved the stall around a bunch of times. She's gotta earn her way of life other than selling figs - and it doesn't help that her mom was the late Pharaoh's former lady-in-waiting, before she died. So, Chi knows the in and outs of the place. Ish. She also knows where the paper is where she wrote down teh whole conversation. It was something about a magical garden. The secret was called Hesperides. As of then, she's been trying as hard as possible to get the paper back so she can know what was so darn important about Hesperides. AND so she can go see for herself.
Appearance: https://s3.amazonaws.com/notebook-content-uploads/content/uploads/original/31358e7a-0a99-4e6f-9727-49d55346cf33.png?1636062336 . Her hair is shoulder-length wispy ringlets the colour of dark amber. Her skin tone is about the colour of her hair, only it's a tea-ish shade of brown. She has two to three wristbands on her arms at all times.
Style: long tunics that stop at her ankles, small wristbands, wispy tunic to make sleeves, thin necklace, small leather sandals
Profession: Fugitive (yay ), and Figseller. (helps her dad run their stand at the bazaar selling figs)

(Thanks! Now, here's my sample: Chi walked the ridge of the sidewalk, teetering comically for a split-second before regaining her balance. She took a few more tentative steps and then flat-out ran the rest of the way to her father's fig booth at the bazaar. "Baba," she said, doubled over and gasping for breath. "Baba, it's my shift now. You can rest." Baba, her father, laughed. He resembled one of Thoth's baboons for a second, holding his waist and laughing. "I can rest? Chi, have you seen yourself? I could have handled a few more minutes on shift. Business is slow today, child. You might learn to walk with the world, instead of racing it to the finish line." Chi grinned despite herself. Then she hip-checked her father out of the way, and started calling to the ever-changing crowd of passerby, some looking, some not: "Figs! Fresh, sweet figs! Picked today, fresh figs, figs! Figgy figgy figs!")

(Baba is a word Chi will use a lot. It means father or dad, but affectionately)

@Tired-but-passionate

Name: Efraim Marion
Age: 18
Gender: would probably just describe themself as a youth. amab
Sexuality: doesn’t know, doesn’t care
Shipping?: maybe?
Ethnicity: Israelite
Personality: very quiet, to the point of being selectively mute. Has a rather soft, solemn disposition, and can stay still for a long period of time. Although they seem like a sad statue on the outside, Efraim is a very deep thinker and feeler. It’s just difficult for them to express themselves externally, and the only way they can seem to do this is through art and painting. They also consider themselves a coward, and they often avoid conflict when they can. Their father used to always advise them to pray to God for courage, and Efraim has taken that to heart.
Reason for joining the expedition: some context. Efraim comes from a long line of artisans and painters that decorated Solomon’s Temple and other places of worship in Israel. Even after the Temple was destroyed, their family still tried to keep their practice alive. At the time of the Neo-Babylonian Empire’s conquest of Judah, Efraim’s family was afraid Israel would be conquered as well, and relocated to Egypt. Although they still worshipped the Judean God and never worshipped the Egyptian ones, the family eventually found themselves serving in the royal palace. After Efraim was born, they eventually ended up an orphan and was named the royal painter, depicting the deeds of the Egyptian Pharaoh, or even scenes of everyday life on the palace walls. Later, the volunteered to be apart of the journey to the Garden of the Hesperides, mostly because they had become tired of their life in Egypt and wanted a vacation, preferably to somewhere where no one would try to convert them or bully them for their faith, but also to see and do new things, and find inspiration for their art.
Appearance: stands at about 5’6, and has a thin, lanky body

Style: long tunics that reach down to their calves, with sleeves that go a little past their elbows. They also wear a versatile over garment that can function as an overcoat, a head covering, etc. Additionally, sandals and one earring piercing their right ear.
Profession: the Artist, or the royal painter

@Otto_OtterOverlord

Eyes, look your last!
Arms, take your last embrace! And, lips, O you
The doors of breath, seal with a righteous kiss
A dateless bargain to engrossing death!
Come, bitter conduct, come, unsavory guide!
Thou desperate pilot, now at once run on
The dashing rocks thy sea-sick weary bark!
Here’s to my love!
Drinks.
O true apothecary!
Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die.
Dies.

See y’all in the afternet
Bye
