"Be nice Umber," Luca purred, she knew her particular talents irritated him so she frequently used flirtatious ways to get under his skin. "I'm sure they will be along shortly. What's the job, Boss?" Bored of sitting, she stretched and draped herself over the top of the fridge, legs on one side, arms and upper torso on the other. She winked at Casey.
Casey pretended not to see. Luca was cute and flirty, which is exactly what Casey hired her to be. Five or six years ago a girl like Luca winking at her would have left her blushing and stuttering, but now she only poured tea. "I'll brief you when everyone's here." Normally she would not have minded just telling Luca and Cameron what was going on, but this was too big. She turned to Cameron. "Be a dear and call the others, would you?" she asked, knowing Cameron would most likely like a chance to get out of the room.
Cameron flashed a glare at Luca, liking nothing more but to push her off of the refrigerator at beat the shit out of her. He glanced down at Casey and nodded, leaning off the wall.
“I’ll do it now. Which line do you want me to use?”
She put down the teapot and pulled her burner phone out of her pocket. She handed it to him. "Mine."
Cameron took the phone. “Group call or singles?”
Luca's grin turned positively manic at Cameron as he passed her to grab Casey's phone. A grin that promised a good dirty fight, if he ever challenged her. She may be cute, flirty and irresistible to her targets, on the outside, but just under her skin lingered the dirty, dangerous street urchin that Casey had picked up a few years ago.
Casey grabbed Luca's wrist. "Leave it," she said. Her voice was level and calm, almost friendly. Her eyes were not. She turned to Cameron, still holding tightly to Luca's wrist. "Singles. But make sure they get the message to get their asses over here."
Cameron met her gaze, thunderously challenging her back. He looked ready to take out his want right there and then.
“Singles,” He confirmed. “Got it.” He didn’t turn.
Luca relaxed, "Fine. Fine. You know I was just playing, Boss." She tugged on her wrist, looking pointedly at Casey.
Casey released Luca's wrist, watching Cam. "Thank you, Cameron," she said, waiting.
Cameron stiffened his jaw, the look carefully snuffing out of his eyes as he glanced down at Casey.
“Right.” He pushed out the door and shut it firmly behind him, flipping through the contacts and calling everyone one by one.
Casey turned back to the kitchen counter, grabbing a teacup. She handed it to Luca and passed her the cream and the bowl of sugar.
"Too bad he's not my type," Luca sighed stretching like a cat to take the cup. "I bet a romp in bed with him is like bedding a hurricane." She snorted and gave Casey an apologetic smile. She would never say the words "I'm sorry" out loud, Casey knew that she never would honestly mean it.
(Honestly I ship it already xD)
(YAAAAAAAS Emi. Same. ;D)
(oh okay. thats what I thought I just wanted to be sure lol. And I'll allow it, just let it happen gradually)
(have either of you read six of crows?)
(lol np. I was gonna do a smiley face but next to the parenthesis it just looks wrong. so just pretend I did it)
(I just started it Moxie! The book is why I joined the RP!)
(omg I love that. I'm trying to make Casey a mix between Kaz and this character from a tv show. Cameron and Luca remind me a lot of two characters in six of crows)
(YESSSSS. I was going to say that Casey reminds me of Kaz.)
