Sebastian nodded. He glanced back at Layla and immediately slapped a hand over his eyes, his heart melting. "I can't take it anymore, your daughter is too adorable." Eventually, he pried his hand away to face her, grinning. "You wanna play?"
Devon laughed lightly. "Well, I'm sorry that my daughter is making you melt. I can't help you there. And I'm, like, 99.5% sure that she knows how adorable she is, too, and uses it to her advantage."
"Play! Bahstin, play!" Layla giggled, shoving the baby toward him.
(Guys with kids, though… Like, way too cute…)
"I wouldn't be surprised," he laughed, taking the baby in his hands and making it dance around Layla's head.
Devon smiled as she watched them. Layla laughed when Sebastian made her baby dance, wiggling happily.
The doll continued to ‘dance’ eventually perching on top of Layla’s head and leaning down to cover her eyes. “Peekaboo!”
(Lol. Especially when they're normally, like, all dark and brooding or whatever.)
Layla giggled excitedly. She tried to grab the doll, but it was out of her reach.
(Yeah)
(Morning!)
The doll ‘jumped down’ from its spot and landed in her lap. “Hi Layla!” Sebastian said in a squeaky voice.
(Morning!
Jsyk, I'm going to be driving to ND for 8+ hours, so I probably won't be on for that time. Unless I get my phone back… Which isn't very likely…)
Layla's laughter bubbles out again as she scooped the doll into her arms. "Baby!"
(oh oof
have fun though!)
"Yeah, baby," he cooed, letting go of the toy. Glancing up at Devon, he grinned. "How am I doing so far?"
(Lol. Thanks!)
Devon grinned back encouragingly. "You're doing great. She really loves you."
Layla giggled again and pushed the baby back toward Sebastian. "Bahstin!"
:D
Sebastian felt utterly ridiculous, beaming widely with a baby doll in his hands, but for once, he didn't mind being vulnerable in front of others. "Yeah, Bahstin. Do you want baby to do another dance?"
Layla grinned. "Dance! Baby dance!"
Devon chuckled. "I'm going to go get a glass of water. I'll just be right back."
"Go ahead," Sebastian replied, busying himself with choreographing yet another dance. This is harder than I thought…
(sorry my replies are so short..)
(It's fine! I don't expect a novel. Lol.
Ah! I'm finally back!!!)
Devon smiled softly at the two as she made her way to the kitchen. It was really sweet how caring he was toward Layla; way more than she had ever expected him to be.
(Lol
Eyy how was everything?)
They continued to play until Sebastian set the doll aside. He picked up another toy, hoping she liked the change.
(I got so bored the last two hours… I had nothing to do because it was too dark to read… And the wifi is really slow here. lol.)
Devon stepped back into the room with two glasses of water; one for herself and one for Sebastian.
"I brought you some water. I know you said you didn't want one, but…" she shrugged as she set it on the coffee table. "It's here if you want it."
Layla looked at the new toy, confused. What was wrong with the baby? Couldn't they keep paying with her? "No baby?"
(Oh Oof)
Sebastian bit his lip, before exhaling. “Thanks, Devon.” To Layla, he quickly ammended his mistake. “Yeah, sorry, baby.”
Layla looked between the two toys, now confused. "Baby? Toy? Baby and toy?" Surely they could play with both…
Devon nodded slowly and sat back down on the couch, watching them play as she sipped on her water.
Sebastian sagged his shoulders, raising his head with an amused expression. “Of course. Yeah. Both at the same time?” He picked up the baby again, offering it to her.
Layla giggled and hugged the baby close. "Dance! Toy dance!"
Sighing humorously, he obliged. “You do this everyday?” he asked Devon, attempting to make the toy do a can-can.
(G’morning! How are you?)
(Morning! Tired. Lol. I was up until 1 am RPing. That was smart of me.
You?)
"Sometimes. I think she's just enjoying you playing with her today," Devon chuckled as Layla bubbled happily. "She likes Blues Clues, so we'll watch that together a lot of the time."
(Big oof, I’d tell you you should sleep more, and you should, but then I’d be a huge hypocrite
I’m good, in the car with my whole family for the next eight hours lol)
The name of the show didn’t ring a bell, and he frowned slightly. Regaining his smile, he switched from can-can to Macarena.
