"I am too. I don't think I could forgive myself if anything happened to her." She gave a soft smile. "I know she'll be thrilled to meet you too, but she's a little skittish after…" Her face darkened. "…Never mind."

"Would you like her back?" I asked as I hold out the gem to Rainbow. The little girl Anna had been peeking from the doorway again, her crimson eyes glowing gently as she looked at the gem.

Mallory noticed the little girl and gave a soft smile making her way over to her. "Hey sweetie." She said in a soft tone.

"Yes, please," Rainbow sighed, sounding tired. She held out her hand expectantly, not noticing the child.

I Put the gem back into Rainbows hand gently and carefully "She's lucky to have you looking over her."

Anna looked to Mal and let out a little shy smile "Hiya…I'm Annabeth but people just call me Anna" The small bipedal canine muttered, her ears flicking a bit as Mal got closer, but didn't vanish this time.

She smiled at you and her face went a little green, visibly embarrassed. "T-thank you." Rainbow set the gem in her lap and started picking the ash out of her hair, just to be able to do something while she waited for her friend to return.

She smiled and bent down in front of the girl. "I'm Mallory, but you can call me Mal if you'd like to. Annabeth is a pretty name." She said tenderly:

"Hello Mallory it's nice to meet ya." she responded "Thank you you're name's really pretty too." Annabeth suddenly hugged Mal and said "Welcome to the family Mallory."

She smiled and hugged the girl back. "Thank you." She Said with a soft smile. She felt so much emotion overwhelming her.

"Alright I'll have Joshua set you all up rooms. Come on Ember. While we're gone feel free to explore. We have a library, a garden, a game room, training arena, and the thing that most of you will go for right now…the mess hall. There's a lot more but that should keep you guys busy for now." I said as my sister and I exited the room.

"Pardon, is there anywhere I can clean myself off?" She asked, "Because I'm not going to be able to do this by hand." Rainbow chuckled, seeming to be in a lighter mood.

"until the rooms are created you can take a dip in the garden spring." Ember called out as she and I go to the front desk

"Thanks, ya pebble." She called back, standing up and began walking to the garden, taking the gem along with, putting it back in her breast pocket.

Anna however had not followed any of them but stayed by Mallory's side "How old are you Mallory?" Anna asked as she looked over and cleaned up the damage done by Rainbow by flicking her head up a little, all the pieces flying back up into the ceiling, good as new.

Pull yourself together, Rainbow, you're not here to be buddies with everyone, you shouldn't trust them. I've never seen some of these creatures in the logs, though, they were a couple thousand years old, things could have happened sense then.
She thought, confused as to why she was finding herself liking them in just one night. But luckily, she would able to keep her mind off of this touchy subject as she walked into the garden and peered at the springs.

Anna however had not followed any of them but stayed by Mallory's side "How old are you Mallory?" Anna asked as she looked over and cleaned up the damage done by Rainbow by flicking her head up a little, all the pieces flying back up into the ceiling, good as new.

Mallory smiled at the girl. "I'm sixteen." She said in a soft tone. "And you're twelve?" She asked softly.

"Oh I was right." Anna giggled "Wait! I am twelve…did you look in my head too?" This seemed to raise her interest in Mal.

At the springs Rainbow saw outside a young darker toned boy talking with with someone that was hard to see at first, as they weren't fully solid, but was clearly there if not looked at directly.

"No no DC has great tv shows but Marvel has the best movies." He explained to the figure, both of them sitting in a bench swing.

"what about the Joker movie? That movie was great." the response had been deeper and richer in tone. but came from the boy's mouth.

She gave her a slight look. "You- you don't think it's weird?" She asked looking at the girl with a soft but surprised expression.

She quietly watched as she sat at the edge, looking at them as if they were speaking a whole different language. Rainbow took a scoop of water and splashed it onto her arms, taking her eyes off the two to finally relax.

Back in the room Anna shook her head and spoke into Mal's head 'no it's really neat to meet another one that shares some of the stuff I can do' her crimson eyes flared up for a second and glowed brighter as she held the conversation that only Mal could hear.

At the springs the two in the garden with still were deep in conversation
The boy told the figure "As good or as bad…they almost always end happy, tie everything into neat bows, the bad guy is taken care of and the hero's bring peace and happiness to everyone…."

"I just wish it was that way in real life…the world's such a screwed up place" The figure finished for him.

"It's not just your world…" Rainbow agreed in a mutter, resting one hand on her cheek with a scowl, staring into the water. A couple seconds later she shook her head and pushed her anger away, trying to stay calm.

jake looks around "CAN WE EAT YET!?", his stomach growls like a beast.
