"How do I have anything to do with you kissing a guy in public?" Payton asked, continuing to laugh and resting his head on Kyle's chest.

“Well, when you first stayed over at my house I kissed you…I couldn’t tell you that I kissed you, but now you know that you were my first kiss. Then I wanted to see if kissing other guys would make me feel the same way when I kissed you. It didn’t. Then I convinced myself that you would never like me that way so I tried to kiss other guys to forget that kiss. Didn’t work so I tried girls and guys and I was like nahhh guys are better and yeah.” Kyle chuckled.

Payton stared up at him in shock. "You kissed me while I was sleeping?! We've been dating for almost four months and now you decide to tell me that?" He laughed and hit his forehead on Kyle's chest, shaking his head a little.

“Well, I mean,” Kyle’s shrugged and started laughing. “I should get going. I need to contact some people. You better like your gift if you don’t I’m suing!” He yelled as he got up with his phone and started to get dressed. He texted his friends and none of them could help him. He hesitated before asking Rowan for help. Can you help me with Payton’s birthday gift? Do you know any of your friends or you who know how to play guitar? Kyle texted.

I think Tyler does, I can ask him! What are you planning? ;) Rowan replied.

Payton sighed sadly and curled up under the blankets. "Maybe i'll just stay here all day and cry because you left me." He pouted, hugging Kyle's pillow up to his chest.

He grinned at his phone. “Oh come on, unless you don’t want a gift at all and I personally would be very said if I couldn’t give the person I love a gift to show you how much I thank you for being in my life.”
I want to play a song for him. I already rented the park out for the both of us and I want to sing a song that shows him my love. Am I a sappy person for doing this?

"Fine, fine. Thank you for the mystery gift." Payton reached out for him. "One more hug before you leave?" He asked, flashing him a smile.

“You are very welcome.” Kyle wrapped Payton in a hug and kissed him goodbye. “Byeee, love you.” He left the room and went downstairs and out of the house.

Payton sighed when Kyle left and picked up his phone, scrolling absentmindedly through Instagram.

As long as I need to at least me able to play the first verse. You can steal him he needs someone to be with since I’m not there with him.

Payton and Rowan had gotten lunch in a cafe they both liked and stayed there for a while, waiting for Kyle and talking about their lives since they had last seen each other.

Kyle texted Payton saying he was one his way. Kyle met Payton minutes later. “Hey.” He kissed Payton and put his guitar on the ground. “Did you guys already eat?”

Payton frowned and looked at the guitar and then back up at Kyle. "Yeah, but I can get you something. Why do you have a guitar?" He asked.

Rowan waved at him and sipped his coffee innocently when Payton asked about the guitar, eyes flicking between the two.

"Tyler asked me to carry it for a while. That what I needed to meet him for. He said he was going out for a while. He said I could use it if I wanted." he smiled his eyes flicking to Rowan.

“I didn’t know you played guitar.” He said, letting it go for the moment and gesturing towards the shop counter. “You hungry?” He asked, taking a sip of his coffee.

Rowan let a small smile grace his lips, keeping silent just in case he let something slip.

I don't… "Oh no Rowan just showed me a couple of chords on it for me to play if I want. Yes, I am. I've never been here what's good do you know?" Kyle gave Rowan a look. Do not say a word

“Oh cool. I expect to be sung to in the near future.” Payton giggled.

“Oh everything is good here! Especially their coffee. I worked here the summers of my senior and junior year.” Rowan said quickly, turning away to look up at the counter.

Kyle nodded. "You know I'm not much of a singer, I'm really not good at it. I'm only holding it for him. I'm just going to set it in the corner until he gets back."
