“Hey.” Kyle took a sip from his bottle. “Sit, stay a while.”
“Hey.” Kyle took a sip from his bottle. “Sit, stay a while.”
Payton whirled around and stared down at Kyle, relief flooding through him. “Oh thank god. I thought you had left.” Payton sat down next to him, eyes widened slightly. “I am so so sorry Kyle. All those things I said, I didn’t mean them, I swear. I was really drunk but that’s not an excuse to be such a dick to you.” He said desperately, keeping on his gaze on Kyle.
“Can you not tease me, when it comes to hurting you? I feel like shit when you remind me over and over again, how I hurt you. You don’t think I’m sorry? I’ve told you over and over again that I am sorry every time I hear you talk about me being drunk. I’m not apologizing for our first kiss because honestly I don’t regret it, but you very much do. Every time you joke about me being drunk and kissing over and over I want to die because it’s always going to be in the back of your head for you to bring up years later.”
“I..I won’t tease you about it again, I promise. I joke about it cause I’m trying to make it alright and not get paranoid about our relationship. I’m not mad, I swear, and I don’t regret it ether. I just..every time I think about what happened I’m always afraid you meant to confess to someone else or..or maybe we never would’ve gotten together if we didn’t go to that party and I’d be stuck living my life without you. I don’t regret it, not even a little bit. And I’m so happy you’re my boyfriend. I’m so sorry I made you mad and made you feel like shit. I didn’t think about what I was saying and it’s not true cause I know you would never hurt me and I’m so so sorry..” he trailed off, resting his elbow on his knee and resting his forehead in his hands, shaking silently. “I’m really sorry..I was so mean to you..”
Kyle put the bottle on the table and kissed Payton’s lips. It was a soft kiss and he put all his love into it. “I’m glad I’m not the one apologizing for once.” He sniffled. “Please don’t say anything like that again?”
Payton looked at him, his lips still trembling. “Say anything like what? Actually it doesn’t matter, I’ll just never say anything again.” He said quietly, rubbing ya his eyes.
“That would be best.” Kyle kissed him once more. “But no more kisses before I don’t want to get you drunk I’ve had two bottles of alcohol already and not the little ones.” He laughed and wiped his nose. “I’m a mess.”
Payton nodded, fully committing to going silent. He began wiping at Kyle’s face with his sleep and fixing his hair as gentle as he could, biting his lip in concentration. He stood up and went inside, coming out a second later with a cup of water and handing it to Kyle.
"Thanks…" He drank some of the water and then spit it out. "Rowan was right is does taste bad!" Kyle laughed some and wiped his mouth.
Payton scrunched his nose up and avoided the stream of water, pushing the cup back towards Kyle and holding it near his mouth.
Kyle opened his mouth and let the water flow down his throat. "You should really thank Rowan, he is a really good drunk therapist."
Payton nodded, laying his head in his arms on the table and looking around them, swinging his legs back and forth and occasionally bumping into Kyle’s.
Rowan happened to be passing by and laid down on his stomach on the table, leaning over Payton and grinning. “Forgot to mention therapy sessions cost 100 bucks an hour. Pay up Kyle.” He giggled.
"Oh shut up!" Kyle elbowed him. "But thanks, man. Glad I got to talk to you and Not just Payton. Even though you two have a lot to talk about. Also, can I have your number? You might come in handy for therapy sessions and advice for when I want to take Payton somewhere special~" Kyle kissed Payton's cheek.
Payton closed his eyes and smiled contentedly at Kyle’s kiss. He reached over and took his hand, holding it close to his chest.
“Gross, no.” Rowan stuck his tongue out. “I’m kidding, course you can.” He pulled out his phone, giving Kyle his number. He grinned down at his friend and poked his cheek. “Aww how sweet. He’s all sleepy.”
"Really? Can you drive us home then? I'm still drunk and Payton will fall asleep at the wheel." Kyle got up and helped Payton up.
“I cannot, because I am pretty wasted. I know someone who can though!” Rowan sang, standing up and going inside. He came back out a minute later clinging to a guy with bleach blonde hair. “He can drive us home!” He announced happily.
Payton clung to Kyle sleepily, blinking up at the guy and smiling, waving a little. “Hi Tyler.” He murmured, following Rowan towards his car.
Rowan cheered and walked a little before stopping. “Oh no.” He muttered, pointing to a white car a little bit ahead of them. “The car’s right there! I’ll be right back!” He called, running back towards the house.
Kyle raised an eyebrow. He waited for Rowan to get back. "Payton didn't introduce me to you. I'm Kyle." he smiled lightly as he spoke.
“Nice to meet you.” Tyler smiled gently, laughing softly as Rowan came back with a grumpy looking Grayson following behind him.
“Okay~ Let’s go!” Rowan bounded forward and gave Kyle his keys before hopping inside the car with Grayson at his side.
Payton climbed into the backseat and curled up in Kyle’s lap, humming softly and nearly falling asleep as they began driving.
Kyle smiled at Payton and played with his hair. "This night turned out to be one hell of a ride."
Payton smiled a little and leaned up to his ear. “You still love me and I still love you and that’s all that matters..” He whispered, settling back in his lap and closing his eyes until they got back to Kyle’s house.
"Yeah, yeah, go back to sleep." Kyle laughed and got out at their Stop. "Thanks for driving!" Kyle picked Payton up and got him out the car. "Can someone help me unlock the door?"
Rowan jumped happily out of the car, following Kyle up to the house. “Take care of him okay? And tell him that I’m kidnapping him to go get coffee before I leave. Also tell him that I love him!” Rowan said after helping Kyle.
“Of course, don’t take him for too long I need my Payton back as soon as possible. Have a good night!” He yelled nudging the door open with his foot.
Rowan nodded and laughed, heading back to the car and driving away.
Payton stirred a little and blinked awake, lifting his head and looking around before letting it drop back in the crook of Kyle’s neck.
"Let's get you washed up and ready for bed. We both reek of alcohol." Kyle walked up the stairs and opened the door to the bathroom. He turned on the shower so the water would fill up the tub. "Okay," Kyle lifted Payton's shirt off his head. He never really saw under his shirt until now so he bit his lip and then shook his head. "Okay…"
