"Thanks for always being there for me. You've been more of a brother than Noah."
"Thanks for always being there for me. You've been more of a brother than Noah."
He smiled, "You're welcome, I'm always happy to be there for you,"
Jami rested. Those words felt…nice. They felt…soothing. Warm.
He smiled again and closed his eyes, leaving his hands on her back as he waited to see if she was going to fall asleep.
Jami closed her eyes. It wasn't long before she fell asleep with Seb's steady breathing.
He fell asleep as well much to his surprise, he didn't usually sleep that much. His dreams wandered to building his inventions and living with Jami, both of them happy.
Jami woke up suddenly and fell on the floor. She'd had a dream about Noah.
As soon as she fell Sebastian jolted awake, not feeling her by him anymore, "Jami?" He said, sitting up and seeing her on the floor, "Jami, are you alright?"
Jami looked up, but not at him, and her eyes were glowing bright blue. There was suddenly an overwhelming amount of spirits in the room and she curled up in a ball.
"Jami?" He said a little softer, reaching out a hand to her, "Are you ok? What's wrong? Is there something I can do to help?" He peppered her with questions, concerned for her.
Jami didn't respond. There were so many voices and cries that she couldn't stand it.
He got worried when she didn't answer and he scooted off the couch, scooping her into his arms gently, "Jami, tlk to me, I need to know what's going on so I can help."
The sound of the spirits became overwhelmingly loud and she could only hear a ringing in her ears. "JUST STOP!" She yelled. Everything was suddenly silent.
Sebastian froze as well, looking down at her with wide eyes. He sunk down onto the couch again slowly and watched her.
"Please. Please just leave me alone. I don't want these powers. I don't want to see you."
His eyes widened larger and he nodded halfheartedly, carefully laying her on the couch and standing up. He walked to his room and grabbed a thick and fluffy blanket, draping it over her and resting a pillow under his head as he nodded again, "I'll be in my workroom if you need anything." He said softly, brushing a hand over her shoulder before walking to his workroom.
"Please. Just go away," Jami whispered to the spirits, tears streaming down her face.
He didn't open the door to the room, his painful power making it so that he couldn't grab the handle and he gasped as he walked through the door, he whole body feeling like he was being stuck with pins. He knew exactly why his power showed up when they did, they came when he was sad and worried, and he was.
When the silence had been in place for a while, Jami opened her eyes. She saw Noah's spirit immediately. "SEB!" She called. "SEB! Where are you?!"
"In my workroom," he called, scrambling to his feet from where he was sitting on the floor, "I'm coming." He opened the door this time, focusing on making his hand become solid enough to grab the handle. His whole body still stung but he pushed it away as he rushed to Jami.
Jami looked at him sadly. "I'm sorry. I wasn't talking to you. The room was filled with spirits. Now I can only see Noah's."
He nodded softly, "It's alright, though it did worry me..enough to phase through my door, I'm alright though." He lied, he was clearly not alright and she could probably tell. This kind of thing had happened before and his skin and everything had hurt for almost a day straight, making it so painful that he could barely function.
Jami looked at him, looking in to his mind. "You're not fine though, Seb. I can sense it."
"I promise I'm fine Jami." He lied again, shaking his head, "I'll be good as new in a little bit." He walked to the couch and sat down by her, focusing on making himself solid enough to sit down.
"No, Seb. You're not. I'm a telepath. I know when people are hurting and I know when people are lying. Tell me the truth."
