(hehehe I just wanted to participate a little in what might be going on behind the scenes. Also yes, half orcs are cool. I just feel like Ishtar shouldn't have canines sticking out of her bottom lip, as thats the way I automatically picture her)

(Well who's to say she doesn't? Victor did find body parts from some suspicious places, maybe he just fucked up her jaw a little?)

Deleted user

(It's canon now, Ishtar's jaw is just Like That and her teethies are the Big Chompers.)

Deleted user

(Well I just kinda needed something fun. Also, creechur has lion/wolf teeths. It's canon, if you're one of Victor's creations you Do Not have normal teeth.)

(In part a RKS lyric, in part a reference to just literally me I would also like to trans my gender via a fucked up and evil potion and then be gay do drugs and also crime.)

Anna smiled, a bit strictly but still a smile. "Breakfast is the picnic, and if you carry the basket I'll ignore it if you think of peeking. I just thought getting an early start might be nice, and nothing works up a good appetite like a nice walk." she wasn't entirely doing this to torture Robert, she did indeed enjoy a good exercise, but she also knew that mildly annoying her brother in law was one of her greatest talents and joys in life.

He snorted. "Fiddlesticks, I thought the picnic was lunch. Fine," he groaned. "I can carry it. I suppose I'll be the gentleman, for once. Maybe it will actually be worth it." He gave Anna a wink, then looked over to Esme. "Well you look lovely today, miss Esmerelda. Are you excited?"

(Anna when they find Victor: I'm not even here to rescue you, you bastard. That's Robert's job at this point.)

"Yeah! Ishtar is gonna play with me and we're gonna go add some bugs to my bug collection!" she smiled, while Ishtar gave a blank and confused smile. "I packed six jars, for transportation, and I have a maximum of sixteen empty habitats waiting in my room for whatever we catch!" she said, serious in the way a small child was rather than last night, where she'd been serious in a much more grown up sense.

Anna grinned, and handed Robert the huge, heavy basket filled with food and other supplies. "You did say you'd carry it." she grinned, leading the family and the creatures out of the house swiftly, with no-one left behind.

@Tired-but-passionate

(Pfffft)

“Well blimey, that sounds exciting,” he chuckled. He took the basket, a sassy glimmer in his eye. “Yes, I did say that. Just five seconds ago.”
Robert heaved the basket onto his shoulder and fell alongside the creature as he walked. Despite the burden on his shoulder, the fresh air and his inner gentleman kept him from trying to hand it over to the tall fellow.

(Okay because while she does want him back she doesn’t want to be the one responsible for getting him back because that would mean she cared about Victor. Which, she does, but she’s still a bit too angry to admit it.)

The creature snatched the basket from Robert anyways, carrying it alongside in one hand. “You are puny, and weak, and human, I am the most logical choice to carry anything.” he explained. He wasn’t the best at sensing people’s needs but when he did, he could be very blunt about it.

@Tired-but-passionate

(awww Annaaaaa)

Robert stared at him, his hand dropping to his sides. "Thanks for the compliment. But seriously, thank you."
He stretched his arm and rubbed his shoulder a bit, his mind drifting back to the nightmares. He still couldn't remember them, they were lost to him, but remembering them made him think about the previous night. Had something scared him so bad that he had nightmares? The things Esme said were eerie, sure, but he mostly felt sad then. And Ishtar's arrival was certainly a shock, but that was mostly rage. Did nightmares come from other emotions than fear? It always seemed that the other repeating nightmares he had were fueled by it, and nothing else.
Ah, better not think about it. You don't want them to come back tonight, now do you?
Instead, he looked around him, taking in the scenery. This was one of the trails he often took on his walks, with trees on either side. He knew there was a meadow up ahead, but they weren't there yet. Bird calls rang through the air, and Robert saw a butterfly once or twice. After yesterday, it seemed almost too perfect, but he didn't mind.

The grass was still damp from the rain, and Esme was splashing in the puddles on the dirt road, Ishtar tentatively avoiding them. However, as the group went on, things slowly dried off and warmed up, with not a cloud in the sky. A butterfly landed on Esme's nose, and she shooed it off gently. Really, butterflies were everywhere the farther out you got, flowers of all colors blooming everywhere. When they reached the fields, just about everyone was hungry and Anna herself was starting to slow. "We're here, let's set up then." Anna ordered, taking the picnic basket from the creature and laying an old quilt out on the grass.

@Tired-but-passionate

By now, Robert's stomach was growling. With an embarrassed chuckle, he smoothed down the quilt and helped Anna set up, taking out the lemonade from the basket. With the lemonade out of the way, he took a closer look inside. A smile spread on his face.
"I see biscuits, sandwiches, ham…" he reported delightedly. "Maggie, when did you make all this?"

"Well, I just worked on it last night while you were sleeping, I thought it would be nice to just give us a day out. Don't worry, I'll sleep later." she smiled. "But I wanted to give us a good day out. So please don't worry about me too much." she said quickly, waving her hands. Ishtar was running around in the tall grass, and Esme was following, trying to keep up despite her tiny little legs and little coordination skills and Ishtar quickly doubled back and slowed down to allow Esme a fighting chance of keeping up.

@Tired-but-passionate

He frowned. “I wasn’t worrying. Now that you’ve told me not to, I’m suddenly worrying now. Please get some sleep later, you deserve it.”
After he helped setting up, he stood up and stretched his limbs, watching Ishtar and Esme, a light smile playing on his face. As he bent over to the side to stretch his torso, his stomach growled, a painful vibration in his gut.
“Shall we dine, ladies?”

(Who's to say they can't be eating that? Margaret doesn't give a shit about mealtimes, if you need meat ya need meat. And Robert's probably a little unhealthy from his voyage anyways.)

"Oh, why yes, of course," Anna said with a bit of flair. She was feeling fun today, and could afford sympathy for now. "You first, but save some of the wine for me and my lovely wife. I would drink a toast to her beauty, which has never withered but only grown stronger in the years we've been married, her strong voice and laughter like a gust of wind carrying us through our marriage smoothly." if Robert was starting to notice something was off, he could only say something now before Anna totally lost it. Margaret was too timid to bother with these things normally, but she could have a sharp tongue when it really mattered. This, however, was easy enough to let slide, so she did.

(Also: I finally broke and read Hamlet. HOWEVER. It was the Sparknotes comic version because it helped me eyes actually know what was going on, as well as me ears. So technically I am still victorious in my streak of not technically having read Hamlet. Imma do Macbeth next, that'll be a laugh for me.)

(Also I know you previously mentioned bringing in our only valid Straight couple, if only for a cameo, but I actually had some ideas for that if you'd be open to hearing them.)
