"No, no joke. It's only been a month or so. I've been trying to find a way to tell you for a few weeks. Thought I really should tell you now that we're getting married."
"No, no joke. It's only been a month or so. I've been trying to find a way to tell you for a few weeks. Thought I really should tell you now that we're getting married."
He blew out a puff of air, his breath a white cloud. He couldn't exactly define his emotions at the moment. He knew he was excited, but he was…scared. "Okay.*
"You're not…mad I didn't tell you?"
Of all the emotions, he didn't think that anger would be one of them. But when she mentioned it, it suddenly sparked. "I- I just. I'm not sure." He turned to her. "I…I really." He sighed. "I don't know."
"Look, I'm sorry I didn't tell you," Lyric said. She took Axl's face in her hands. "But I want to take this journey with you. If you'll still go with me."
He looked into her eyes and searched for the true apology he'd heard. He found it quickly. "Weeks though? Of not telling me?" Why are you still caught up on this?
"Hey, it's not easy telling your boyfriend that you're pregnant," Lyric retorted. "Especially if you don't know if it's going further or if he's even wanting kids."
(Hahahaha oof I'mma keep this going for just a bit because I have a perfect little thingy)
"Well, it's not easy to trust your girlfriend who you're planning to spend the rest of your life with after she lies about something that big!" He could feel his voice raising higher. "How am I supposed to trust that you'll tell the truth?"
"I didn't lie!" Lyric yelled, stunned at Axl's reaction. "I just didn't tell you! There's a big difference between telling the truth and evading it!"
"That's what we call omission! You withheld a big secret there Lyric! That's something I oughta know!" He raised his voice unintentionally over hers. "I'm you boyfriend, now fiance; you can't just not tell me something! Especially that!"
"If I'd known you'd react like that, I would've gotten an abortion!" Lyric yelled. She took the ring off her finger. "You can keep this until your decision has changed! Until then, we're through!" She thrusted the ring into Axl's hand and then ran off.
Shock ran through his veins stopping him in his tracks. He stood for a moment before snapping back. "Wait!" He ran up and grabbed her by the wrist, turning her back. "Look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you or snap or any of that. I'm sorry. I. I really love you. I can't go without you. Or the baby now." Now that he thought about it, a baby seemed…new and exciting. "Please forgive me."
"[insert quote here]. Right now, I just need a bit of time," Lyric said, then walked away.
(I have tge quote, but it's on my laptop so I can't see it)
He could only watch as she walked away. You really screwed up this one. Once she was out of view, he spun around, eyes closed. He stopped and kicked snow up. "Idiot idiot IDIOT!"
When Lyric got around the corner and out of Axl's eyesight, she leaned against the wall. Crying, she fell to her knees and sat against the wall with her legs to her chest. Why did I do that? Why did he react like that?
"Why why why why why WHY?!?!?" He cursed to the sky. "THE ONE TIME!! JUST NOW?!" FRICK. Everything seemed to be falling to pieces after the few seconds of her leaving. I can't go without her…
Lyric wiped away her tears and stood up. She started walking away. Her apartment was in the direction of the park but she didn't want to see Axl just then, so she went the long way.
He blew out another puff of air, it becoming white in the wind. I need to think. Just beside the park was a forest. He had always gone there to think alone. His feet knew the way after going so many times. He practically flew into it, the land going down. It was steep and snowy, but he made it down safely. There was a limestone bed near a stream at the bottom. It had been frozen over. What am I supposed to do now?
Lyric unlocked her apartment and closed the door. She slumped against it, head in hands. Her kitten noticed her sadness and padded over. Lyric picked her up and placing the kitten in her lap. "Oh, Gypsy. What am I going to do?" She asked the ash grey kitten with big green eyes.
(hey I think you'd be good in my new RP. It's called don't leave and it's in limited)
(Okalee dokalee neighbor)
He followed the limestone bed until it became a ledge. He sighed. "You really messed up this time, you idiot." His hands found his jacket pockets as he stood and looked over everything.
The kitten mewled. "Don't be ridiculous, kitty," Lyric said. "That won't work. But it could… No, it wouldn't."
Maybe a romantic gesture… He stood there for a few moments before sitting down. His legs hung of the edge. Something big…
Bigger than a proposal?
Maybe if you do it right.
Lyric picked the kitten up and then stood. She walked over to the freezer and grabbed out chocolate ice cream. With the kitten over her arm, a spoon in the mouth and the ice cream in her hand, she flopped down on the couch with her favourite TV show.
Right.
He pulled out his phone and typed in some numbers before putting it up to his ears.
Ring….Ring….Ring….
"Hello?"
"Hey, I need your help."
"What for?"
"I messed up."
(I'm gonna let you know, this has only just happened
Lyric loves greatest showman)
Lyric got sick of the TV show quickly and looked for a movie. Finding The Greatest Showman, she played it and watched the musical masterpiece.
