(Shall we skip to the park? Or another place? Or nah?)
(No we can skip to the park)
The couple pulled up at the park. Even covered in snow, it look beautiful.
Axl got out and opened her door for her. "After you." He smiled goofily to cover how much he was freaking out. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it.
Lyric stepped out onto the fresh snow that was layered over the grass. There was Lyric's favourite part of the part. The arches had been laced with white fairy lights, and the surrounding trees has them thought their branches.
"Come here," he whispered smiling down to her. He took her hand, warming up her small hand with the warmth from his own, and lead her to the arches.
I'm actually doing this. Wow. I can't. Wait. No, I'm doing this.
He sighed as they came beneath the arches, the lights becoming stars around them as small snowflakes drifted down. "Hey Lyric?"
"Yeah?" Lyric breathed as she looked up at the arches and trees. She wasn't looking at Axl.
Doitnowdoitnowdoitnow DO IT NOW!
"You wanna dance?" Idiot. I'll just twirl her a little far and get down on one knee. He held out his hand for her to take.
Lyric turned and smiled at Axl, placing her hand on his. Caught up in the beauty of the park, she didn't think of anything happening.
He began to smile like an idiot as he took her hand and held her waist gently in the other. He brought her as close as he could, looking down at her and her beauty. He swayed gently to imaginary music and tried to rack up the courage to ask her. "You're beautiful, you know that?"
"So I've been told," Lyric joked, smiling.
He chuckled. "Well, you are. You should know because-" he spun her around and let go of her hand "-I love you." He dropped down on one knee, bringing out the box and opening it. The diamond dazzled in the lights. "And I can't handle not having you in my life. And I was wondering if you couldn't either. Point is, will you, Lyric, my love, marry me?"
Lyric was stunned. "I…Axl…I can't…" She trailed off. "I can't stand not having you in my life either. Of course I'll marry you. Nothing would make me happier."
(Oh snap, I lost this)
He was smiling so hard his cheeks hurt. "Yes!" He took out the ring and took her hand in the other. The ring slid gently onto her finger. "I love you so much."
"I love you more," Lyric smiled, pulling her now fiance into a kiss.
"That's debatable," he muttered into the kiss. He pulled her as close as he possibly could and kissed her. Her lips were soft and warm as they always were. He placed his hands on her waist. I love her I love her I love her I love her.
Lyric, who was normally shorter than Axl, jumped up and wrapped her legs around Axl's waist, still kissing him.
He adjusted his arms as she jumped and held her there. He kissed her harder, just wanting to be near her. Oh, Lyric. His lungs seemed to scream at him for air, but he refused to give it. She was now his oxygen.
A thought popped into Lyrics head. She broke away from the kiss, slightly breathless. "How much did it cost?" She breathed.
"That's not relevant." He caught his breath as she did, gently placing his forehead on hers. His eyes were closed. My entire savings. He had never had much money, but once ye had enough, he took it all the shop to get the ring. He couldn't wait.
"If you don't want to tell me, don't. But my step-dad is paying for the wedding," Lyric said, her voice and expression showing that Axl should not argue with her.
He knew the tone all too well. Last time he tried to go up against it he lost. Really badly. He sighed a little before hesitantly nodding his head. "Okay."
"Thank you," Lyric replied. "Can I tell you something?"
(wanna skip to the wedding?
after this question is answered)
(Sure)
"Sure?" It came out as a question for reasons he didn't know. "What's up?"
Lyric tapped Axl's arm so that he would drop her. She felt like she needed to be on the ground for this. "I'm pregnant."
"Wait, what?" He set her down gently. Everything seemed to go silent. His mind was racing a million miles per hour. "Is this a joke?"
