Bridge kissed him back, smiling a little as he leaned further against Wolf, if that was even possible.
Wolf pulled him as close as he could get, tilting his head slightly as he practically melted into the couch. This right here… It was perfect. Bridge was perfect.
Bridge had never imagined, in his entire life, that he would be here - with a boy who loved him, a place he felt safe, here in Wolf's arms. But here he was. And he loved it.
Though it's only been about a week, it's felt like a lifetime with Bridge. The three words had surfaced not long ago, but they hadn't left his mind all day and were itching to escape his lips—and so they did. Wolf briefly broke the kiss to utter the three words bouncing around in his head. "I love you." His heart pounded as he waited for Bridge's response. I blew it, I just know I did.
Bridge took a minute to process the words, large eyes dancing around Wolf's face. He loved him? He hadn't thought this was possible, but he felt very happy. He smiled widely. "I…I love you too."
Wolf took a few seconds to register Bridge's response, then grinned when he finally did. He then wrapped his arms around Bridge and kissed him deeply.
Bridge let his eyes slip shut, kissing him back with a small smile.
His arms didn't stay around Bridge for long, as Wolf's hands eventually made their way up to gently cup Bridge's face.
Bridge pulled away for a moment for air, leaning his head against Wolf's and letting his hands slide over his face.
"I can't imagine anyone I'd rather be with right now," Wolf murmured, eyes half closed from sheer happiness and content.
"Me neither," He responded in a near whisper.
Wolf kissed the corners of Bridge's mouth teasingly, a small smile on his lips as he did so.
Bridge giggled a little, kissing him quickly before pulling away again with a shy little smile.
Wolf chuckled and smiled back, moving his hands back to Bridge's waist.
Bridge seemed to soften at his touch, resting his head against Wolf's collarbone.
Wolf's fingers made invisible patterns as he sighed softly and leaned his chin on Bridge's head.
Bridge smiled to himself. He couldn't believe his luck with this boy, and he wasn't about to throw it away.
Wolf's fingers trailed down to Bridge's hips, and he hummed a random melody that didn't belong to any particular song.
Bridge blushed a little bit, his arms draped around Wolf's shoulders. He couldn't imagine a better place to be.
Wolf paused, biting his lip. He slid his hands back up to Bridge's waist and resumed the patterns.
"Why…why did you stop?" Bridge asked quietly.
Wolf tilted his head slightly, looking into Bridge's eyes. "Did you want me to continue?" he murmured.
He nodded, kissing him quickly before going back to where he was.
Wolf slid his hands back down to Bridge's hips and drew the invisible patterns.
Bridge smiled to himself, unintentionally breathing into Wolf's neck.
