Bridge sighed a little, greatly enjoying his touch as he leaned into Wolf a little more.
Wolf took that as a good sign and kept it up, breaking the kiss for air once more.
He grinned adorably, burying his head in the crook of Wolf's shoulder.
Wolf huffed a small, startled laugh, his one hand moving up to press against the back of Bridge's head. His fingers lightly combed through the boy's hair.
Bridge smiled wider to himself at Wolf's touch, relaxing a little. He felt safe, and loved - things he had almost forgotten.
Wolf moved his other hand to lightly wrap around Bridge's waist, hugging him close as he closed his eyes and enjoyed the feeling of Bridge in his arms.
Bridge's breaths became soft and slow, but still constant as he rested his head there. It felt good, being here in Wolf's arms.
Wolf turned his head slightly to press his cheek against Bridge's head, a soft, idle smile on his lips as his own breathing slowed.
Bridge knew he would fall asleep soon, and this - in his mind, at least - was the perfect place to do so.
It was a good thing Bridge was small and light, as Wolf didn't really want to move the boy from where he was.
So there Bridge slept, his eyes slipping shut in actual happiness for the first time in years.
"Goodnight, Bridge," Wolf murmured before falling asleep as well.
((skip))
Bridge's eyes blinked open, his mind fuzzy for a moment before he realized where he was. With Wolf. That's right.
Wolf remained asleep, his lips parted slightly as he slept soundly. His hair was, of course, fluffed around and messed up.
Bridge looked up at him, smiling tiredly and reaching up to run a little hand through his hair.
Wolf cracked open an eye, a sleepy smile creeping up his lips. He liked the feeling of Bridge touching his hair.
Bridge kept playing with Wolf's hair, laying his head back on his shoulder. He very much liked how it felt to wake up with Wolf holding him.
Wolf's eye closed again as he hummed and leaned into Bridge's touch, his own hands idly running up and down Bridge's sides.
Bridge probably blushed a little, although it was too early in the morning for him to notice. Instead, he sighed softly and happily against Wolf's collarbone.
Wolf felt a pleasant chill run through him, centering around where Bridge had sighed against him. He opened his eyes and gazed at Bridge.
Bridge looked up with those innocent doe eyes of his, which were lighter in the morning light. "Yes?"
"Nothin," Wolf said, his voice husky from sleep, "Just admiring the view."
Bridge smiled and probably blushed yet again for the second time in five minutes. And his voice. It was just another thing to add to the list of things he loved about Wolf.
Wolf shifted slightly, holding Bridge to prevent disturbing him much, then settled back down. He smiled at Bridge's blush, which now could pretty much be called a part of the cute boy with how much it made an appearance.
Bridge sighed against his collarbone again, one of mere content. He was content, here, with no worries of what was going on outside.
