"Yes," Harina said, as if this was obvious. She seemed distracted, so Karia tried to pull his arm out of her grasp. She wasn't so distracted that it worked, but it seemed to remind her that he was there. "Hmph! Have your 'friend'." Harina pushed Karia towards Sam and stepped away, pulling a knife out and holding it at the ready. "He can watch as I kill you."
Sam had to move his knife from its trajectory so it wouldn't accidentally hit Karia, moving into a fighting position.
"I'd say you have it backward, but I have something much less merciful in mind for you." Sam hummed some, quite enjoying this. He lunged, aiming to hit Harina in most any way, really.
Karia quickly got out of Sam and Harina's way, looking forward to watching this play out. Voices were getting louder in the courtyard, though– people had probably noticed the impending fight.
Harina, meanwhile, managed to dodge Sam's first attack. She attacked right back, maybe going for his arm. Karia had to laugh, because he knew how this was going to end. She would get knicked, and then she would be gone. He glanced back into the courtyard to see people staring up at him. Well, if any came up, he'd keep them away from Sam and Harina until Sam could get her.
Sam was ignoring everything but Harina by now. He dodged easily, moving his knife to his second hand, laughing. He was enjoying himself immensely, sliding to the side to slash from there. He was practically toying with Harina, no pun intended.
Harina looked like her head was going to explode with anger. She managed to evade Sam's second attack, but seemed to realize that the man wasn't taking this very seriously. This only made her madder, and she lunged at Sam, her knife aimed for his throat.
Sam made it seem like he was about to be hit, but moved to the side just before she hit, his hand going up to grab her wrist and hold her in place. In a moment, his knife was up, resting it on her cheek a moment.
"You lose," he said softly, pushing it to draw a thin linea cross her skin, not even deep enough for the blood to fall. Still, it was enough. Who knew just what would happen to her know, what her transformation would look like.
Harina wore a look of shock, though it quickly melted into humor. "I lose? You didn't even draw blood." Karia glanced over at the two from his spot, laughed, and went back to staring down the people in the courtyard. A few had braved the stairs, coming up slowly.
"No need. It's already too late for you." Sam still held Harina's wrist in his hand, and he couldn't help but chuckle at what he felt. He lifted his hand, knocking it against her forehead. It was hard, too hard, like he was knocking on porcelain already.
"Besides I don't think you have any left~"
"What?" Harina sounded confused now. Karia grinned at her, then turned to Sam.
"Good job, Sam." He smiled at the man.
"What did you do?" A random person yelled from the stairs. Karia turned towards them and sighed.
"Are you almost ready to go, Sam?" He asked over his shoulder, giving the nearest person a warning glare.
"Just doing my thing~" Sam said to Karia.
"I'm ready to go, yeah. This transformation seems to be taking longer than normal to complete, so I'd think we'd be fine to leave now." Sam looked at Harina a moment, sighing. He picked her up under one arm. She was a few inches shorter than before, but it'd still be some time.
"Ready~!"
"Well, you just keep doing it." Karia winked at Sam, then looked back at the people on the stairs. The easiest way out would be for him to teleport him, Sam, and Harina out of there. It was a bit risky, but not many people other than Harina knew he could do that, and she was dead, basically. "Alright, here we go." Karia hurried over to Sam and grabbed his arm, holding onto Harina with his other hand. A second later, all three were standing in the middle of their apartment.
Sam stretched when they were back in the apartment, yawning with a pleased look on his face. By now, Harina was about three feet tall, the process still going. Her limbs were too stiff for her to move on her own, but she's still be able to talk. Sam just hoped she didn't figure that part out, seeing how much of a bitch she'd probably be.
"Well, that was fun!" The man finally said, the woman tucked securely under one arm.
"Ha, that was!" Karia agreed, shifting back into his normal self. "Thank you, Sam, for helping me with this problem." He gave Sam a huge smile, then smirked at Harina.
"Karia? You hired an assassin?" Harina shrieked, apparently finally recognizing him. "You'll pay for this!"
"Mm, thank you for the new doll, she'll be much better once she can't talk." Sam looked down at Harina, plopping down on the couch with her in his lap.
"Assassin? You think too much of me. I asked to do this, quite frankly, because I wanted to. If anyone here is to blame, it's me. Besides, I'm quite confident in both of our abilities to get away with this." Sam started to do what he always did when he got a new doll- he started looking Harina over. He couldn't take measurements until she was done shrinking- she was two foot now- but he could definitely get ideas for new outfits, and any altercations to her herself he might want to make. He shifted her hair around, quite the touchy-feely man, despite there not really being anything inappropriate for him to touch left.
"Besides, it's not like you're dead. More… trapped, than anything." She still hadn't been forced to shut up yet, it seemed, but so long as she didn't get hurt the transformation would end soon enough.
Too bad Sam forgot that. He'd probably hit her if she kept talking, dooming them both to having to deal with a whiny brat.
Karia grinned at Sam, once again very glad he had met him. "Mmm, I agree."
"What– why– what are you doing?" Harina squeaked, sounding quite panicked. Karia was having the time of his life, and he couldn't help but laugh.
"Oh, wow, this is the best! Sam, you are the best!"
Sam chuckled some, hitting Harina's forehead with the heel of his palm.
"Whatever I want," he hummed, laughing again. Of course, he'd been too hard on her, seeing as she was knocked off balance and dangerously close to falling. Sam wasn't paying much attention, looking up to give Karia another smirk.
"Thanks, I know~" he said, laughing heartily. "Really, thank you, I know this is gonna be a lot of fun messing with her."
"Ooh, it really is." Karia came over and tilted his head. "This is what happens when you're rude and generally unlikable, Harina."
"Karia!" Harina managed. Karia grinned and wiggled his fingers at her.
"Yes, that's me. I win."
"Mm- ah, shit," Sam mumbled, his movements accidentally knocking Harina off his lap. He reached down, picking her up to check her all over for any cracks. He really wasn't a shy man when it came to his dolls, it seemed, with how… thoroughly he checked her over.
"I never did like rude people," Sam said with a hum. "It brings me great pleasure to… put them in their place." The man laughed some, Harina upside down in his hands.
Karia nodded in agreement, smirking again at the woman. She had been a thorn in his side for a very long time, but thanks to Sam, she was finally gone. And no one would think it was him, except for maybe Ocean, but that man couldn't do anything to him.
"Mm, so what now?" Sam asked, setting the still two-foot-tall doll on his lap again, wrapping his arm's around Harina casually.
"Anyone else you think would be fun to doll, or should we do something else?" The man laughed some, deftly braiding and unbraiding parts of the woman's hair as he fiddled with her.
"Actually, there is one other guy…" Karia mused, tapping his chin. Adrian was also very annoying, but he was also much less easy-to-anger than Harina. "He would be harder to find, but…" He shrugged. "What do you think?"
"Sure, why not!" Sam laughed softly. "But, I do have a question did I just take, like, a mob boss or something? I didn't just start any turf wars, did I?" The man laughed, not really caring either way.
"Perfect." Karia grinned. "You did. I may be pointing you in the direction of very annoying, yet very powerful people." He shrugged. "You didn't unless someone connects you to me, and even then… who cares. She wasn't that important anyway." Karia waved away the possibility. "I'll show you where this guy normally hangs around, and then we can have a celebratory feast. What do you think?"
"Aah, good to know," Sam said, looking down at Harina. Her shrinking had stopped at two feet, unfortunately, but if she did have the ability to talk still she was smart enough to keep quiet.
"Eh, sounds good to me. Even if one did start, you'd definitely have an advantage." Sam winked, playing with Harina's hair still.
"Perfect! Hopefully we'll be able to at least spot him, even if we don't get a chance to do anything."
"Hmm, I would indeed." Karia winked right back at Sam, then headed towards the door. "Yeah, it'll be fun. Sightseeing!" He opened the door and was immediately shoved back into the room by a very angry blonde man– Ocean Kage.
"I know it was you. What did you do with Harina?" Ocean exclaimed, stepping into the apartment and slamming the door behind him. Karia blinked up at him from the ground, then laughed.
