Sam chuckled softly himself.
"Will she be much of a threat?" He wanted to know just how much of a fight this woman would put up. He'd never been one to do commissioned kills, but he wasn't against the idea.
Sam chuckled softly himself.
"Will she be much of a threat?" He wanted to know just how much of a fight this woman would put up. He'd never been one to do commissioned kills, but he wasn't against the idea.
"Hmm…" Karia paused, thinking about Harina. She was decent at fighting, but he'd definitely seen better. Sam would most likely have no issue against her. "Probably not," He decided, shaking his head.
"Alright then. Shouldn't be too bad, then." Sam hummed some to himself, thinking.
"Not for you, no." Karia laughed and shook his head. "Hey, why don't I introduce you to her?" He suddenly sat up, looking excited. "That way you know what she looks like. What do you say?"
"I say sure. I'm to assume you wouldn't want me to do anything?" Sam chuckled a bit. He understood there might be reasons, but it would be easier if he could just deal with her then and there.
"Wonderful!" Karia shot to his feet, appearance melting into one of a short young man with long black hair. "Eh, if she does anything particularly annoying, feel free to stab her. She won't know it's me, so it can't hurt." He laughed and started towards the door. "Let's go!"
Sam pushed his hands back into his pockets, nodding some.
"Sounds good to me. What are the chances she's going to do something annoying?" The man followed after Karia, head tilted just a bit.
"Hmm…" Karia tapped his chin, opening the door as he did. "Honestly, I don't know. If she knew it was me, the chances are very high. But if it's you, just a random stranger, it depends entirely on how you act." He held the door open for Sam and headed towards the exit.
"Ah… any tips on how to get her to be?" Sam chuckled to himself, following out of the apartment to the exit.
"I must admit, I look forward to adding her to my collection."
"Probably just insult her. 'Accidentally' run into her, and then just…" Karia shrugged. "She'll probably get mad at you for daring to touch her, so just go with it." He laughed. "I'm looking forward to not having to deal with her anymore, that's for sure."
"Damn, if she's like that I can see why. I mean, yeah, I'd technically do the same thing most times, but I know better than let it out all the time. Even I know I can't attack everyone who mildly inconveniences me." Sam shook his head some, looking at Karia.
"A good thing too, with you."
"Mmm." Karia nodded empathetically. Hopefully, Harina would be where she normally was, or this would be a really awkward, useless walk. "Oh, yes, that is good. I wouldn't have gotten a fun new roommate, otherwise." Karia pouted.
"You would have had to deal with a lot more than that if it had been the case." There wasn't much change in his tone, but he did smirk just a bit in an almost teasing manner.
"Hmm, you're right about that." Karia laughed, shaking his head slightly. "But who wants to think about that? We're best friends now, and Harina is going to take that fate anyway." He shrugged, delighted that Sam had just smirked at him.
"Best friends? That was fast." Just like how Sam was warming up to Karia. He didn't really… talk to people, or show his emotions. But he was quick as a whip and just as sharp, too. He was also a sassy little fucker, but he didn't really let that out much.
"Mm… indeed, and if you ever want you've got free range for messing with her."
"Heh, I guess. I have a good feeling about you, though." Karia shrugged. He was usually quick at making friends, though his definition of friends might have been a little less serious than other people's. Still, he really did like Sam. "Ha, thanks." Karia gave Sam a grin, then glanced up. They were almost there.
"If you say so." Sam held back a chuckle, smiling some again. He looked around, hands in his pocket and hand tightening on the hilt of the dagger.
"Oh, I do." Karia nodded, checking where they were and taking a sudden turn into a sort of courtyard. It was full of people who seemed to be simply wandering around aimlessly. He glanced around, spotting someone who looked a lot like Harina on the second-floor balcony. The person moved into his full view, proving them to indeed be Harina. "Ah, there she is." Karia grinned and started walking towards the stairs. Most people there were giving him a slightly confused look, but he paid them no mind.
Sam glanced around once when they came to the courtyard, mostly noting where everyone else was located. There would be a lot of witnesses… ah well. He ignored the confused looks as well, walking just behind Karia. He was focused on Harina now.
Karia headed up the stairs, which were blissfully empty of random people. The upper floor was way less crowded than the courtyard below, probably because that was where Harina was. She was giving anyone who came close a death glare– typical– so it was easy to head near her. Karia was just planning on walking past her so Sam would have the opportunity to 'accidentally' bump into her, but things didn't go to plan. Harina gave both of them a once over as Karia approached her, and as he was about to walk past, her hand darted out and grabbed Karia's arm.
"Who are you people? I don't know you," She hissed, giving both of them a hard glare.
Sam still had his hand around his knife hilt, tucked securely in his pocket. He didn't like it when things didn't go properly, but he could still work with this. He glared right back, not backing off.
"Doesn't much matter, now does it?"
"It does matter. You see, this is my territory. Everyone here is with me. One word and they would be on you before you can say a word." Harina tightened her grip on Karia's arm, who resisted the urge to smack her in the face. "What are you doing here?" Harina continued, looking from Karia to Sam.
"You say everyone here is with you, but it looks to me like everyone here is avoiding you," Karia snickered, ignoring her question.
Sam rolled his eyes, chuckling darkly at the joke.
"Besides, you thinking something like that would worry me is laughable. I've been to too many places to give a shit about who laid claim to the territories. Now, I'd suggest letting go of my friend's arm, little missy." Sam stepped forward, very close now.
Harina stared at Sam. She didn't say it out loud, but Karia could tell she was thinking 'the audacity!' in terms of Sam. "Alright." Harina shook her head, eyes practically glowing with rage. Karia's arm was probably losing most of its circulation at this point, but her expression more than made up for it. "You get the honor of being dealt with by me." Karia couldn't resist the urge to laugh. "Do you really want him back? I think he's a little crazy." In Karia's opinion, Harina was stalling until someone realized that she was getting confronted– once again, typical of her. Always getting mad but not able to fulfill her threats.
Sam laughed, right in Harina's face.
"You? Deal with me?" The man was keeping his voice low, so no one could see just what was happening yet.
"You're lucky you look good, or I'd just kill you know. Too bad you're such a bitch, though." Sam was growing tired of this dance with Harina. So, in a moment, he'd drawn his knife, moving to stab it into her stomach.
