"Well then, this will be quite fun indeed," Sam didn't pull back, meeting Karia's gaze.
"But could you handle my methods, hm~? Youd be the one getting kidnapped after all." Something dark fell into Sam's words, a promise of adventure and thrills at the price of a life of freedom.
"Hmm… Surely you could go a little easier on me since we're such good friends?" Karia asked, tilting his head slightly. He didn't back down, a small smile hovering on his lips.
"Mm…" Sam considered for a moment, his lips curling up into their smirk.
"Perhaps~. We'll see when the time comes." Sam laughed very softly, not pulling away still. He would be the last to admit it, but he liked Karia. He liked his spunk, their willingness to do all of this with as much enjoyment as Sam.
"Fair enough. But I hope you'll think about me a little, at least." Karia laughed. "I would hate to have to fight you." He glanced up at the ceiling, then back at Sam.
"I would too," Sam admitted. He let his smirk turn to a smile, letting out a small hum.
"Perhaps it would be nice to have a human companion for once. I hope you won't mind getting stolen away."
"Oh, it would be. I wouldn't mind at all, my dear Sam." Karia gave Sam a warm smile. "You can steal me away whenever you want."
"Mm… I'm going to hold you to that, dear Karia," Sam said, smiling back. He was still right there by Karia, letting out a small hum.
"Though, we still have much to do before that! Many, many more to collect~"
"I hope that you do." Karia laughed lightly and placed a hand on Sam's shoulder. "Hmm, indeed we do. How delightful to be able to get your goals accomplished with someone as fun as you!" He patted Sam's shoulder, grinning brightly the while while.
Sam chuckled some as Karia moved his hand onto his shoulder, nodding.
"Indeed! I must say, it has been an absolute joy working with you thus far. The man looked over, his smile sweet as he spoke. This was the most he had smiled in a long time, let alone around someone else. It was nice, really.
"The same to you." Karia grinned, delighting in Sam's smile. It really was beautiful, and Karia felt lucky it was aimed at him. What had he done to be able to be blessed with such a fierce and perfect friend? Here was someone just as crazy as he was who also seemed to like him. It was the best.
Sam let out a soft breath, soon finding himself laying on his back and looking up at Karia.
"You are a strange one, did you know that? I don't think I've ever smiled this much. Ever." The man chuckled some, looking to the ceiling then.
"People do tell me that a lot. But it's usually a negative thing. I like it when you say it much better." Karia sighed happily. "Oh, I'm glad I could help! Smiling really is a lovely thing. And it looks so very good on you."
"Ah, you think it does?" Sam looked over once more, smirking some. "Well, then, I'll try to do it more, then." Sam sat up, moving closer to Karia.
"And you are a strange one, same as me. I never thought I'd meet someone who would do these things with me~"
"Well, of course. You have such a beautiful face, any expression would look amazing on it." Karia reached out as if to touch Sam's face, fingers stopping a hair's breathe from the man's skin. "Mmm, I am indeed a lucky man to have bumped into you." He tilted his head, a soft smile on his lips.
"Quite literally." Sam laughed softly at the memory. He would admit, he was quite glad he didn't stab Karia then and there. He moved his own hand up, pulling Karia's to rest on his cheek.
"Ha, indeed." Karia laughed as well, recalling their first meeting. It hadn't been all good, but it had led to this. This was good. He hadn't known he wanted a literal partner in crime, but now that he was getting the taste of one, he rather liked it. Karia gently ran his thumb across Sam's face, relishing in the simple, sweet moment.
Sam leaned into Karia's hand, eyes fluttering some as the touch of the other's thumb. It had been a long, long time since he had been touched like this, and it felt… good. He could get used to this, for sure. Sam felt himself giving a soft smile, leaning forward some.
"Enjoying yourself?" he asked softly, his hand still holding Karia's to him.
"Hmm… of course." Karia smiled warmly at Sam, running his thumb down his face again. "And I'm guessing you are too, from that lovely smile of yours." He tilted his head slightly, eyes fixed on Sam's.
"Mm… yes, I am," Sam said. He leaned into the touch a bit more, moving closer to Karia. "Damn, I forgot how good it was to actually let people touch me…" He chuckled some, letting his eyes close. He had no intention of moving away any time soon.
Karia hummed, reaching up with his other hand, and gently brushed his fingers through Sam's hair. He trailed his fingers down his face until he was cupping his face with both hands.
Sam continued to smile sweetly as Karia touched him so gently. Soon enough, he found himself leaning into Karia's hands as his face was cupped, melting some and soon finding himself relying on Karia's hands and chest for support.
"Mmm… I swear I'm not always like this…" He was the big bad guy, right? The one everyone feared?
Karia laughed softly, moving one hand to the back of Sam's neck. "Well, what's wrong with it? I rather like it." He looked at Sam gently, gently running his thumb up and down the man's cheek.
"Mm… I'm supposed to strike terror in… people…" Sam leaned into the rubbing and the hand at his neck, melting some into Karia's gentle touches. "Mm…" The man moved to wrap his arms around Karia's waist, pressing closer.
"Well, there's no need to do that all the time. Even the most terrifying people should get days off." Karia continued softly stroking Sam's cheek, a smile still on his face. This was very nice, and he could probably stay like that forever.
"A day off doesn't sound… too bad, I suppose…" Sam wasn't going to be leaving any time soon, very content to lean into Karia and take this affection. He let out a happy hum, tucking his head against Karia's shoulder.
