@MarDeColores this is not it kids
"I'd like to see it happen, then." Karia grinned at him. "Oh, probably." He nodded. He'd completely forgotten why they'd started playing in the first place, which was the ideal thing to happen in his opinion.

Sam stood, setting his cards down.
"No looking, ya hear?" The man laughed some, turning to go back to the kitchen and check on the water.
"Aww, come on!" Karia complained, setting his cards down as well. While he waited, he shuffled his pile of won cards. It wasn't that big, but it gave him something to do.
Sam laughed at Karia's complaining, moving over to the water.
"Okay, it's boiling! Want me to put the noodles in?" The man hummed, grabbing the box and looking over at the door to the living room.
"Oh, yeah!" Karia jumped up and skipped into the kitchen. Sam was definitely capable of adding some noodles into a pot, but Karia still wanted to watch. It was boring just sitting in the living room by himself, anyways.
Sam looked up when Karia came in, smirking a bit as he put the macaroni into the pot.
"I didn't know I needed an audience," he said, chuckling some. He set the lid on the pot, moving over to Karia's side.
"Bored already?"
"Well, you don't. But yeah, I was bored." Karia shrugged, his lips pulling up in a smile. "You're really great at putting noodles in boiling water, you know. Top-notch."
"Ah, really? I never knew." Sam laughed some as Karia complimented his noodle skills.
"Though, we can't go back to the game right now, we need to keep an eye on the food."
"Well, now you do." Karia gave him two thumbs up. "Ah, a shame. But it's an easy game to get back into, so whatever." He waved his hand dismissively, then hopped up onto the counter.
"Right. We could always play while we eat, of course." Sam hummed as he took over the cooking of the meal, not quite sure how they got to that point.
"Exactly!" Karia laughed and nodded. He didn't notice that Sam had become the one cooking, mostly due to the combination of being excited and his general personality.
Sam hummed as he focused on the macaroni, draining the water from it when it was done before adding the milk and cheese packets.
"Could you get something to hold the food?" He asked.
"Like a bowl? A big bowl? Or some small bowls?" Karia asked, hopping off of the counter and starting to crash through the cabinets.
"Small bowls," Sam said. He chuckled some as he watched Karia looking for a bowl, stirring the macaroni to keep it from burning.
"So we can go eat in the living room and play our game."
"Oh, oh, right." Karia backtracked a few steps and flung open another cabinet. He gathered two bowls and danced back over to Sam. "Your bowls." Karia set them both down next to the stove with an exaggerated flourish.
Sam laughed some, dishing out the macaroni evenly.
"Here you go." Sam smiled, grabbing his own bowl to head out to the living room.
"You didn't peak, did you?"
"Thank you!" Karia sang, grabbing the remaining bowl and following Sam out. "Of course I didn't," He said, giving Sam a little pout. "I'm better than that." Karia managed to hold the pout for about two more seconds before he burst out laughing. "Besides, it destroys the whole suspense of the game."
"Mhm… You'd be surprised how many people prefer to cheat." Then again, people were more prone to it when their freedom and lives depended on it. Oh well.
Sam sat down, taking a bite of his food as he picked up his deck.
"Yeah. They just don't know how to have fun." Karia shook his head and sat down as well. He put a big spoonful of mac and cheese into his mouth and picked up his cards as well. "Mmm… yah!" Karia slapped down a card and winced. That wasn't such a good card.
Sam chuckled some around his mouthful of food, flipping out his own card with a bit less gusto. He hummed even though it was lower, conceding the card.
"Mm, looks like Lady Luck's finally back on your side." Sam laughed, picking his bowl up a moment to take another bite.
"Good, good. I hope it will continue!" Karia took both of the cards into his pile and flipped over the next card. "You've done a really good job of mixing together powdered cheese and milk." He laughed and ate another bite.
Sam laughed himself.
"I'm glad you think so. The secret is the milk." He hummed some, flipping over his next card and claiming the round. He'd finished his own food, a silent but quick eater.
"Hmm, I'll have to try that next time." Karia nodded, grinning even though he lost. "It really makes it extra tasty." He hadn't finished but was closing in on the bottom of the bowl. Karia flipped over his next card and gasped. "An ace! Finally!"
"Nice," Sam complimented, flipping out his five. "It's done you good." He laughed some as he set his bowl to the side, legs folding underneath him.
"Oh, are you kidding me? Why couldn't that have been a king?" Karia complained, taking the almost-useless card into his own pile. "Terrible." He sighed and took a big bite of mac and cheese to console himself. "This had better be better." Karia flipped over a card, lips pursed.
