During the entire ordeal, Cleo had stayed in her spot at the top of the stairs. She would never admit it but she had been cowering. The loud voices and the violence had triggered her inner panic and sadistic side enough that all she could do to keep from launching herself into the mayhem was to scratch and scratch at the skin on her arms until lines of red had appeared. The stress had oozed out of her along with her blood.
Now she lay in her bed, completely ignored by the rest of the house. Just as she liked it when she was feeling this way. Cleo smiled gently at herself in the mirror, the picture of a sunny day, but her hand were busy playing with the small knife that she kept hidden in her room. Calm, deadly calm, thoughts sailed through her mind. She noted the time–twelve hours–since her last dose of medication. Des and Crystal would be mad, but her certainly felt more like herself than she had in months.
(Then they'll be friends. Let me yeet him back in)
“No you’re not. Why would you be? Look around. None of us are fine. That isn’t a word in this house. And look at what just happened. I’m not fine and I really don’t think you are either.” Sam wasn’t going to let Silas lie to her about this. He didn’t deserve that. “You don’t have to tell me what’s wrong but you don’t have to be fine.”
(Y'all I gotta go for an hour or so)
No, he wasn't fine, but Sam didn't need to know. "I know, thank you.. You should probably get some sleep. I can tell you're tired." he only guessed that she was tired since he was too, although Silas had no intention of sleeping for a while.
"Okay. I'll leave you alone then." That was fine, Sam would probably want to be alone too. Sam stepped back, hesitating for a fraction of a moment, then walked to the door. "Goodnight Silas," she said, halfway through the doorway.
"I'll be there in a second darling!" Des called out to Crystal before kneeling down by Nathan. They knew how important the notebook was to him, it was the only thing he had come with when he arrived at the home. He had been there the longest, and one time, he had told Des that it was his mothers notebook before it was his.
"Okay kiddo, breathe in one." They murmured to Nathaniel, fingers tapping against the floor. "It's still alright. The cover just got a little burnt. We can tape it up and fix it." Nathan took in one breath, moving his fingers to trace the name on the cover.
Crystal set the soup to simmer and came out, and knelt to Nathaniel. "Are you okay dear? The notebook got a little burnt hm?" She sighed. "It'll be alright. You'll be okay. Just breath. I'm making some soup for dinner alright? If you want to come sit in the kitchen and talk, you can." She smiled softly, and tapped his nose.
(If anyone wants to associate with the emo kids on the food that's alright)
Min-Hyuk got out a think of cigarettes that he's strategically hidden. He flipped the lighter open and lit it, slipping it between his lips and taking a deep breath. Letting all of the stress flow out of his lungs. He looked at the cigarette blowing out a huge puff of smoke from his lungs, making a little ring front on his face, which only lasted a few seconds them disappeared into the dark sky.
"I'm missing a few…" She heads up to the attic, and opens the window. "Your going to get lung cancer doing that! I won't lecture you dears, just letting you know that soup will be ready in a half hour or so. If your going to smoke at LEAST do it out back, away from the fruits and vegetables, so then you don't fall off and get hurt. Now come down here, I want to spend family time with all of you. At least get a highfive and you missed me!" She then disappeared back down to the kitchen to stir it, smiling softly. "Ohhh loooooove~" She purred.
He turned around and sighed, almost happy that Crystal was back. He turned back around, burning the cigarette on his arm and pulling the sleeve of his sweater down and heading inside.
She smiled as he came down, went over, and gave him a hug. "I hate it that you kids smoke so much. Thank you for putting it away." She smiled and went back to her cooking. "Set the table would you dear?"
He sighed and began to set the table. 나는 담배를 많이 피지 않는다 he says to her as he got the silverware and the plates out.
"You shouldn't smoke at all. There are better ways to deal with stress. Thank you. What do you think of cherry pie for dessert hm?"
"나는 그것을 먹지 않을 것이다." He says setting the silverware beside the glass plates. 하지만 괜찮아 he shrugged.
Nathaniel wasn't speaking at the moment, which was better than him yelling, I suppose. Blake came out of his room for dinner, going to sit next to Nathan on the floor. "Grote broer." He hummed, laying a hand on the other's arm. They weren't actually siblings, but the two had been there the longest, and when it was the busier time, they shared a room.
Crystal smiled at Nathaniel and ruffled his hair. "I've brought you a little present dear. Just you wait." She grinned, and set the soup to simmer. "Now then. Let it sit, and it will be ready soon. And then, how about…icecream hm? That sound alright with everyone for desert?" She said. Now, she didn't have favorites, but there were ones she got along with better. Soon enough the food was done and she went knocking on doors, with all her darlings and dears, telling them food was ready. But when she found her husband she grabbed their face and kissed them deeply. "I've missed you Love." She said with a wide grin.

Nathan nodded and Blake smiled. "He says thank you." He told the other quietly, leaning his head on the others shoulder. Des was cleaning up some dirt from the carpet with the vacuum before dinner when Crystal found them. "Hello dear." They hummed. "I'm so sorry you had to come home to meltdowns."
"Hey, it's what I expect in this crazy house. I would have been more worried if I walked in on peace and quiet." She said with a laugh, hugging Des close. "I really did miss all of them though, even Shade. Though he should be just a little bit nicer to me. I'd ground him but what difference would it make? He'll just run off or switch persona's and then it would do no good." She huffed and sat on the couch. "But, I guess that's what makes all of them so amazing and special. Their fight. All of our wonderful little warriors." She smiled as she leaned her head back and stared up at the ceiling. "Anyways love dinner is done. I'll clean the house tomorrow, and hopefully I can convince some of the others to help." She smiled and headed off to the kitchen and dished up the soup, patting heads and giving mini lectures as she went along, always motherly and charming. (I love Crystal to no end.)
Sam heard Crystal coming and slipped back into Silas’s room, closing the door behind her. Crystal knocked but she ignored it. She stared at the ground, waiting. As soon as Crystal was back downstairs Sam looked up. “Sorry. Thank you. Goodnight.” She slipped out of his room and silently ran to her own. This had been a long day and she just needed to go to bed. She flopped down on her bed and fell asleep almost immediately.
(Bump? Where do we go from here? School?)
