"Well Silas cares." She replied, shrugging too. "Oh well."
Gardenia closed her eyes, allowing Silas to take back control. Once again, the only indication anyone would have was from the deep breath he then took as he opened his eyes again.
Thank you for doing the homework, I really appreciate it.
"You know me, I'm always happy to do your work for you." Gardenia's laugh echoed in Silas' mind as she left the conversation. He put his arms on the desk, resting his head on top of them. So tired…
“Well . . . he shouldn’t.” Why should he? Sam got hurt all the time anyway. It had never mattered to anyone except a coach before Silas. She noticed Silas’s head on the desk and decided to leave the subject be. No use talking about it anyway.
If Sam had said anything, it didn't reach Silas' ears. No sooner had his head touched his arms, his eyes were closed and he was asleep.
He had woken up so much during the night that he couldn't help but fall asleep. There had once been the talk of putting him on medication to help him sleep, but every part of his being refused to take pills. The only way he would take pills is if he did it unknowingly…
Home room went by quickly but to Sam it felt like an eternity. Which meant her mind had time to wander. She turned her head to look at Silas’s sleeping form, then quickly turned back around. She hadn’t really noticed his jawline or his cheekbones when they first met. Or ever really until now. Did she like him? Well she liked spending time with him. He was the only person that she knew that could make her laugh, but that wasn’t exactly saying much. Her life wasn’t exactly sunshine and rainbows. But still . . . she had met plenty of people that she liked to be around. But none of them were like Silas.
Before she knew it the bell had rung and people around her were getting up to go to class. She got up and shook Silas’s body. “Hey wake up. Class is over.”
No dreams appeared to Silas as he slept, which wasn't something to complain about. His dreams never had been pleasant.
As Sam shook his body, his eyes began to flutter. At first he forgot where he was, but the clattering of feet and loud chunnering of kids reminded him of where he didn't want to be. Slowly rising from the desk, Silas rubbed an eye with a yawn. "What lesson do we have?" his voice was a lot deeper than it had been on the bus, and it cracked a couple of times. I need to sort my sleep out..
For a brief millisecond of a moment something fluttered in the space between Sam’s chest and her stomach. His voice. Then as soon as the feeling had come, it passed. “Well I have english, but you have whatever your science class is. Do you know where the room is? I can walk you to class.”
"Chem with me." Cleo said sliding up to Sam's side. She leaned close to Sam's ear before speaking again. "Does he need help today?" She wasn't sure if Silas knew that she was aware of his splits, but Cleo figured it didn't really matter anymore. She had long known, but respected his choice to keep it secret. Cleo was often mistaken for unintelligent and unobservant because of her looks and usual sunny personality, but she had figured out early on that people tend to underestimate those they saw as meek and innocent. Nothing like eventually proving them wrong.
Not that she thought Sam and Silas were among those that thought her ditsy, but nevertheless she hadn't really opened up to them. Making friends was hard for her. Cleo had extended an olive branch just now and she hoped that they took it.
"No, thank you." Silas smiled to both of them, a smile that reached his eyes for once. "Gardenia was only there to complete my biology homework, school was freaking her out anyways." He grabbed his bag off the floor and slung it over his shoulder, running his hand through his hair to shake it out. "I'll see you in a bit Sammy, you know I have my phone if you need anything." he gave a knowing look to Cleo before heading towards the door.
Being in the office took longer than Ellie had been expecting, and the directions hadn't been very clear so she ended up missing her homeroom… not that important since the only people who knew her were the kids from the foster house. She wandered around a bit, trying to find where her English class was located. She had the room number and the name of the teacher but the layout of a new school was always confusing.
Min-Hyuk had, yes, skipped all of his classes so far. Now he was in the back if the school in a tree that he climbed a few hours ago. He actually just woke up from a nap. He sat up and blew his hair out of his face and looked around. He lost his balance and almost fell, but didn't. He looked up to the sky with a blank expression. Not really knowing what to feel. All he knew was, he was going to most likely skip the rest of the day.
(Crystal lectures Min the most and are strangely close because of it. She cares so much about y'all, you guys are gonna break her)
(XD Min-Hyuks the Lil emo rebel kid who honestly just wants attention and love. Though he never would admit that.)
(Crystal and him go on secret icecream dates and are super close when alone. Anyways I'm not sleeping tonight so don't forget about our other rp!)
All Sam could do was watch him go. “Okay,” she called out. Something tugged at the corners of her lips. She quickly realized what she was doing and scowled, annoyed at herself. She couldn’t be smiling at a boy. Not that it was like that. Silas was technically a boy, but it wasn’t like that. ‘God.‘ She shouldered her backpack and went to English class. This wasn’t important right now.
Cleo shrugged, gently poking Sam once more in goodbye. "Ciao, chicka." Was called over her shoulder as she sailed out of the room after Silas. Catching up to him was easy, as the hallway was packed with rowdy teens. Cleo glanced up at her–friend? damn who knew…?–wanting to say something about Sam, but she settled on a casual, yet meaningful look.
(Sorry for vanishing for a bit y'all, something came up.)
Nathan was sitting in the library, doing his classes as Blake went to sit next to him. "I have art, but the teacher let me come in here. You alright?" Blake asked the quiet male. "That is an objective question. I am in perfect health and I will not be answering for my emotional state." Nathaniel replied, not looking up from his screen. Blake just sighed, at least he was actually answering this time.
"What's that look for?" Silas asked after a moment of trying to figure out on his own why Cleo was looking at him like that. "Are you wanting to copy my other homeworks as well?" As they neared the classroom, Silas spotted a group of kids he had a particularly strong disliking for, purely because he knew they talked smack about Cleo behind her back. He could understand why the girls did it, because they were obviously jealous, but he could never understand why the guys did it—what would they be jealous of? Silas quickly leaned down to the girl's ear and whispered. "Okay, laugh in a cutesy way if you think those kids over there are worth getting rid of. Smile the biggest and brightest smile you can if any of them have ever said or done anything hurtful to you."
Cleo had been about to answer Silas' question, she could even feel the beginnings of a shit-eating grin crossing her lips as she prepared to tease the ever living hell out of him, but his statement derailed her. Casually–and still wearing that odd mirthless smile she had been all day–she let her gaze slide over the group that Silas had referred to.
Damn–Darrin and Friends–the usual popular assholes. Cleo sighed delicately through her pert nose, prepared to walk right by them without giving them the time of day. God knew what kind of sexual innuendos they were going to 'whisper' at her back today. Her left eye twitched slightly as a number of violent images went through her mind–the blood–the screams–the knife tucked in a secret part of her bag–
Returning her gaze to a concerned Silas, a small part of her was thankful he was here. At least she wouldn't be alone today. Registering what he said, Cleo's entire face brightened into a glorious smile, one that would have knocked the soul out of the very planet. She truly looked angelic as she released an adorable chuckle to go along with it, despite being full to the brim with demons. Cleo hoped it was answer enough for the boy beside her.
(I don’t really have anything to say rn so bump?)
(i've been busy, any way for Crystal to step in?)
(Uhhhhh I mean everything is happening at school rn so I don't think so)
(Min-Hyuk is just skipping class and probably smoking out in a tree. So he can't really do anything right now unless someone talks to him)
(I'm in the process of writing a response, sorry it's taking so long)
(Someone can go fuck with Blake or Nathan, both are up for grabs.)
(Nah man. Min frikin hates Nathan) XD)
