(This brings me so much joy)
Calian huffs at Resh as he passes them. What the fuck-
The wolf stares at the two of them before running to catch up to Resh. The two of them reach the center of the temple first, and Calian a bit after.
In front of them the floor suddenly dips down into a few rows of carved rock surrounding a large statue of the same two Elders from outside locked in a fight, frozen in time. The statue was visible from when they entered the temple, but now it could be seen fully. Their weapons, or rather the things they were using as weapons, were crossed to make an “X” image.
(eheheh)
Once Resh reaches the center of the temple, he turns around and huffs at Calian, a triumphant smirk on his face. He looks at the wolf and pats her a few times, then turns back around to face the statue as the others catch up.
Calian rolls their eyes at Resh. “You know, the more I’m around you the more I begin to think you’re a krill or something.” But seeing as they’re not from here, I can’t even guess what they are. They glance around the temple curiously. They never came to this one often.
Resh narrows his eyes as he processes Calian’s comment, visibly confused. How am I- He shakes his head, then stares at the statues for a little longer. “Alright, who wants to talk to them?”
Calian’s gaze returns to Resh, looking at him confused. “You know multiple people can talk to them, right? I mean if they want to talk to you-“ Stop talking so much- They clear their throat and look down at the rows of seating surrounding the statue.
(They’re both jus like “??? ?”)
(“What are you talking about” “what are YOU talking about-“)
Resh tilts his head at Calian. “…Oh. I did not know that.” He awkwardly glances at the others, then back at Calian.
Calian looks back at Resh and the others with a little bit of a smile. “Well uh- anyone who wants to I guess.” They gesture down to the seating and then descend into the circle themselves.
(mentally prepares myself to act these idiots)
(Ehehe)
Resh stares at the others for a bit, then shrugs and follows Calian. Teth and Tsadi both look at each other, and Teth shakes her head slightly. Both of them would rather stay behind. Same with Daphne.
(Not me just giving myself to only narrate one person even tho I already pretty much do that)
(Kinda wanted teth to yell at them /j)
(Anyway let’s go idiot time-)
(Eh, I had a bit of a plan for anyone who decided to stay behind anyway.)
Calian sits down on the bottom row, kneeling down on their knees in the same fashion Resh did when he contacted the Forest Elder. They took a deep breath and closed their eyes, saying a little sentence in Manta.
The wolf stared at the two of them for a moment before walking off and examining random bits of the temple.
(Hint: how would the manta soldiers know to follow them to wasteland hmmmm)
Resh hesitates for a bit, then sits down near Calian, taking a deep breath before closing his eyes as well.
Daphne watches the wolf walk around, her wings twitching slightly. She seems a little restless.
(If you have a disagreement with this plan you can Say Something)
(is it)
(If it helps you won’t have to deal with the soldiers arriving for a little bit so only Resh narration for now)
The two of them are transported to a starlit coliseum similar to the one they were just in. However, they were sitting in the center of this coliseum, which was significantly different from the other one. It was a wide circular stone platform that connected to two different sets of stairs with a raised platform between them. Behind that was a pathway that lead to another temple building, but its doors were closed.
If one of them were to look over the edge of the platform they were on, they would realize the endless abyss that the platform and path were in the middle of.
Calian stands up and looks around at the coliseum with a bit of a gleam in their eye. But they also seem to be searching for something. Or rather, someone. There was no one else here but the two of them… yet.
Resh opens his eyes and glances to each side, then slowly stands up, surveying his surroundings. It’s pretty empty in here… He looks over at Calian. Maybe they just take a little longer to show up.
(It’s called dramatic entrance)
Slowly, the temple doors open. From where they’re standing, whatever came through them isn’t visible yet. But there are footsteps heard, ones that progressively got closer. And something else that was heard was… talking? Or bickering, given the tone.
