Met finished with the salad and started eating it politely, as Neo scarfed it down like he'd never eaten before.
"Goodness," Met said over a mouthful of leaves, "you've never been this ravenous before."
Met finished with the salad and started eating it politely, as Neo scarfed it down like he'd never eaten before.
"Goodness," Met said over a mouthful of leaves, "you've never been this ravenous before."
Erro chuckled as he watched Amun prance around, little tail wagging cutely as he bounced around before flopping onto his back, causing Erro to start giggling
Neo grunted and looked up. "I'm hungry. You know I eat a lot."
"Like a pack of wolves in the winter," Met observed with a fine eyebrow raised. "Right. Anyway, don't eat too much. The ham's still in the oven."
Eventually, Erro finished the popcorn, and was now cuddling Amun while they watched the movie. The dragon would occasionally poke or nuzzle the boy, getting comfy
Neo immediately stopped with the crunching, rubbing his hands together. "Mmmm… ham. I hope you made that special coating that you soak the meat in."
"Of course I did," Met assured, wiping off his mouth neatly before standing and washing his hands. "Why wouldn't I?"
Erro yawned, stretching out before eventually picking up his phone, poking at it as he began answering a few different messages from friends. He really only had three, all of which lived relatively close, so he could still reasonably go hang out with them
Neo chuckled and drummed his fingers excitedly on the table. "I don't know, but it's fucking amazing. You need to like, enter a cooking show."
"No cooking show would accept a Mind Reader like me, Neo," Met said softly as he pulled out the ham with oven mits.
Erro eventually called one of said friends, smiling a bit dorkily when the other picked up. "Hello? Erro?" the boy asked.
"Hey, Kadachi. What's up?" he asked, eventually setting the phone on speaker and facetime when Amun began whining to get to see Kadachi. The other boy, a dark-skinned kid with decorative silver horns tucked into his hair smiled at the dragon, which began practically losing his mind when he saw the other
Neo watched the ham get set down on the oven with a glimmering black coat on it. It seemed most unappetizing, but once one were to get a taste of it, it would be the best thing to ever put in your mouth.
Met chuckled at his twin and cut into the ham, closing the oven door.
"Just figured it would be nice to say hello. And hello, Amun," Kadachi said, grinning as he watched the dragon try to lick the screen in hopes it would somehow allow him to get to the other boy. Erro chuckled, pulling the pup back and setting him on his lap
He served the ham on a large plate, setting it down with a large cutting knife and a fork.
"There you are. Try not to eat it all, I'd like to have leftovers to work."
"Oooooh you're so important you can't leave work, huh?" Neo poked fun at his twin, spearing a piece of ham.
"Nice to see you too," Erro chuckled, cuddling Amun in his lap to keep him from running and licking his phone.
"It's certainly been a while since we've last spoken. How was your trip? Do you have a roommate?" Kadachi asked, after which Erro deflated a little.
"I…I have a roommate, yeah. We haven't gotten along at all since I've gotten here. I freaked a little when I first saw him and he took it the wrong way and still hates me," Erro said with a small, dejected shrug
Met sat down with a little eye roll, and even then Neo had practically shoved the entire piece of ham into his mouth.
"It's called chewing, Neo," Met said as he carefully took a piece for himself.
"Well, you'll figure it out, you always do. You're our strategist, remember?" Kadachi said, smiling warmly at Erro in a way that made the poor boy's heart flutter. He quickly held Amun to his chest, hiding his face with the dragon who had begun circling his limbs cutely.
"Yeah, I know. I think he's a mind reader too, but he got all pissed when I asked. So I don't know why he can't just…read my mind to tell that I'm trying my best," he mumbled
Neo rolled his eyes and swallowed heavily. "Yeah, whatever. Thanks for cooking and letting me come by."
Met grunted and nodded, sitting up and back. "You're welcome. Why did you want to come by, anyway? Something about a roommate?"
Neo sighed over a cup. "Yeah. A guy named Erro strutted up to my dorm and just walked the fuck in. And doesn't expect me to get upset."
"Maybe there are limitations to his abilities. Maybe he's only seen when you've been upset, or when your thoughts have been the loudest," Kadachi tried to reason softly. Erro just huffed, hiding further behind Amun.
"He's coming back today, I think. Though all my classes are in the early morning so I guess if he comes back late I can just hide."
Met sighed softly over a cup of blue shimmery wine, rolling his eyes over it. "Right. And he thought something that upset you."
"Yes! He called me a stripper," Neo complained, blowing his cheeks out. "I just enjoy having little clothes on, and it was hot! I had a reason!"
"No, don't hide. Then you'll never get along. Did you apologize for making him think something on accident?" Kadachi asked, after which Erro nodded.
"It didn't work, he just got pissed again. And the worst part is the asshole is attractive, and god knows what might happen if I out myself so soon. Not that it would really matter considering the guy was wearing more or less the shorts equivalent of underwear," Erro huffed
Met sighed softly. "You can stay until tomorrow, like you wanted, but I don't want you calling me every time the poor man thinks something about you. Just enjoy the company."
"I won't enjoy the company if he's being so rrggggh…"
Kadachi couldn't help but start busting up laughing at that, Erro making a noise of indignation. "Not funny, that's not fair! You didn't have to walk in to a face full of ass on your first day!" Erro exclaimed indignantly, which only made Kadachi laugh harder
(Face full of ass xDD)
Met chuckled and leaned back in his seat, swirling the wine in the cup delicately. It shimmered a gold color instead of the blue.
"So he upset you. And instead of confronting him, you're just going to wallow in anger?"
(lmaooo)
"I'm serious, it's not funny! And he got all pissed at me because I freaked out!" Erro exclaimed, face red with embarrassment as he hid behind Amun again.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I–A face full of ass? Are you serious? Are you ass height with him, or are you just being a dumbass?" Kadachi laughed
"We-yess, I guess," Neo mumbled, huffing over a bit of ham. "I can't just forgive someone like that. He didn't even apologize for the right thing. I gave him food and everything and he just… ugh. Didn't even thank me."
"Do you think you're overreacting? Just a little?"
"Oh my god, 'Dachi," Erro groaned, burying his face in his hands with a small whine. "Not fair, you can't just do that to me. I'm not that short. Besides, I might as well just stay away from him. Kept trying to apologize and he just blew me off. It wasn't fair," he muttered
Neo huffed across the table at Met, who looked smugly calm as he sipped at his drink.
"No! I am not overreacting. You'd be upset too if someone slammed into your home and saw you in a towel after a shower!"
(Idea: we make that happen with another character for ~two stories in one!~)
