Dominic smiled slightly and hugged him back, "I uhm, I. . ." He sighed a little happily, "Matthew, I uhm, should I go, uhm let you be?"
Dominic smiled slightly and hugged him back, "I uhm, I. . ." He sighed a little happily, "Matthew, I uhm, should I go, uhm let you be?"
Matthew looked at Dominic a moment.
"You don't have to!" He assured. "Really, I don't mind you being here. It's… It's really nice."
"Thank you?" He mumbled looking up at him, "B-but don't you have stuff to do? I mean, I don't want to be a problem or anything."
Matthew shook his head a bit.
"No, no, it's all perfectly fine! I promise, you won't be a problem." Matthew offered a sweet smile, arms still around Dominic.
Dominic sighed and awkwardly glanced up at him. He smiled up at him, sort of enjoying the hug and how sweet it was. No one really paid that much attention to him, well he wasn't the most interesting person, so i made sense as to why people didn't notice him. But seeing someone care made him happy.
Matthew grinned, giving one last hug before pulling away.
"Do you want something to eat?" He asked, still grinning.
"I, uhm, yes. That would be great actually, but, you don't have to if you don't want too. I don't mind at all. I mean I can take care of myself or something, I don't mind at all." He was being awkward as usual, he was sort of weird about this sort of stuff.
"Nonsense!" Matthew grabbed Dominic s hand, leading him over to the kitchen. "I would love to make something for you!" He smiled brightly at Dominic.
"Okay, okay," he mumbled as he followed along. He stole one last glance back out the window looking at thefkying people with awe. "Does everyone, I mean the people like you, I mean, do your people have a name, o that sound rude. Well, uhm does everyone around here fly?"
Matthew chuckled a bit.
"We're avians. And everyone here in this village is one. We all fly." Matthew smiled at Dominic, starting to cook something for him.
" Oh, that ust be nice, are there, uhm people like uhm, without wings, or uhm, other things? I mean, I was just curious, since I mean, I must look funny to you, I don't have wings, or the height or anything, so uhm.. . ." He shrugged.
"Well, there are the centaurs, and the mermaids, and the dryads. And a lot more. But I've never seen anyone like you…" Matthew offered Dominic a plate of food. It looked like lamb and plum sauce, some of his leftovers.
"Sorry it's not much…"
"Oh, that must be nice, we don't have anything like that, so it must be interesting, and fun. " He took a bite of the food and smiled, " My gods, this tastes amazing. Thank you so much."
Matthew was a bit surprised.
"Nothing like us at all?" It was impossible for him to grasp. "And, you're welcome!"
"No, everyone, well excpet for some of the animals, look like me. Well, not like me, I'm sure you get that, but none of us have wings or tails or anything like that. And if anyone is born with some sort of thing like that no one really knows." He said with a shrug, "Although a lot of people believe that people like that exist in ourworld, but are just hiding." He took a few more bites, utterly enjoying the food, "This, goodness, I love it."
"Oh. They're probably thinking of those that prefer to travel between worlds." Matthew sat down, motioning to the chair for Dominic to sit down.
"I'm glad you enjoy it! I made it myself."
"What do you mean travel between worlds? Do you mean that you can travel between different universes and dimensions? That's interesting." He said with a nod, "We have been trying to harness the capabilities to do something like that, but normally when done a black hole or something is created." He shrugged as if it was nothing, "But you know, it might take a little longer, but we'll get there." He sat down across from matthew, and quickly finished eating, "Wowwww, not even takeout can do this good."
"Oh yeah, people in the big cities love to do it." Matthew smiled a bit.
"Good! I cool like this all the time. Would you be okay with me coming for you?" He smiled brightly.
"Cooking? For me?" He sighed a little bit, honestly really surprised of the other man's kindness, "I-I really apreciatte all that you are doing, you know with trying to help me, but, you don't have too. I mean, I'd enjoy the cooking, but you're doing so much for me already. You don't need to take care of me more."
"I would love to cook for you though!" Matthew objected. "Really, it means so much to me that you like my cooking." Matthew reached over, placing his hand on Dominic's.
Dominic looked down at the Matthew's hand, and just was a little stunned, he was okay with hugs from the other guy, that'd be fine, right? But hands, he didn't mind, but he wasn't used to it, well, he -never mind-. He looked up at Matthew, "A-all right then, if it makes you happy. But I can take care of myself, now uhm, may I have the password for the Wi-fi? I need to at least see if I can contact someone from my world."
"Wifi?" Matthew tilted his head. "What's that?" He had no idea what it was. He left his hand on Dominic's, wings fluttering out a bit.
"It's nothing important, I mean, not really." He said with a shrug, "I just . . ." He studied Matthew's wings, "Can't believe that you exist, like at all."
"Well… I must admit, I feel the same way." Matthew smiled, still sitting close to Dominic. He chuckled softly.
"But, hasn't someone ever been born without wings? I'm sure that there has." He sighed softly, "It's just, just interesting. The part of my brain that pays attention to science and stuff just is so confused. But I'm sure you feel the same way. It's just weird."
