Matthew smiled a bit.
"Fluff is really sweet too, even if he doesn't like a lot of people." Fluff pushed into Dominic's hand, purring.
Matthew smiled a bit.
"Fluff is really sweet too, even if he doesn't like a lot of people." Fluff pushed into Dominic's hand, purring.
Dominic chuckled, "As it is with most felines, at least where I'm from." He said with a sad smile, as he gently pet the cat. "He does seem sweet, and very well cared for. He must really love you."
Matthew nodded.
"Yes. Unless it's the dead of night and he decides to jump on my back and pull a bit on my feathers." Matthew laughed lightly, kissing Fluff's head.
He shook his head in disbelief, "He really does that? Gosh, that must startle the wits out of you. At least it would with me." he said with a laugh, "He seems perfect, even with what you just told me."
"Yes, it's very startling. And he's perfect, is true." Matthew smiled, and Fluff purred again, rubbing into Dominic's chest.
Dominic took a tiny step back away from them. His head was sort of spinning, but then realizing how rude that must have seemed he moved back and quietly pet the cat. He was truly dear and a sweet thing. And that sort of made him long for his home even more. He missed the things that he had missed while he was hiding in his apartment from the world.
Matthew looked at Dominic with concern when he stepped back.
"Is something wrong?" He asked, moving to set Fluff down.
"Nothings wrong." He mumbled, looking away from the cat, "I'm just. . .I don't-never mind me, so you're home is a nest?" He sort of wished that he had one of his notebooks with him. This place was so different and new and something like this well, if he could. He had sort of lost his train of thought when he saw people like Matthew flying past the house, "That's so cool."
Matthew wasn't letting the point drop.
"Yes, it is, but I'm concerned now. Are you truly okay?" He took a small step forward, wings fluffing out a bit.
"I'm as okay as one could be, finding themself in a new dimension or parallel universe surrounded by people who can fly. Which is amazing, and I wish I could do that, but sadly anything that we have built in my universe to do the same that your wings are doing haven't worked yet. But that's beside the point, I'm just a little nervous, and I'm sort of scared as to what is out there, out past your nest, our your village." He stopped to take a breath, "But your company and protection has been oh so helpful, "I truly appreciate it."
Matthew blinked a bit at the stream of information, nodding a bit.
"Of course. Knowing what's it there, you'll need it." Matthew sighed gently.
"But we'll get you back home safely, yeah?"
"I hope so." He mumbled, trying to keep a smile on his face while inside he felt like bawling his eyes out.
Matthew watched Dominic with concern.
"Are you sure you're okay..?" He reached up, gently touching Dominic's cheek.
He began to nod, then shook his head a little bit, "I don't think so." His voice was barely a whisper, "B-but, I'll be okay." Here was his optimism, he didn't want to look on the bright side, he wanted to cry, but he couldn't let himself, not in front a of stranger, who was from a whole other dimension. He figured due to some of the primitive looking homes that his phone would be practically useless, so it was time to come up with another option. Forcing his smile to stay, he looked at Matthew, trying to keep in the slight blush on his cheek from due to the touch, "Due you, know of any uhm, way that I can get home? Or I don't know, find a safe way to travel, so I don't have to bother you?"
When Dominic admitted he want song okay, makes stepped forward, giving him a hug. He listened quietly, nodding a bit.
"There's a way to get you back, but you won't be able to get there on you're own. I really want to help you anyway…"
"You uhm, I mean, uhm, gods." He mumbled, "Or, you know what? I could just stay here? It's a new world and quite peaceful and safe, so different from where I'm from. Nobody would've been this nice to me back there."
Matthew's eyes widened a bit, still holding Dominic in his arms.
"Really?" He asked. He moved back slightly, examining Dominic. "Stay here?"
"W-why not? It's sort of nice, in an eerie sort of way." He said with a slight shrug, "I don't have anything tying me down to my home."
Matthew watched Dominic a moment.
"I see… Will you want your own home?" Matthew still had his arms around Dominic, smiling gently.
"Probably, maybe something a little, just a little closer down to the ground." He said with a playful smile. To him, this was sort of an adventure, he figured that there must be a way to get back home, but he wasn't ready yet, imagine being able to study a whole new world, then maybe bring his findings back to his dimension, he might become a millionaire, that is if he could find a way to travel back and forth.
Matthew nodded.
"I can help build it!" This was exciting to him. He hadn't actually met anyone from another world before, so this was all very new to him too.
"You don't have too, I've already bothered you enough. I'm sure you have work and maybe a family, but definetly your Griffin." He smiled a little bit at him, "I'm sure I could figure it out."
"Nonsense! You haven't bothered me at all. Besides, everyone pitches in when a new house is being built, especially when the person the house if for doesn't know how." Matthew offered a smile.
"Oh, that's nice." He said with a smile, "But no, I'm sure I can do it, I wouldn't want to well, then. . .fine."He said with a sigh, "Great." He felt as though he was being a nuisance to the other man and he felt bad about it. He was used to figuring things out for himself out or doing things for himself, so having other people help him would make him feel slightly uneasy.
Matthew grinned, giving Dominic another giant hug.
"Thank you for letting me," he said. Matthew loved taking care of others, and he smiled brightly.
