"It might still be," Astral said, shrugging one shoulder. "If you're willing to talk over conditions."
"It might still be," Astral said, shrugging one shoulder. "If you're willing to talk over conditions."
“I’m listening.” He said. Of course if he had a chance to improve his situation, he would.
"Oh no," Astral said. "You're to say exactly what you want, and I'll offer limitations until we can agree on something."
“Okay…” he thought for a second. “Here’s my conditions, I’d like my body back and you can’t touch me. That’s it.”
"Alright, then. My conditions are you actually have to try to have a conversation with me, and that if you try to run I get to hunt you down." Astral hummed some, thinking this was fair enough.
“Fine. That works for me.” He replied. Really they were pretty fair conditions.
Don't tell Astral it was actually fair, or he'd change up everything. He nodded once, putting his hand over Emile. In a moment, they were back to his own body, humming.
Emile stretched out his limbs some, having to resist the urge to glare at Astral. He’d be somewhat nice, but it wouldn’t last. After all it hadn’t been one of their conditions.
"Better?" Astral folded his legs again, looking over at the being sat next to him on the couch.
“Yes. Much better.” He replied, relaxing some on the couch, but still very mentally alert and ready to attack Astral if he found it necessary.
"Good. Now do you finally have something to talk about with me?" Astral watched Emile for a moment, hands in his lap.
He sighed softly. “Sure. But what do you even want me to say? We don’t have much to really talk about besides Simon.” He said.
"Well, we could always talk about you," Astral pointed out. "And I don't know much about Simon's past."
“I could always fill in some of those blanks for you if you want. Of Simon’s past I mean.” He knew practically all of it, after all. Plus, he didn’t see any harm that could come from it.
"That would be nice," Astral said, nodding. Maybe it would even help him.
He nodded. “Okay…what do you want to know?” And Emile did know quite a lot, he’d be able to answer any of his questions.
"Well, what was his childhood like?" Astral tilted his head a bit, curious. Simon never really had spoken about it.
“Well…it wasn’t great honestly. His parents abandoned him the day he was born. And he just got bounced from foster home to foster home until he turned 18. He never got adopted. He…was neglected a lot.” He said.
Astral nodded slowly, listening.
"I see…" He shook his head then. "He really did deserve better…"
He nodded in agreement. “It’s where he developed a lot of his issues like his eating disorder.” He explained.
"That would make a lot of sense." Astral sighed again. "There are too many people who've hurt Simon." Including Astral, and the asshole just before him- the one stuck in his work room. Did Emile know about that one even? It would show Astral just now much the being had been watching.
He nodded in agreement, choosing not to point out that Astral had hurt Simon plenty as well. Emile did in fact know about the man Astral had taken. They’d had plans to murder that man as soon as Simon was gone. And while they’d never figured out for certain if Astral had been the one who’d taken him, they just assumed it.
"I'd love to get my hands on the rest of them," Astral said softly, more of a dark tone in his voice. "Unless, of course, they've already had their judgment." Astral glanced at Emile at that.
“They’re all gone.” He replied simply, not hesitating to meet eyes with Astral on that one.
"Good." Astral nodded once, smiling at the thought of them getting their due pain.
