Chuckling, lifted another spoonful of soup to my mouth. “Whatever you say, love.”
(Sure! Not it)
I put a few coins on the table before I stood up. “Come, let’s go,” I held out my hand for Elle to take. “Do you want to walk around?”
“Yes,” I answered happily, slipping my hand into his. “Please.”
I intertwined our fingers together as we exited the restaurant, keeping her close to me. When I noticed men staring at her, I tightened my hold on her.
“Maybe we should behave this time,” I mused. “What do you say?”
“That’s true,” I murmured, shifting uncomfortably beneath the stares I was getting.
I let go of her hand to wrap my arm around her shoulder, face twisting coldly. I was, perhaps, acting too possessive, but this girl was mine. I would rip out eyeballs of those who dared look at her.
“Oh, do you want to check that place out?” I shifted my gaze towards a music store. “You like music, don’t you?”
I nodded quickly, my face lighting up at the sight of the store. “That would be great, actually. Can we? Do you like music?”
“It’s good,” I shrugged, leading her towards the store. “Because of my schedule, I didn’t exactly get enough time to listen to music, but I did occasionally try.”
“I like classical music. Big orchestras,” I began to ramble. “Strings instruments and brass. And woodwinds. I love the music violas and oboes produce, it’s so rich and beautiful. But cellos are nice, too! I’m not a huge fan of trumpets.”
I looked at her in adoration, finding it quite cute when she rambled on like that.
“So basically, those are a must when we reveal your identity,” I mused to myself. “I’ll make sure you’ll have all the music you desire.”
I suddenly shut my mouth, flushing pink when I realized how much I’d been rambling. It took a moment for me to comprehend his question, but once I did, my eyes turned bashfully downward. “You don’t have to do that for me..”
I snorted. “Of course I do,” I told her, smiling softly. “There’s nothing I wouldn’t do to make you comfortable.”
(Is this a record type shop or an instrument store?)
(Up to you, I guess. Whichever Elle prefers.)
The musty smell of the records shop hit me full in the face the moment we entered. I smiled at the memories that rose to mine of the very similar ship near my house. “The feeling is mutual, love..”
“I’m glad it is,” I sent her a grin, one that was only reserved for her. I looked around the room, records meeting my eyes. “Well, look around.”
Blushing lightly, I turned in a slow circle, scanning the labels on each shelf.
"This way!"
I followed after her, reaching out for her hand.
“Which music do you like, Elle?” I questioned her.
"Mozart, Shubert, Tchaikovsky," I began to list, grinning widely as I ran a hand along one shelf. "Bach is nice, too. Tchaikovsky's my favourite, though. I like Symphony No. 5, have you heard it?"
I looked at her as if I’d never seen her before. “I… have heard of neither of those,” I finally answered. “I have, however, heard of Tchaikovsky, but not much.”
I blinked up at him.
"You don't know Mozart? Or Bach? Or Shubert?"
I shook my head, rubbing the back of my head.
“I have not,” I replied. “But I suppose you’ll teach me, right?”
“Mozart?” I blinked incredulously. “The most famous classical composer?? Of course I'll teach you!”
