(we passed page 100!)
My smile turned into a smirk as I leaned in again. Our mouths were just barely touching now, and he still had me pressed against the tree…
"What if I did this?"
(Yess!!!)
I pressed my lips to hers urgently before I pulled away, staring at her in a daze, eyes narrowing.
“Then I would do that,” I breathed out, but my words didn’t waver. I pulled away and smiled wickedly. “You’ve been out of shape, my love. Perhaps ten laps would do.”
(woo hoo!)
"Or, perhaps," I murmured, a teasing glint entering my eyes, "We could go up to your room… get rid of this illusion… be a couple together.. don't you want to kiss me more, my love?"
“I’m pretty sure you don’t want to be in the same room as me, sweetheart,” I shot back, eyes looking over at her. “Maybe next time.”
"Then I'll go to my dorm," I teased, "And leave you alone for another few hours. Without any kisses. Imagine that, Cole.."
That was the breaking point. I pushed her against the tree again, baring my teeth. “Are you trying to torture me, Isabella?”
My grin widened; I knew a victory when I saw one.
"I don't know, Cole, am I?"
She won this one. Scratch that, she always won. I merely snatched her arm and dragged her off, dragged her to my room.
“I hate you so much,” I growled, but I know I would be saying the opposite in just a few minutes. I would be making her say it, too. The fact that she loved me. That she was mine. My name. I would make sure of it.
"Of course you do," I laughed, having absolutely no intention of giving him what he craved. Teasing him with soft, light kisses sounded like a much better idea…
I shot her a glare. Of course she would be enjoying this. Of course. Right after I managed to drag her inside my room, though, and entered myself, I swore I caught a flash of familiar hair before I vanished inside my room.
I locked the door and gaze Elle a look of a predator.
“Well, then, my love, what are you going to about this hunger you’ve brought about?”
Still laughing, I turned away from him and approached the bookshelf. "Absolutely nothing."
I blinked at her, looking at her in disbelief.
”Nothing,” I repeated. “You mean you heated me up like this, just to leave me like this?”
"Mmhm," I hummed in affirmation, greatly enjoying the opportunity to tease him.
Okay, then, Elle. You’ve used up all of my mercy.
Instead of growling, I smiled, showing my teeth.
“Well,” I breathed out as I strolled over to her. “I suppose it is what it is.”
"Actually, allow me to correct myself." I slid a book from the shelf and into my hands. "I 'heated you up' to get out of running laps. And to tease you, because that's fun."
My smile didn’t waver. “Fair enough,” I hummed, though my blood still burned hot for this fox in front of me. “Which book do you want to read?”
"This one," I told him with a victorious smirk, offering him a book with the title of "Dormitory 210".
(😂😂😂)
“Ah, that one,” my eyes flickered to it. “I got it for you, actually. Restocked my books. I had hoped you would like it. The woman in there tortures her man just as much as you like to torture me.”
( l m a o )
"Perfect," I chuckled, pressing it against his chest. "Read it to me. Please. And, you have to let me sit in your lap."
I simply nodded, walking over to a chair to pull it near the bed. I settled on it, then looked at Elle expectantly.
“Well?” I tilted my head. “Aren’t you going to come sit?”
I plopped myself down without any hesitation. "No neck kisses, love, however tempted you are~ And no shoulder-kisses, either."
I neared her ear, breathing softly.
“I wouldn’t even dream of it,” I smiled before grabbing the book from her, flipping it open to the first page. I cleared my throat and began to read, right before I paused. “Why don’t we do this? You voice the woman, I voice the man.”
"Alright," I agreed, amused. What was he playing at?
“I wonder, my beautiful Elle, if we would do this with our children, too,” I mused quietly, knowing she could hear. “The story starts with the woman speaking, Elle.”
