Nix buried his face in Derlik's chest again, quivering a little. "I just… I dunno what to do…"

"I…" Derlik didn't know either. Instead, he just kept rubbing the cat, falling silent.

Nix nuzzled into Derlik's touch to try and relax himself. "I'm sorry again…"

"It's alright…" Derlik slowly closed his eyes, trying to relax as well.

Nix yawned a bit as he cuddled with Derlik, sniffling weakly. "Were you here to visit miss Serna?"

"I…" How would Derlik explain this? "I was," he finally said.

Nix nodded, humming lightly to himself. "She seems to have a lot of visitors."

"Yes, this is true." Derlik gave a weak chuckle. "It's her job to help everyone. She gets some of the most regular visits from other gods."

"Mhmm… Halm never really got any visitors. Miss Serna is nicer than he is, though."

"Yes, she is," Derlik said softly. It wasn't true, though, even he knew it. Halm just wasn't as knowledgable in what could hurt people. He was the nicer of the two in the end, though. Which was worse, being forced to hurt people day in and out, or to accidently do so without knowing what you were truly doing?

Nix toyed with Derlik's shirt a bit more. "Most of the gods seem to be nice enough… I don't like the one who was really mean to Cas, though. Or Halm… you and Miss Serna are nice…"

Derlik smiled a bit. He was nice, huh..?
"There are some that are," Derlik said softly. "I'm glad you haven't met the truly bad ones…"

"Mm… like who?" Nix asked curiously. "Anybody that I should watch out for? Anybody who would try and hurt me like Halm did?"

"Well, Astral like I said before," Derlik said. "Most of the others aren't mean, per say, but… they're prone to seeing humans more like pets or playthings than anything. The only other nice nice one I don't think you've met is Marcos…"

Nix nodded a bit. "Maybe I can meet him someday… you guys seem pretty cool for the most part. I mean, I haven't been hurt by the majority of you I don't think…"

"It might be nice… I think he'd like you too." Derlik offered a weak smile.

"You think so?" Nix looked up at Derlik curiously, resting his head on the other's shoulder.

"Yeah. I know it might not seem like it, with how others have treated you, but you're a very likeable person." Derlik offered another smile, a bit more than before.

Nix smiled weakly up at the other. "I'm glad you think so… I try my best."

Derlik nodded a bit, smiling back.
"Well, you do a really do a good job of it."

"Glad you think so…" Nix shifted a little in Derlik's lap to be more comfortable, purring contentedly.

Derlik started to rub Nix again, holding him close.
"How are you feeling?"

"I'm okay, I think… kinda trying to clear my mind, you know? It's… kinda working?"

"I'm glad it's working a bit for you," Derlik said. He offered a small smile.
"Do you want to find more things to distract yourself with?"

Nix nodded a bit. "Yeah, preferably… do you have any ideas?" He asked curiously.
