"Not always, no, but… One can never know when she's watching." Derlik sighed softly, holding Nix close.
"Not always, no, but… One can never know when she's watching." Derlik sighed softly, holding Nix close.
"Mm… she's stupid. I don't like her." Nix stuck his tongue out again as he rested his head on Derlik's chest.
(I swear it's like you're trying to get Nix tortured or some shit XD)
Derlik looked around again.
"Please don't talk like that," he asked in a quiet voice.
(Oh yeah absolutely)
"What does she care if I'm talking?" He asked. "I'm not even a god or anything. It's not like my opinion means anything."
"You're still associated with us gods," Derlik said quietly, sitting up and holding Nix close.
Nix huffed a bit, shifting so his legs were around Derlik's waist. "But I just got claimed by Halm and he's dumb too…"
Derlik narrowed his eyes, looking a bit scared now.
"Don't say that," he says quickly, looking around as he held Nix closer.
"What, is Halm gonna kill me too? After the shit he's pulled, I wouldn't be surprised, honestly…" Nix huffed.
"No," Derlik said softly. "She would. He's… Her favorite. Please, don't…" Derlik held Nix close, hiding him away in the God's arms.
"She should get a better favorite…" Nix huffed and closed his eyes. "Halm really hurt me…"
"I know," Derlik said softly. "He… Well, she looked him best because he didn't hurt others… I- I don't know what she'll do now that Halm has changed. She'll hate it."
"Mm… maybe you or miss Serna should be her favorite, then. You're both nice." Nix cuddled closer.
(i just choked. Derlik is not nice hhhhh)
(shhhhhh don't tell Nix, he needs to not be hurt again yet)
"We can't control that," Derlik said, holding Nix. "All we can do is try not to make her mad."
Nix huffed a bit. "Fine… I still don't like her, though." He mumbled.
"I understand that feeling," Derlik said softly. He nuzzled Nix's cheek gently.
"Should we head back so this creator person doesn't try to kill us or whatever?" Nix asked with a soft sigh.
Derlik nodded.
"That would be a good idea," A feminine voice said. "If you hadn't been trash talking me this entire time." Derlik stiffened completely, frozen with a look of shock and fear.
"What," the woman said. "You're not going to say hello to your Mother?"
Nix looked up at the woman, confused. He didn't know her well enough to be as terrified as he should be. "Uh… hello?"
"N-Nix…" Derlik was still completely terrified.
"You know, you really shouldn't trash talk someone with meeting them first," the woman continued, stepping forward. She… really didn't look special. A bit under six foot, with plain jeans and anime style t-shirt on.
"I just think your rules are dumb." Nix shrugged. "I don't see what's so wrong with gods being friends? Do you want them to be miserable, or…?"
Derlik started trembling as the woman continued towards them. She was standing over them now, bending down a bit. Her eyes flashed once, a deep, dangerous look in them.
"I do, actually," she said softly. "Why would the opinion of a mangy cat change that?"
"It doesn't, which is why I'm not entirely sure why you're here? Like, if my opinion really doesn't matter to you, then why'd you go out of your way to confront me about it?" Nix asked curiously.
"Because," the woman said, straightening up a bit.
"It gives me an excuse to do this." She hand her hands in her pockets, and in a moment her leg was coming up, hitting Derlik squarely in the head. Derlik let out a gasp of pain, falling over. His eyes were tearing up, and he was obviously in a lot of pain. He held Nix close to himself, trembling.
"'M s-sorry," he choked out. "'M sorry, w-won't do it again…" This was why Derlik never apologized.
"H-Hey! Mr. Derlik didn't do anything wrong! Why are you hurting him?" Nix asked, now finally starting to get scared as he and Derlik hit the ground. "Why aren't you hurting me instead if I'm the one who said it?"
