( Aw, thanks dear. )
Dashan fell back to the ground, landing near-perfectly on his own feet. His nose wrinkled at the words he heard. "So, you must be the gravity-bending dark shadow that's around me right now." He said. He tried the best to actually conclude what was happening with him. "Either that or I've gone and gotten too drunk with my friend. Actually, do you know where he is? He's kind of gone." Dashan asked.
"No, I'm not. Exactly, that is." Felix thought for a moment. He might end up having some fun with this.
"He'll be back. Eventually." Felix relaxed into the couch, holding his notebook on his lap. He picked up his pen too, capping it so it wouldn't dry out.
"How can you not exactly be a dark shadow?" Dashan asked, through gritted teeth. He looked around, poking a random part of the shadow. He expected Felix to feel it, as if he just knew it would work. "Just as long as my friend's okay, that's all I want to be assured of." He added, softly.
Felix felt Dashan's poke on his arm, frowning a little and poking the notebook like he had before.
"He's perfectly fine," Felix said. "And I'm not a shadow. That's just how you see me."
"Phew. What do you look like?" He asked. Dashan really felt into asking questions right now. He felt a poke and giggled, quite softly.
"I look like a person," Felix said. He rolled his eyes when he saw that Dashan giggled, smiling a little.
"Head, arms, legs, torso." He chuckled a little. Still, he shivered a bit and pulled the blankets back over himself, setting the notebook down on it a little tilted without remembering how it would affect Dashan.
Dashan felt his world moving to more of an angle. He pressed himself to the ground, just before ending up in a slightly slow, endless slide. "This is kinda cool. You're just like me, and you've got a neat power! I wish I had the power to just… …make the world move. At will!" He complimented Felix, with admiring eyes.
Felix smiled a little when Dashan complimented him. He realized he had the notebook tilted, but instead of righting it, he decided to test something out. He uncapped his pen, beginning to write.
A block appeared in Dashan's path, and it stopped his sliding. He hadn't built up much speed, so he wasn't hurt. Felix paused, then waited for Dashan to react.
"That's not all I can do," he said.
Dashan gasped, and he tapped the block, and I mean taps that block, many, many times. "Dude, this is epic! I have a cool new friend with awesome magic skills!" He said. "Yo, tell me to do something! I want to try something, too!" He pleaded. He loved this, so very much.
Felix chuckled a little. It felt… nice, to hear Dashan call him cool, to call him a friend.
"What do you want to try?" Felix asked. He smiled, pen poised above the paper. This was so much fun.
The aura around him seemed to feel warmer, a response to Felix's joy, probably. "How about… a crown! Make me a crown!" Dashan begged. He wasn't the type for glitz and glam, but he had an addiction to crowns. "I'll wear it forever!" He added. As if it would be more persuasive, but he felt it was.
Felix paused, then started writing again. After a moment, a crown appeared in Dashan's hands. It was simple, but it was elegant, too. Felix grinned. It would look good on Dashan.
Dashan purred with happiness. "Thank you! It's perfect!" He exclaimed. He reached his hands into the shadows closest to him, and hugged a select area of them. It might even have felt real, to Felix. "You're the best." He whispered.
Felix was more than surprised when he felt phantom arms hugging him. He smiled softly. For Dashan, the shadows would wrap around him a little, returning the hug lightly.
"I-I'm really not," Felix said quietly, but he was smiling brightly.
"Well, I mean, you're the only ghost-thing with connection to me. Honestly I admire that." Dashan whispered. He felt the shadows, and assumed it was Felix. "Your arms are really neat!" He noticed. "What do you think this means for us, anyways?" He asked, suddenly. I mean, hearing spirits and feeling them isn't the usual thing for anyone.
Felix hesitated a moment when Dashan asked that question. Should he fess up, tell Dashan the truth about who Felix really was? For once, Felix didn't know how Dashan would react to that, and it made him nervous. But… he also felt back lying to Dashan.
"I… need to tell you who I am. It'll… all make sense then," Felix said quietly. The warm aura was slowly slipping away and the shadows pulled away from Dashan slightly. Like Felix was retreating into his shyness. His anxiety.
Dashan worried, for a little bit. "Hey now, it's alright. Whatever you are, I promise I won't judge." He informed Felix, with his most honest tone. He tried to send warmth back towards Felix, his sympathy shining through his own skin. "You'll always be super special to me." He said, with a wonky smile.
Felix smiled a little, but he was still nervous.
"I'm… your author. Your creator." He paused not really sure how to continue. So instead, he waited for Dashan's response.
"I have a creator?" He asked, pretty dumbly. "So you're like, the guy who writes my life story? The guy who has a plan for me?" He asked. His eyes shone with admiration. "And I'm actually talking with you-" He said, as the realization hit him. "No way," He muttered, in shock.
Felix was… relieved.
"Yeah," he said softly. He smiled. "That's me." He snuggled down in his blanket again, pulling the notebook a little close.
"Was I weird when I was little? I honestly barely remember it, and if you created me, I'm sure you have an idea." Dashan said. He remembered little bits and pieces, but nothing stood out entirely. He felt the warmness return around him, a little, and it reassured him that Felix was okay.
Felix knew just as much as Dashan did about his past, because that was all he had come up with.
"A little, yeah," Felix said, chuckling softly. "But a good weird."
"Good, and weird." Dashan said, deep in thought. He honestly had no idea what that really meant, but he rolled with it. "I wonder if there's a way we could actually meet, physically, you know?' He said, suddenly. He had an idea of how it might work, but wasn't exactly sure if it would go through correctly.
Felix knew Dashan had an idea as to how, but he had no idea what it actually was.
"I wonder too. It'd be nice if we could." Felix thought for a moment. "What's your idea?"
"What if you made yourself, here?" Dashan suggested. It was almost out of the question, seemed impossible on so many levels, but he wanted to see if it would work.
