Cavendish grins as Bane savages their hand, then merely licks the blood off their hand when bane releases them.

Naizes eyes widen but her growl never stops, what little bob she had tucked in her legs
Bane brought his paw down right next to Naize's head. He brought his fangs closer to her face. He disengaged and got off of her. He walked off and lay at the feet of his mentor. Guard dog activated.
Naize stayed in her corner, shaking. Her fur poofed and making her look like a fluff ball
Devon, having a secret love for anything soft, cute, or well an animal in general, moved to watch the two play. He was almost always observing something, he watched even the slightest change in their demeanor. He was standing in the shadows, hidden mostly from view, a small smile crept onto his face, believing no one could see him, he didn't bother to hide it. He leaned against the wall, suddenly feeling a bit lightheaded.
June stood up from the couch, stretching and then disappearing again, she didn't have anything against these people, not really, but they didn't seem to be willing to fight. Arguing, physically fighting, there was a reason she loved the negative energy.
Bane lifted his head, noticing the boy. Nothing could hide from him, even those who favored the shadows. The smile from him was odd, but so was how he leaned toward the wall. Bane got to his paws and bounded over to the boy, letting the shadow absorb him. He brushed against the boy's hand, sitting down and curling his tail around the boy's feet. Bane used himself as an anchoring point. He knew he liked the kid, quiet and wasn’t trying to fight everyone 24/7.
Cavendish wraps the hand in bandages, then picks up Naize, doing their best to calm her down. They also watch as Bane goes over to Devon, and they smile softly.
Bane sitting is probably a little past Devon’s waist. He’s huge. Bane bats at Devon’s hand and boops it with his nose. In this state, he's not aggressive, just cuddly. This is shown by how he bounds back over to Cavendish and Naize, curling up at Cavendish’s feel and falling asleep. They're not allowed to move now.
Naize growled when bane came back, her hair poofing again
Cavendish shushes Naize gently, cuddling the cat closely. They look down at Bane and chuckle.
"Well, this is just one big killer family. . ." they sing to theirself.
Devon, having spaced out and not noticed Bane, slid down the wall into a sitting position, putting his face in his hands. He had avoided noting the side of him that did this, that could bend shadows, he avoided it as he hated it because it was the reason his mother had died.
(Ooh, is it backstory time? I do believe it's backstory time!)
Cavendish watches Devon closely, then sighs. They start thinking, memories of things best left unremembered floating into their head. They start shaking slightly.
(dev's? I mean, if yall want-)
(In general, lol. But yes. I love backstories.)
Naize curled closer and started purring.
Bane woke up, poking his nose in the air. He shook his head while turning back. “What happened?” His memories of the past hours are blurred. Bane glanced over at Devon and then at Cavendish and then Naize. “Did something happen? All of you look shook up.” He looked down at his hands, tilting his head as to why they were covered in blood. Not again :(. This always happens the voice in his head whined. He held his bloody hands up. “Did I do something?”
Cavendish looks down at Bane and laughs.
"No real recollection of what happened, huh? Well, that's okay." they say, holding up their newly bandaged hand to show part of why he was covered in blood.
Naize jumped down and touched their noses. After a minute she hissed and swatted his face
Devon watched them, his head leaning against the wall, he needed to leave, at least for an hour or so..but he really didn't want to. He sighed inwardly.
Naize walked oover to Devon, crawling into his lap
"Ow! What was that for!?" His stance was defensive, arms crossed over his chest. "I didn't do anything to deserve that. That's some foul play, kitty cat." He sighed, annoyed with Naize batting at him. He looked at Cavendish's hand, a look of guilt forming. "Sorry…" He stifled out, diverting his eyes to the left of the room. "I don't usually remember anything after I cross a certain line of a conscious, human-like state."
Cavendish bursts into laughter at their antics. They calm down quickly though.
"It's fine, Bane. I let you anyways. Hell, I wanted you to." they reply.
Devon gently moved Naize out of his lap, attempting to stand up only to lean against the wall, nearly falling.
Naize shifted “ hey, sit, your not looking to good,”
"Why?" He croaked out. "Why would you want something so painful? I still don't understand it! I could have bitten your hand off… I could have killed you if it continued any farther. I think I've done enough harm for one day." Bane wished he could control his hostile nature, but it ravaged his mind like an unchecked virus. Once provoked, he was gone. Wild. Feral. Just like how father wanted it. A murderer, a fighter, someone to take care of all your problems, so you don't have to. He shifted his weight, turning away from Cavendish. It made him sick to think he kept attacking someone who was apparently now his friend. Where was that sickness when he killed randoms?
