"Not yet, no. She just called me, and she sounded fine. I take it this kind of thing has happened before?"

"Yeah, twice. Somehow for the same reasons." Rico shook his head, even though Henry couldn't see it. "I'm talking to Henry, right? The hockey captain?"

"Henry yes, hockey captain not so much. I'm just on the hockey team. Does she… talk about hockey a lot?" And by that, he was subtly wondering if Rico knew she was on the team. He couldn't keep remembering which brother knew what.

"All the time. And you don't have to worry, I'm the twin. The one who showed up at the stadium?" Rico leaned against the wall, waiting for the upcoming call from the station.

"Oh, right. I'm still catching up with the names. I'm almost at the station, I'll call you back once I've gotten Babe out." He parked the car, stepping out quickly.

"Alright. Tell her she owes me one." Rico said, before hanging up.

Babe was laying on the bench in the holding cell, chatting with a large, burly looking guy covered in tattoos. Her shirt was ripped a bit, and she looked fairly ruffled, various bruises marring the skin anyone could see, and two tissues stuck up her nose. The thing that set her apart from Kai, after his run-in, was that her knuckles were split and bruised.

"Babe!" Henry called once he'd explained himself to an officer. He held back his lecture he had planned, glaring into the cell. "How nice. You made a friend."

"This is Razor!" Babe said, sitting up happily as she gestured to the man. Razor did nothing more than grunt. "We were in the same squad car." She winced as she tried to grin, her split lip screaming for her to stop trying.

Henry sighed deeply, waiting while an officer got Babe out of the cell. "You're in so much trouble. I'm literally going to strangle you. Unless one of your brothers wants to have first dibs, since I'm sure there'll be quite the line of people waiting to talk to you once you're home." For once, there was no trace of amusement in his eyes. No smile played around his face.

Babe stretched, seeming unconcerned, despite the ache. "You didn't have t' come, y'know." She said, poking at her swelling eye. She looked like she'd been hit by a car. "Strangle me all ya want, but it wouldn' stop me from doin' it again."

Henry sighed, walking with her out to his car. "Get in." Once they were both in, he turned the car on but didn't put it into drive. "Explain what the heck you were doing."

Babe's grin turned sharp, a look typically saved for on the ice during a game. "I was teachin' a lesson." That was all she said, sitting back as she buckled.

Henry sighed, reaching his hand up to rub his head. "Let's hope you taught it well." He pulled the car out onto the street and started driving her home.

"Considering two of them are bein' treated, I'd say so." Babe muttered, leaning against the car window. "Kai's gonna kill me though."

"I hope he does. I'm expecting a lot of yelling. Babe, what were you thinking? Something could have happened, you could have gotten hurt. Or worse." He braked quickly, sending the vehicle lurching forward before turning onto a side road.

"Everyone keeps forgettin' I can handle myself." Babe muttered, looking down at the bruises marring her arm. She tucked her legs up on the seat, frowning.

Henry shook his head, shooting her a frown, his eyes flicking around her to count the bruises before going back to the road. He sighed heavily, slumping back in the seat. "Why did you call me?"

"I…I don' know." Babe said quietly, furrowing her brows as she looked over at Henry. "I was hopin' you'd be the least angry at me, I guess. I forgot abou' your overpowerin' mom instincts."

Henry sighed again. "They aren't mom instincts, Babe. I just… really don't like situations like that." He drummed his fingers against the wheel, eyes focused on the road and unwilling to look over at her.

"They hurt my brother, Jacobs." Babe said, voice lowering a tad. "What was I supposed t' do?" She crossed her arms, focusing back on the front window. "I'm…sorry for callin' you, if it makes ya uncomfortable."

One hand went up to rub his head slowly. "You beat up the people who messed with Kai?" His voice shivered between anger, disbelief, and a tiny bit of pride.

Babe huffed a wry laugh, looking back over at him. "I don' just beat people up withou' reason. I'm a bit offended you think I would."

Henry shook his head, slowing the car down as they got closer to her house. "I didn't think you would beat someone up without a reason. I just couldn't guess what kind of reason would prompt you do beat people up."

"I found out their names from a kid at school." Babe said, reaching for her buckle. "He'd caught the tail end o' it, but figured he'd make things worse an' prolong it by gettin' involved."

Henry shook his head, turning off the car and stepping out. "You're already in trouble with Rico. I called ahead, they know where you were."
