"Gray's idea." Babe said with a shrug. "He suggested I stop waiting around to see what else would go wrong, so I did."

"You're lucky it turned out well. And I hope you realize how hard it is for me to hold back the lecture I'm composing right now."

"Mom friend." She shot back, her lips finally turning up into a grin, if a bit smaller than normal. "If you met Gray, you wouldn't be worrying."

He returned the grin, his a little less genuine. "Is Gray still around? What's the story with him after the stalker was out of the picture?"

"He's still around, sorta." She said, tugging a hand through her hair. "'Course, the move and my family not liking him gets in the way, but we video chat once a week, and call each other daily."

Henry nodded slowly, somewhat bothered. "Were you… Are you, like…" He cleared his throat. "Dating each other?"

Babe blinked, before bursting into laughter. It seemed all of her wariness was gone now, replaced by her normal demeanor. "God, no! We tried, that's how we met, and it didn't work at all."

Henry laughed with her, relaxing back into his calmer self. "What was it, online dating in middle school?" He asked with a grin.

"Middle school peer pressure, actually." Babe corrected, shaking her head. "We met in homeroom, and started bonding over hating the teacher. Eventually, everyone decided we had to be dating or something."
