Mitch smiled even more when Ari’s hand went to his waist. He never would’ve imagined… Here they were, in a large house filled with people drinking, playing board games, chatting… and they were dancing together. He glanced from Ari’s face to his necklace, “That’s really pretty, you know. Where’d you get it?” Mitch asked, nodding towards the pendant.
Ari glanced down at the necklace for a moment. "Oh. Uhm…I've had it for a very long time." he replied with a slight shrug. "I don't remember exactly when I got it." Liar. You remember the day you were trapped to this better than you remember your own mother. he looked around the room for a moment, regaining his composure. He looked at Mitch with a smile. "It is pretty." he agreed. Even he couldn't deny that.
Mitch smiled a little, admiring the necklace for a couple more seconds. Mitch normally didn’t get anything nice like that for himself, but he always liked to look at shiny things. Mitch smiled again, before looking back in the direction of the drinks. “I’m gonna go grab another cup, you want me to get you one too?” He offered, nibbling on the corner of his lip.
Ari hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Yes please." he replied, steering them carefully to the edge of the crowd. He smiled. "Just don't spike it with anything extra, please." he added in a teasing tone.
Mitch laughed, unable to hold back his smile. “I’ll try not to,” He replied as he made himself step away so he could go get two more full cups for them. He supposed he should probably warn Ari about how easily alcohol affected him… Being an incubus didn’t really change anything, after a couple drinks Mitch would probably end up very, very drunk.
Ari laughed softly, leaning one shoulder against the wall. "Alright." he replied. He sighed softly, running a hand through his hair. What am I doing? he asked himself. This is such a bad idea…I'm not human. He is…why am I doing this to myself? To him?
Mitch came back to him, swaying his hips a little as he walked, and held out a drink for Ari. He already took a large gulp of his own, which left a bubbling feeling in his stomach. “I’m back,” He said with a wink, even though he hadn’t been gone for long.
Ari smiled slightly, not hardly aware of the way his eyes traveled over the other male as Mitch came back. He took the drink, and took a sip. "Mm. Thank you." he said with a grin, still leaning against the wall a bit.
Mitch smiled, moving to lean against the wall next to Ari so their arms were touching. “This stuff is good,” Mitch said before he took another sip from his drink. “You should probably know… I’m a lightweight. I hope I’m not too much of a handful for you~” He grinned cheekily, leaning against Ari a bit more.
Ari chuckled softly. "Oh, a lightweight." he replied with a smirking grin. He hesitated for a moment, then looped his arm over Mitch's shoulders. "Eh. I'm like…the opposite of a lightweight. Whatever that is. So. We'll be fine." he replied with a grin, looking down at him.
Callista flitted around the party, joining random conversations and eventually returned to her friends. She grinned at then and lifted an eyebrow. "So, how are you two doing?"
Mitch blushed a little when Ari’s hand came over his shoulders and took another gulp of his drink before he leaned into Ari’s side and grinning. Just for tonight, Mitch reminded himself. He’d allowed himself to like his mortal roommate just for tonight, and tonight alone. “This is comfy,” Mitch said happily before he could stop himself, then couldn’t stop his small giggle.
Ari looked over at her, wrinkling his nose slightly. "Fine." he replied to Callista. He looked down at Mitch, and chuckled. "Hm. I'll take that as a compliment." he replied with a smile. Just tonight. You can't do this again, Ari. You'll break your heart doing this, and you know it. You've done it before.
“I usually don’t have this much fun at parties,” Mitch said with a happy grin, adjusting how he leaned on the wall so he wasn’t squishing his wings too much. Another reason why he couldn’t be with Ari tonight—Mitch couldn’t bare the thought of drugging him or something to get him to not remember his wings or tail if they got naked. Usually, Mitch would find someone who wanted to go sleep with him -emphasis on their willingness- and give them a pill or something so they wouldn’t remember him. He couldn’t let people see his wings or horns or tail. It was just too dangerous.
Ari chuckled. "Mm. Usually I'm already in my fifth drink, well on the way to blackout drunk." he said with a grin. He enjoyed getting drunk. Not throwing up, but drunk. Drunk could be fun. It could also be absolutely terrible, but usually it was fun. He took another sip from the cup in his hand, arm still lightly around Mitch's shoulders.
Mitch giggled and unconsciously leaned his head into Ari’s shoulder. He looked at Callista, “Are you enjoying the party?” He asked curiously, hoping she was. He would hate it if he convinced his friends to come and they didn’t have a good time, especially Kyo.
Ari smiled at the other male, then looked over at Callista. "Oh, and Kyo. I hope you guys aren't too bored." he said, giving her a small smile.
"I'm mostly just standing around, I'm a little bored," Callista said and took and sip from her drink. "Y'all are more entertaining than usual today."
Ari nodded, then raised an eyebrow. "And what do you mean by that? I can be very entertaining, if I want to be, though I have a feeling that that's not what you meant." he replied.
Mitch raised his eyebrows, also curious as to what she meant. He didn’t realized that as he shifted to get more comfortable with his wings, he was pretty much putting all his weight -though light- into Ari.
Callista shrugged. "You're being all flirty and shit. I expected it separately but I didn't think it was going to be directed towards each other," She explained. "By the way, if you're going to get it on tonight, find a hotel. Kyo and I don't need to hear that."
"Damn right I don't." Kyo said, wandering over. "Plus, you can't even get in. I stole both your keys."He hummed, holding up two keys in a plastic baggie.
Mitch turned a beat red, "I-I don't want to have sex with him," He blurted, then turned even more red, and twisted his body so he could press his face into Ari's shoulder. He didn't want them to see him blush anymore. Stars, he was wrecking everything, wasn't he?
Ari raised his eyebrows at all three of them. "One… ookay, Callista. Two…" He looked at Kyo and snatched at the bag. "When the fuck did you even take those? Three…" He looked down at Mitch, and rubbed his shoulder lightly. "You don't have to have sex with me. Little hurt that you don't want to, but hey, to each their own." He chuckled softly.
"I lied, those aren't your keys." Kyo smiled. "Now, I said fuck it to my own rule and I'm drunk out of my own mind. I'm going to go hunt down some humans and find my skin!" He announced.
