"Thank you," Thesa said, copying the woman's small smile as she turned to look around for a plate to fill or one that had already been filled.
"Thank you," Thesa said, copying the woman's small smile as she turned to look around for a plate to fill or one that had already been filled.
She nodded, and filled up a plate for her, holding it out to her.
She took the plate without hesitation, nodding in thanks again before grabbing a clean set of silverware from next to one of the sinks. Thesa had no clue if she had to stay in this room to eat, but she figured she would take her chances as she walked out carrying the food. She could eat while she explored.
The woman watched her go for a moment, then went back to work.
It took her a few minutes of wandering and eating before Thesa decided to sit down in one of the larger hallways to eat. She leaned back against one of the walls and tucked her feet up, staying well out of the way of anyone who wanted to get through.
The ship was clean, squeakily so, without a speck out of place.
She was quiet as she ate, looking down the hallways for anyone who might come walking down, not liking the silence that was currently undisturbed by footsteps.
There wasn't anyone coming, the halls quiet and undisturbed.
Thesa finished off her food and stood again, making her way back to the kitchen to return her plate. Once she finished that though, she decided to go back and visit Zev and Alexei. Navigating through the halls were tough though, since they all looked the same.
There were some little signs to help point the way, and if she consulted with the ship's computer, it could tell her where to go.
She soon noticed the signs and tried to follow them as best she could, though not knowing what room Zev and Alexei were in made it more difficult. Thesa followed them most of the way, then just started looking in rooms with open doors to check if it was the one she had originally been led to.
Alexei and Zev were still in the same room, and Alexei was currently fixing the skin on Zev's wrist.
It took her what felt like forever to find the room again, though she smiled when she saw Zev and Alexei. "The food here is top-notch, I'll happily let you know," She said as she stepped into the room, watching the inventor do whatever he was finishing up.
Alexei looked up. "Hm? Oh. Yes, it is." he replied, sitting back.
Thesa nodded, walking back to her chair and sitting down again. Wandering around on the ship without anyone to give her a tour was boring, and she figured watching Alexei fix Zev's arm would prove more helpful to if she wanted to fix things than walking around would.
Alexei finished up Zev's arm, taking a deep breath. "There. It should work now."
Zev nodded a little bit, and moved, testing the arm. "Yes." he replied.
Thesa stayed silent, leaning back in her chair and looking at Zev's arm. It didn't look different at all, but when he moved it, she could tell that it was in a lot better condition than when she had first met him.
Zev looked at Alexei. "Thank you." He said after a moment.
"That was all it took to fix his arm?" She asked, quite impressed at how little time it took compared to how long it took for other androids to be fixed. Even though this injury of sorts was small, it still took a tiny amount of time to fix.
Alexei nodded a little bit. "I designed him to be easily fixed." he replied. "And I had the parts I needed already."
"Ah, makes sense. Does Zev have custom parts? Or is it the same as any other model?" She asked, standing up to come closer and look at his fixed arm.
"He…is very similar to a few of the more dexterous models." Alexei replied with a nod.
Thesa nodded in response, looking for any seam or anything on Zev's arm. There was nothing though, his skin was smooth like he hadn't just had it peeled back moments earlier, "He's a mix of all the models, right? Or most of them? So his components must be the same."
"Well, his mind is a mix of them all, yes, but his body…much of it was customized, like the hair and eyes and the skin tone." Alexei replied. "The parts lying underneath, though, are similar to, say, a musician model, or other such model that is designed to be able to do very small movements with their hands."
"Interesting. What about the rest of him? I doubt all of him would be based on a musician model, seeing as they aren't the most resilient compared to other models, they're built for music not fighting." She asked, on a role with her questions and learning more about how Zev was built.
