“There’s a small control panel just inside my ship, right inside the main door that controls all the pressure and power for my whole ship,” She explained, “The door into my ship has a code though to get in, but lucky for you I use the same code for everything.” Thesa knew it wasn’t smart to do so, but it was the only way she could remember the code and get into her ship.

@gracehustle

“102436,” She rattled off, heading into his ship and the safety of being out of open space. The number did have importance to her, but she wasn’t going to share that information unless asked. Thesa had told a total of two people her code, and with Zev it made three.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zev nodded sharply. "Alright." He followed her. "Is your ship advanced enough for me to tell it to wait an hour before beginning pressurization, or shall i do it manually?" He questioned.

@gracehustle

Thesa thought for a moment before shaking her head, “You’ll have to do it manually, most of the electronics on the ship aren’t advanced enough for that. Oh, and if the system acts up or freezes, just smack the sides a few times, it’s touchy.” Sitting down against the wall, she closed her eyes, keeping her helmet on to communicate with him.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zev nodded. "Then i have to wait an hour before I can start the process, then. The sealant needs time to harden." He said, looking over at her as he came back to her.

@gracehustle

She nodded, not opening her eyes as he came back in. The ship was still cold and dark, meaning she left the suit on for a bit more warmth as well as so she didn’t have to worry about putting it back on to go back out into space.

“If you see Stabby eating anything, please detangle him and the poor object, and also the lights tend to only work part of the time, so just flick them on and off a few times if they don’t respond.” Now that she was saying all the tips and tricks to her ship out loud, she realized how old and beaten up it was, and how desperately she needed to really fix it up.

@gracehustle

“That ship needs everything,” She admitted with a chuckle, “But it does its job so I don’t mess with it, plus parts are too expensive to rewire the whole thing.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

He nodded. "I see." He replied simply. "So you live by the maxim of…"if it ain't broke, don't fix it"?" He asked, raising an eyebrow slightly.

@gracehustle

Thesa shrugged, a light grin just barely visible on her face, “I suppose you could say that. It’s a good motto to live by in my career and lifetime.”

@gracehustle

She was curious as to why it was interesting but she didn’t say anything, just laid her head back against the wall and waited for the hour to tick by.

@gracehustle

She shrugged, “I don’t…really know. Now that you bring it up, I think it’s just sort of, something that’s constant to keep them going? My motto helps me remember that even though I might not have the perfect equipment or brand new things, everything still works and does it’s job.” Thesa thought for a moment before shrugging again, “I suppose everyone has a different reason for their saying in life, that’s just mine.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zev nodded. "It is…strange." a wrinkled formed between his eyebrows as he considered it. "I understand the reasoning behind it, but isn't it illogical for every human to have a different one than another? How can humans get along with such different life mottos?"

@gracehustle

“Because everyone’s life is different,” She explained, looking around before focusing on him, “Our mottos are something that makes us unique, and most of the time you just accept everyone else’s mottos and live your life, though sometimes it can cause conflict.”

@gracehustle

Thesa looked over to him, reminding herself that he wasn’t fully human and didn’t understand the weird quirks and differences in everyone. “What’s strange?” She asked, genuinely curious as to how he was interpreting how she was explaining.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"If it causes conflict, which I believe is viewed as a bad thing, then why not change it so that those outliers whose mottos do not get along with the others are sent somewhere else? A specific planet especially for them, perhaps." He said slowly, cocking his head to one side slightly. "Perhaps that is not the best solution, but my computer's have not yet found a better."

@gracehustle

Thesa wrinkled her nose and immediately shook her head, “No, that wouldn’t be fair. Just because their mottos are different, doesn’t mean they have to be exiled to one specific planet.” She didn’t want to think of how much more unstableness that would cause or how unfair that would be for everyone involved. There was a reason people were allowed to speak their minds and believe what they wanted.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He cocked his head slightly. "Oh. What is your definition of fair, then? For there seem to be too many definitions of the word fair. Justice, that has many. Humans…humans can't seem to decide upon one meaning for words that have to do with the law and what is "right" and "just". I do not understand it."
