"I think I can lead you back," said Skye thoughtfully, "But it could be dangerous."
"I think I can lead you back," said Skye thoughtfully, "But it could be dangerous."
"How dangerous?" Megan didn't want to be all that pushy, yet she wasn't up for fighting anything. "And… I'm not sure if the both of us will have time… I still have to work and Tobias has school the rest of the week. Although…." She began to think.
"I'm in no hurry," said Skye, thinking about all the work he still had to do back home.
"Neither am I" said Rio not wanting to deal with his brother at the moment,
"Well it's not like I was doing anything important…." said Firiko knowingly.
"And as for danger," said Skye, "We still have that man we saw, We don't know what he wanted from us but in all likely hood he's the one who brought us here, and if he did then he could very well do it again, and like I said only powerful Magic could cross worlds like that and in a world like yours that happens to be extremely unusual…"
"That's true… And as for time, I'm afraid this whole expedition, it might have to wait until next week, maybe… Like I said, we're busy…." Megan took everything back into the kitchen and began washing dishes.
Tobias frowned. "That guy sounds awfully strong…" I wonder who he is…
Rio stood up and came over to her, "Let me do that" he said.
"And don't worry about time," said Skye, "for all we know we could spend a year here and have it be a day in our world."
Megan let Rio help, but she didn't let him do all the work. "Now what made you so eager to help?" She gave him an awkward glare.
"That's alright then…" Tobias got up from his seat and headed downstairs into the basement. He was in the need of some entertainment, but this time, he wanted to do something a bit more active….
"I like water" he said letting the water form currents on the dish he was washing so it would scrub the dirt away.
Skye found a lid for the bowl the food was in and left it on the counter before grabbing a rag and tossing it to Firiko who began to wipe the table.
(Sowwy I was gone for so long… Had some stuff I had to do….)
Megan shrugged. "Totally makes sense…" She heard Firiko and Skye doing other stuff, but she continued to focus on washing the dishes. I really need to get the dishwasher fixed….
Tobias went over to a small basket and pulled out a ball. You got me into quite some trouble today, He thought, setting it on the open floor. He began to bounce it off the wall, which was cushioned by some sort of special material.
Firiko wandered down the stairs to see what Tobias was up to. he saw him playing with a ball and a hoop. "What'cha doing?" he asked,
Skye wandered around looking for other things to do, but couldn't find anything. So he went downstairs too. and sat on the stairs and watch.
Tobias glanced back and saw Firiko, as well as Skye who was sitting on the stairs. "I'm just kicking a ball against the wall…. It's fortified, so even if I kick it as hard as I can–" He kicked it with all his might, and the ball whistled through the air and hit the wall with a loud pow. "…It won't leave a hole."
Firiko watched in curiosity, and in one move he suddenly dashed between Tobias and the ball and bounced it back at the wall, then let Tobias have it, but when it bounced off the wall again Firiko caught it and bounced it back to the wall.
Tobias smiled, soon taking the ball and balancing it keenly on his foot. "I don't know where I learned to do this, but Megan said that some things come naturally…." He bounced it a few times before pelting it at the wall.
"Knock that off down there!" Megan howled from upstairs in the kitchen.
Tobias smiled sheepishly. "Oh well…."
Firiko grinned.
"Do you have a yard outside?" Asked Skye from the stairs. "We can play that outside if you'd like."
"Well, we do, but it's fairly small…." Tobias balanced the ball on his foot again and snatched it up. "However, after what happened today, I don't know if Megan wants me to play in the yard. She tends to worry about me a lot sometimes… But others, she doesn't mind leaving me home by myself… It's strange."
"We only need a small space" said Skye. "You can keep doing what you were. Only this time I'll be your wall."
I'm unsure if he wants to be pelted by a soccer ball… Tobias shrugged. "If you want… Megan used to play with me when she had the time… Yet, she'd always say I was too rough…" He went upstairs and outside, where the sun was just below the skyline. It's such a nice afternoon….
Skye followed him out but firiko stayed inside and watched from the window.
Skye jogged to the other side of the yard. "Well? Are you gonna launch the ball or not?" He asked.
"Well, I might hit it into the street again…" Tobias glanced around, volleying the ball with his foot. "Yet… I don't think there's supposed to be a lot of traffic around…" He tapped it a few more times before mildly launching it straight at Skye. Please don't let me hurt him…
Skye lept up and kicked it back easily. "don't worry about hurting me" he said smiling.
"Well if you insist…" Tobias still didn't kick it as hard as he could, just in case, but he cranked his launching up a few noches just to keep things interesting.
Megan was finished with the dishes earlier than usual since Rio was helping her out. "Thanks for helping with washing dishes; it's not very common I get an extra pair of hands around here…." Since I really don't intend on paying for any…
Skye launched it back just as easily as before, leaping high to catch it before it went to far.
Rio nodded, "Don't worry about it" he said smiling, "It's only fair to help out."
Firiko nodded from his vantage point of the window, "Yeah I just wish I had a way to help, but thanks to these" his wings twitched, " I cant do much in closed spaces and I definitely can't go outside"
"Well, that's a shame…" Maybe there's a way to encorperate it into convincing everyone he's a robot of some sort as well… Yet the wings are too realistically feathery…. "Maybe we'll find something…" She left the window and down into the basement to do some loads of laundry for tomorrow.
Tobias finally let loose after a few more rounds, and he really dug his toe into the ball. It popped with a loud pow, and fell to the ground as a sad pile of deflated ball. He sighed. "There goes another one…."
Skye came over to the ball and frowned, "Hmmm" he said picking it up and inspecting the hole. "If that hole were a little smaller I might've been able to fix it…" he said with an awkward smirk,
Firiko and Rio watched her head down stairs, and watched some more as Skye and Tobias came in, "Hey Skye" Said Firiko unsure if this was a good time, "Do you think maybe…."
"Think what?" asked Skye
"That maybe that man we saw… Maybe he might come after us?" said Firiko hesitantly,
"I don't think so…" said Skye, "Actually it is very likely he will, after all we're almost certain he or someone he's working with brought us here, and if they did then they went to a lot of trouble to do so" he said mentally to both Firiko and Rio. "But we'll wait until Tobias is out of the way to discuss this further" he finished firmly, giving each a hard look.
Tobias watched them kind of strangely look at each other (because what else are you gonna do when you're talking telepathically). I wonder what they're thinking about….
Skye broke the connection and gave Tobias a smile, "I'm pretty sure our job at the moment is to keep you busy," he said, "So what do you wanna do now?"
