Although it didn't hurt, it did tickle his bare arm. "I always wondered what magic like this was like…. People nowadays forget about this kind of sorcery and fantasy in general…" He made a motion to pet the dragon and touch its horns.

" Your world has magic?" asked Skye, "That's kind of surprising, I probably would have sensed if there was magic in this world…"

"Oh, no…. Um…" I must've mispoken… "There's no magic here… Just the idea of magic and fantasy doesn't really have a place in people's minds anymore like they used to." Tobias still watched the dragon move around on his forearm.

Skye studied him curiously, but didn't press him as he began to manipulate the aura again. this time the little dragon flew up between them and landed on skye's finger, skye stared at it for a few seconds and then it changed. this time instead of a dragon it had taken the form of a pegasus, who proceeded to gallop off into the space between Skye and Tobias.

Tobias was simply mesmerized by the magic Skye altered, taking the form of a simply winged horse. "So how do you go about with magic in your world? Is it for self benefit, fighting, or…?"

"Anything really, Some use it to heal, others to fight, some to defend and still others to destroy. some use it to harm or help, and others just take it for granted and its just there as a part of their way of life" said Skye, "I myself usually use my own aura to defend and lead my people"

"That's nice," He grinned happily, a look of sunniness crossing his face. "I always wondered what it was like to have magic…" Tobias continued to watch, that is, until Megan called him to the kitchen. "Hang on– I'll be right back." He got up and arrived where he was summoned.
"I need you to set the table and plate stuff up– I have a few things I need to take care of before dinner," Megan said, leaving down the hallway. "If you need anything, just holler!"

Skye let the Pegasus vanish and looked around the room and saw that it was a bit dusty, "hmmm" he said to himself, then he concentrated his aura and willed the dust and dirt to disappear, then he wandered down the hall and let his aura do the same thing in every room he could find.

Tobias did as he was told and put everything on the table. Now all that he needed was to round everyone up and wait for Megan to return….

Megan was in the middle of formatting the document when Skye walked into her office (to remove da dust). She was typing and such when all the sudden, all of the grimy stains and dust in between each and every key abruptly cleaned itself away. She was left extremely flustered. "What the–?"

(Sowwy if it's not okay to have him reenter her office….)

Skye paused, "Sorry if I scared you," he said "I figured I may as well make myself useful" he said cheerfully.

She whipped her head around and saw him standing there. "Oh… No… You're alright…" Megan let out a breath she was holding in, and she turned around in her chair. "I just… This keyboard is years old, and the dirt is insanely hard to clean… When it all disappeared, it was like magic." She gave him a small smile before getting back to work. "Just give me a few more seconds, and I believe we can eat."

Maybe it isnt a good idea to tell her about our magical sides just yet. he thought to himself as he wandered back down towards the kitchen after giving her a friendly nod.

Megan sighed with relief, saving her document another time and closing all the windows. That gave me such a scare… She breathed deeply. I knew they had something… But nothing like that…. She got up from her chair and headed on to the dining room where only Tobias was sitting.
"Where's everyone else?"
Tobias shrugged. "Rio was reading and I don't know where Skye went…"

"I'm right here" said Skye as he pulled Rio into the kitchen. "And firiko will be down in a sec"

"Alright then…" She sat down across from Tobias. "Hopefully it won't be too long…."

Tobias waited as well, eager to see what kind of conversations they were going to have since it was more than just a "what did you do at work today" or "what'd you do in school today."

Skye and Rio each took a seat and Firiko came down the steps a few moments later, "sorry for making you wait!" apologised Firiko as he quickly took a seat.

"Alright then…. Let's eat."
They kind of just slipped into that awkward state where no one really said anything and just served themselves up.
"So… Um……" Megan froze for a second before continuing, "How do you suppose we get you three back where you belong?"

Skye looked up, "First I'd like to figure out how we got here in the first place," he said carefully, "But as for getting home what we really need to do is figure out where our world is compared to yours. After that combining our powers should be able to open a gateway home, But we need to figure out where home is or we will probably end up in some other strange world."

"Well…. That'd be tough, considering we've never really worked with more than one plane of existance before…. If that's what your world is comparatively…" Megan said. "So… That might be hard to figure out…"
Tobias just kind of idled there, really unsure if he should pitch in or not. It looks like she has a good point… But…. How did they even get into the city in the first place?

"Ma'am there is a big difference between planes of reality and different worlds." said Rio, "And you'll learn that pretty quick if we end up sticking around for too long."

Firiko laughed, "That's what you get for befriending my brother!"

Skye shook his head, "Rio is right, Planes of reality and Different realms are two different things. you see if you look at the universe like it is a solar system, each world is its own planet. but you can't get to them using machinery, you have to use powerful magic. that is because each world has its own characteristics, Time can pass differently and the laws of nature can be different too, and those are just 2 of the more obvious examples. Now each world has a different place in the universe. and depending on what world you are in it can be easier or more difficult to get from one to another. that is because the number of worlds between one or another differs. and depending on how many other worlds are between the one you are on and the one you want to go to, it can make it harder or easier to get to your destination. " he explained. "If that makes any sense whatsoever"

Megan kinda sat there in an awkward silence, some kind of wavering disturbing her gut. She grinned awkwardly. "Well…. If you insist, then… I'm not sure if I can really help you at all. I may be smart, but not all that knowledgeable about everything…."
Tobias was a bit worried about getting the three of them back. How were they– simple human beings– supposed to get them back if they had no idea about anything of how it worked?

"Don't worry, We'll figure it out," said Firiko, "besides it's not like we know much about your world, anyway.After all Skye is the only one who has a single clue about how to act in the city"

"Yeah, the only machinery I know how to use is anything to do with the ocean, Other than that I'm no good on dry land." said Rio,

"Then there's the fact that Firiko can't read" said Skye with a smirk, "and again they're both right, Not only do large cities come few and far between in our world, But our kind generally stay away from them, And Rio generally stays out at sea…."

"That seems a bit logical…" Megan finished up her food, and Tobias did as well, but he was much more leisurely.
"What I don't understand is how we're supposed to help you find your so-called world when we didn't even know it existed," He told them plainly. Things here aren't adding up…

Skye cleaned off his plate, "That is a bit too hard to explain, but It should be easy enough to do once we figure out how we got here." he said,

"The easiest thing I guess to do is backtrack," Megan stood up to clear the stuff off the table. "As in can you go back to the place before you came to the city?"
Tobias handed his plate over. This is boggling my mind more than ever….
