Sylvia looks even more embarrased. "Sorry. . ."
She looks at Teagan. "Library, was what the place was called."
Sylvia looks even more embarrased. "Sorry. . ."
She looks at Teagan. "Library, was what the place was called."
"What did you run off to the library so suddenly for?" Teagan asked. "We have some books here. And we could've brought you to the library without you jumping out the window and scaling a building."
"Everyone at the lab gave me little freedom. I was made there. So I don't like being cooped up without at least 3 easily accessed escape routes." Sylvia replies. "And as to why I went to the library, I needed knowledge that you couldn't give me."
"I mean… you still could've told us where you were headed. We thought you died or something." Teagan rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly and looked away. Finn was still despondent and huffy.
Sylvia looks a bit annoyed.
"I didn't want to tell you."
"Why not? We're not gonna stop you from going, we were just worried." Teagan replied.
Sylvia huffs. "And you expect the lab grown, very abused technosoldier to know that?"
"Well, I dunno…" Teagan sighed. "Just try not to run off like that again, okay?"
Sylvia sighs.
"Fine."
"What do you want to do now that you're back? Did you learn anything of interest at the library?" He asked.
"I memorized a dictionary." Sylvia replies.
"You memorized a dictionary? You were only gone for like, twenty minutes or something." Teagan replied incredulously.
"I'm a genetically and physically altered lab grown human." Sylvia sighs.
"I mean, yeah, but even so. I wouldn't think the human body would be capable of something like that, even at peak performance. What kind of DNA did they add to your genes?"
Sylvia glances over. "That is top secret. Not even the leader of our fine country knows that."
"Alright." Teagan held his hands up in front of himself for a moment and then stuck them in his pockets. "If you ran away because they mistreated you, though, why do you care if their secrets get out?"
Sylvia snorts. "I don't, but everyone that had been told - as in you two - would be executed."
"Fair enough. I don't really want to die." Teagan shrugged and hummed nonchalantly.
"Yeah, not really into being dead…" Finn added.
"What do you want to talk about, then?"
"I thought as much." Sylvia replies.
"What do I want to talk about? I don't know."
"Well… I dunno. Anything you read about interesting? Confusing?" Teagan asked, shrugging.
Sylvia shrugs. "I understood all of it pretty well."
"Well… anything you saw outside confuse you?" He asked. "I don't really know what you'd want to talk about. We're not all that exciting."
"Well. . . I have one question. Where are the oceans?" she asks.
"Well, we aren't particularly close to them. There's oceans in coastal states and stuff, but we're a few hours away from any. We've got lakes and such though."
Sylvia looks surprised.
"I hear water, though."
