"Alright. Anything you want to cook in particular?" Finn asked. "We have limited resources here."
"Alright. Anything you want to cook in particular?" Finn asked. "We have limited resources here."
"Eggs and bacon." Sylvia replies.
"Alright, c'mon then. Teagan, stay here. You always set stuff on fire." Teagan huffed in response to this, but stayed put. Finn led Sylvia into the kitchen.
Sylvia hops up excitedly, bounding into the kitchen like a rabbit mixed with a tornado.
"I'mma make some eggs. . . I'mma make some eggs. . ." she sings happily.
"Alright, just watch what I do, okay? I'll make fried eggs and scrambled." Finn pulled some eggs out of the fridge, put a pan on the stove to start heating up, and cracked a few eggs into the bowl. He whisked them with a fork and added some seasoning before he poured them into the pan.
Sylvia nods and stops singing, watching intently, not blinking. Very creepy, probably, but mostly adorable.
Finn glanced over to her occasionally, but mostly focused on showing her how to make eggs. With the scrambled eggs done, he put the bacon in the air fryer on a tray and cracked a couple more eggs directly into the pan to make fried eggs.
Sylvia continues to watch, commiting these things to memory.
"Why didn't you swirl these eggs too?" she asks.
"I'm frying these ones instead of scrambling them, so I don't mix them up." Finn explained, flipping the eggs.
"Ah. . . but what's really the difference between? Couldn't you mix the eggs and still fry the eggs?" Sylvia questions.
"Mm, not exactly. Once you mix them, they become scrambled. They taste basically the same, but it affects the texture somewhat." He shrugged.
Sylvia shrugs, but resolves to experiment later.
"Okay." she says in the meantime.
