He hummed softly, comforted by what Tolly said. "I hope so." He leaned into Tolly's hand and closed his eyes
"I know so," Tolly replied, easing Cas into one last kiss before he pulled away a bit. "We should probably get back to work."
"hm, but I don't wanna," he whined, nuzzling Tolly with his head
Tolly laughed, petting his head with a sappy smile. "Yeah, but work is important. And if we get it done fast enough, we can head home and cuddle!"
"Ughh fine, you're starting to sound like me now." He laughed and gently pulled away.
"My worst nightmare," he drawled sarcastically, kissing Cas on the forehead before he walked over to the pile of boxes and grabbed one.
"I could be," he laughed again an attended to another costumer as they came in
Tolly rolled his eyes with a snort. "Mmhmm." He started stocking the shelf, holding in his reply until the customer was safely out the door. "Cas, you're about as intimidating as a wet puppy."
He laughed and waved to the customer as they left "you should know this better than anyone, puppies can turn into wolves,"
"Fine. You're about as intimidating as a wet kitten then. But I guess even then you'd still have claws" Tolly smirked at him, grabbing the last box. "Of course, I wouldn't know. I haven't seen them yet."
He smirked back "keep tempting me and you just might." He tilted his head teasingly and pulled out a scroll, signing his name at the bottom with a feather and rolling it up
Tolly opened his mouth to shoot back another teasing remark before his attention was captured by the scroll. "What's that?"
"hm? Just a copy of everything in the store and what I'm supposed to get from Mom and Dad from their personal garden. She had a thing for Renaissance writing, plus it ensures that it's me writing and not someone else." He explained
Tolly nodded, watching him write for a few more seconds before he turned away to finish stocking the shelf. "Neat! When are you going to swing by their house?"
"this weekend actually. I go every other weekend." He said, rolling up the roll and putting it in his backpack
Tolly smiled, walking over to wrap Cas up in a hug. "Can I go over with you?" He asked with his best puppy dog eyes. "I wanna meet your parents."
He glanced up and kissed his nose "you can do your best puppy dog eyes but it won't work on me."
Tolly blushed, puppy eyes melting into a pout. "C'mon Cas," he whined, pulling him closer. "Pretty please? With a cherry on top?"
Cas laughed "I never said you couldn't, I just said that puppy dog eyes don't work on me."
Tolly grinned, kissing the top of Cas' head with an excited twinkle in his eye. If he had a tail, it would be wagging. "So I can go!?"
Cas nodded "mhm, yeah you can come, as long as you don't eat all of mom's famouse roasted pork."
Tolly laughed. "I can't make any promises, Hon! Dogs have big appetites, especially for delicious home cooked food."
"then I'm pretty sure you won't want to leave." He laughed with Tolly "mom's pretty good at cooking."
"Nah, I'll follow you back home." He lowered his voice to a conspiratorial whisper. "Dos are loyal. We follow in our master's footsteps."
He raised an eyebrow in slight surprise "I'm master to none, I'm no one superior or slave." He muttered in response
