"yeah that's a problem I'm willing to solve later." He shook his head with a laugh, glancing up at Mikhail to make sure he hadn't heard. He sighed softly and pressed a kiss to his cheek, glad that Tolly was with him. He wasn't sure how'd he handle this without him. "You don't have to stay the entire time if you have class or something."
Tolly leaned into the kiss with a pleased him, returning the soft peck with a soft smile. He was glad Cas would let him tag along, even though he was being horrible to Mikhail. "Silence the thought, I'm not leaving you along until we're out of here and I don't need to worry about you ending up with a concussion or a broken arm or something."
Cas nodded and took a deep breath as they neared the dorm building. He adjusted his hold on the basket, the jars and ingredients shuffling around a bit. He leaned into Tolly a bit, his body tensing up. He squeaked a thanks to Tolly and followed Mikhail into the building and to the dorm rooms. Now closer, Cas could see the visible worry on Mikhail's features. He relaxed slightly, though the fact that he was worried meant that there was somthing truly wrong
Tolly pulled him in a little closer as they made their way up to the dorms, subtly moving until he was situated between Cas and Mikhail. His thumb ran over Cas' hip gently, soothing because he felt the way his boyfriend tensed up as they slowly approached their destination. By the time they made it inside he was more than a litter nervous himself, glancing around the room cautiously and not letting Cas move away from his side until he was sure nobody way laying in wait for them.
Mikhail waved them over to the bedrooms, specifically one with the door cracked open. "He's in here." He said quietly, glancing over his shoulder at them. He sighed and waved to the rest of the room. "The others are in their rooms, you don't have worry." He rolled his eyes at the two and gently knocked on the door, his only reply a rasp to come in.
Case took a deep breath, glancing around d the dorm room a bit before slowly following Mikhail to the room
Tolly rolled his eyes right back, but he stopped glancing around like he was worried somebody was going to jump out of the shadows. He let go of Cas too, once they made their way into the door room. As much as he didn't like these guys, we was pretty sure they wouldn't try anything at the moment. "Last time I saw you, you were committing at least three different felonies. I think that's a bit of a stretch."
Mikhail shrugged and leaned against the door frame of bedroom, nudging open the door for Cas and Tolly to enter. He watched as Cas slowly entered and stopped at the threshold to take in the bedroom. Mostly a white room, tidy save for the plates of food and pile of clothes heaped to the side. There was a heap of blankets and pillows, completely cocooning a young Jasper, a student Cas had seen a few times in his classes, usually soft spoken and shy but nice nonetheless. Cas was actually surprised he stayed with Mikhail and the others. With a deep breath, he slowly walked towards the paper man and knelt beside him, gently shaking his shoulder to wake him.
Tolly looked around the room for a few moments, nose wrinkling up at the scent of sickness that clung to just about everything. Unlike Cas he didn't recognize the kid, but he was surprised all the same. It didn't seem like these guys would be the sort who took in freshmen, but apparently they were. "Alright, um… I guess we can set up here, yeah?" He set the basket down on a nearby dresser, wandering over to get a better look at the blanket swaddled figure. "How long has he been like this?"
"we're not sure. He had said he felt sick a few nights ago. We thought it was nothing so we gave him cold meds. He got like this around 3 nights ago, maybe longer." He replied, crossing his arms over his chest and stepping into the room as well.
A whine of protest the a grunt came from the other side of the room. Cas backed up a bit to let Jasper move around.
"Jasper, I'm Cas, we've talked a few times in class. I'm here to help." He explained softly, showing him the basket. Jasper gaze a glance around the room, bleary eyes and still clearly sleepy. "Hmm, Kay.." he replied, curling up deeper into his heaps of blankets.
Tolly let Cas take the lead, more interested in taking in the room and staying out of the way than anything else. From what he could see Jasper and pale and sweaty, so the cold meds had done just about nothing, but he didn't exactly have the skills to diagnose anything beyond that. "You said he was seeing stuff, right?" He glanced over at Mikhail, giving him an indifferent look. "Did it sound like fever hallucinations, or was it more real? And have you taken his temperature recently?"
Mikhail shook his head "he's always seen things but since the fever, they've been getting more vivid. When he talks, he adds more details." He shuddered slightly "we've been taking his temperature recently but I don't think it's been making it any worse or better." He sighed softly
Cas took a nervous deep breath and did some basic procedures, taking a temperature before pulling off the blankets, even if Jasper protested.
Cas then waved Tolly over as he explained what he was going to do to help Jasper
Tolly made his way over quickly, glancing down at Jasper every now and then as he listened to what Cas proposed. He already had some small idea of what they could do—bring his temperature down, try to get some food and water in him, that sort of thing—but it was all basic stuff and he was grateful that he'd been brought along by someone who actually knew what he was doing.
"Alright, so… anything I can help with? Or am I better just sticking to the side and letting you do the work?"
"yes, would you mind grinding some of the yarrow with a bit of the dried Jasmin, please." He said, finding a few more dried herbs and leaves to start putting together in another notary and pestle.
"Do you have hot water?" He asked Mikhail.
He shook his head, watching them carefully before walking off to start boiling a cup of water
