(I know right?? I've already made a document where I've essentially copy and pasted the entire story (made sure to give credit to eris, of course) so i can share this amazing story with my friends! already have two of them reading it right now, and they're really invested in it! so great job eris!)
(You've….copied and pasted my story…? Without asking me?)
(can you please use the proper parentheses?)
(eek, sorry! but i did give credit. if you'd like me to take it down, i can)
(sorry again…)
(I'm just trying to follow now– You copied, pasted and posted my story….without my permission.)
(It's not about credit—because you can say that you gave it, but how am I supposed to know for sure?)
(I am not trying to mean, but I am really upset about this. I've trusted the people on this site with something I have been working on for ages and something that I do plan on publishing eventually. To know that it's been passed around without me knowing is….rough…and makes me scared to post more.)
(Sorry… I really do understand. It's only been shared with two friends. I'm not quite sure what to do at this point. I'm open to any and all suggestions, and I'm open to deleting the document as well. I can even give you a shared link, if you wanted to see as well. I feel really bad about this, and I want to make it up to you or something.)
(Thank you Izzy for your easy compliance.)
(Why don’t you make that link public and post it here.)
(I know it wasn't meant in a bad way, but you–as a fellow writer–have to understand why I'm kinda paranoid about this now. I appreciate that you want to make this right. I think you should make use of Dom's suggestion and make the link public and post it here, but I still would like you to inform your friends that they need to read it here on notebook and delete what you have copied and pasted.)
(Yeah, of course. No problem Dom! And yeah, I will!)
(Also, just so you know Izzy, your friends can read it on notebook without an account)
(I'm glad that this got resolved well!)
(Please note that I made this on a school account so if anyone happens to find out my real name, according to Google, who owns the document, please don't share it with anyone. But here's the link: shortened version of the link
((Yup! I know that, Moxie, but thanks for the helpful reminder!))
((And me too, Jyn))
(Izzy–access is denied to the doc)
(Huh, that's strange.)
(I'll check it out)
(Really quick–)
(I want to get a gauge of how many readers I have (i'm considering moving this over to another more protected site) and I want to know if it is worth it. I would still post here with general updates and chats regarding the story, but the main bulk would be somewhere else. Idk just a thought. I may just be paranoid and a little hurt and in the end just keep posting here. Idk yet.)
(But if all readers could sound off– that would be super awesome.)
(Just comment: ('Me!') or something like that.)
(Ah, I figured it out. It was set so that only people in my school district with the link could view it. Here's the new link (again) (I hope that this one works)
(So what you're saying is that you just want to have a general idea of how many people are actually reading ATC on Notebook? If so, I've totally been reading it.)
((I have! I’ve been reading for a while, and live for updates!))
(Me!! I love this story and how everything is set up in this universe)
