Ali laughs, leaning into Serenity's arm a bit, then pulls out her phone, finding a driver. The screen lit up her face as he sun rose higher into the sky, becoming lighter
Serenity watches the sun rise higher, then smiles slightly.
"You know, it's weird. I never expected to meet someone like you." she grins, wrapping an arm around Ali's shoulders.
Ali smiles timidly, glancing at Serenity, realizing something.
Something familiar
The feeling when you realize all is right, that everything will work out
Ali blushes, putting her phone in her pocket once she found a driver. She smiles up at Serenity.
"Neither did I." She says shyly, watching as seagulls dove into the ocean. "but here we are."
(Lmao, how tall are our characters? I'm thinking Ali's somewhere around, like, 5'4" or something… so, in order for her to look up at Serenity, Serenity would have to be 5'8" or 5'9", making her exceptionally tall for a girl!)
Serenity realizes that there's a reason why they seem to get along so well: they must share the same feeling of familiarity. Otherwise, neither of us would have opened up so quickly.
"Yeah, here we are." she says, noticing the shy tone and knowing it would be very easy to fluster her further.
(I think Ali's like 5'2 or 3? I make all my characters short for some reason XD)
"Im glad we're roommates." Ali blurts, pressing her lips together in embarrassment. She sighs, then watches as a white sedan pulls up to the curb, and her phone vibrates. "That must be our ride." She says, mostly to herself
(I was close? Wow, I must be, like, magic or some shit…)
"Same!" she says brightly, walking over to the car and opening the door for Ali. "After you!
(woahh…)
Ali grins, sliding to the opposite side and putting on her seatbelt. The driver sighs when he sees them, soaking wet, then starts driving to the location Ali sent him. She laughs, looking over at Serenity
Serenity starts laughing as well. Albeit, probably for more reasons that the Uber drivers reaction.
"We must look spectacular!" she grins, now realizing her makeup was all gone.
Ali grins. "Heck, yeah we do." She notices Serenity's makeup was gone, but she still was stunning. Maybe even more stunning. She realized she was staring and turned to look out the window, watching palm trees and strip malls go by
Serenity chuckles at Ali turning away.
"Since you were staring, I imagine you find that particularly true?" she asks, her grin widening.
(I'mma have to leave here soon for a choir concert. I'll see ya at 8:00!)
(see ya! good luck!!)
Ali blushes, leaning her head against the window. "I mean, yeah. of course." A smile crosses her lips
Serenity chuckles.
"If it helps, the same is true for you." she says, scooching over so that she was right next to Ali. She leans in close and whispers, "I really like your style, by the way."
Ali turns red, grinning warmly. There is no way. There is no fucking way.
“I… I…” she starts, leaning back into Serenity. “…I like you.” She whispers, close to her face. And god, did her hair smell good.
Serenity giggles. You really don't think I see it, Ali?
"And you just figured that out, huh?" she snarks, a true smile crossing her lips. "And yeah, I like you too." She leans in closer, smelling Ali's shampoo. Mmmmm… vanilla. Damn, I'm thinking about cookies now.
Ali grins, practically leaning on her shoulder. She watches the buildings go by outside, as the car turns through the street to the school campus.
“I can’t believe we found each other.” She said plainly. it’s like… the sun is also a star… she thinks. two people meet, and all this happens, in the same day. the car slows and Ali groans once she realizes she has to get up.
Serenity sighs and leans back against Ali, just idly twirling a curly strand of her hair around a finger,
"Me either." she replies, startled out of her reverie. When the car slows, she sighs and groans.
"But I'm comfy here…" she whines, while still moving to get out of the car.
The driver turns around. "get out, and maybe I won't make you pay double for what I just had to go through." Ali gets the message and opens the door, jumping out as quickly as possible, and holding it for Serenity. "You have to be freezing now." She remarks, trying not to stare at Serenity's figure.
"Oh, shut it." Serenity says to the driver, tossing him a twenty as a tip. She gets out, then shuts the door behind her, now directly in front of Ali.
"Nah, this is perfect." she replies, definitely staring at Ali. "You're forgetting, I lived in the MidWest for a long time."
Ali can’t help herself now, she’s looking Serenity up and down, then smiles at the remark. “Alright, alright. Guess I’ll have to live with you being so hot all the time and me being so cold.” She chuckles lightly, trying to find her keys. “Ah, I swore they were in here…” she grumbles, digging in her pockets
Serenity grins. "Yeah, I suppose you will."
She notices Ali looking for her keys and puts a hand on hers, stopping her.
"I've got the door." she says, digging through her own pockets and grabbing her keys, unlocking the door and holding it for Ali.
Ali smiles, blushing a bit, then heads into the room, collapsing on the couch. "Do you wanna have the first shower?" She asks, draped across the sofa.
"That depends," Serenity replies, laughing at Ali's casual posture on the sofa. "On many things."
She knows that this will turn Ali red again, which is exactly why she said it.
Ali, just like Serenity expected, turned a deep shade of red. "o-oh. umm." She sits up, staring at Serenity. God, what do I do?? "Uhm.. I mean.. I-If…" She trails off, eyes focused on Serenity.
