"And you can't do that until you let me help you. So let me." Ariella gave him a pointed look.
"And you can't do that until you let me help you. So let me." Ariella gave him a pointed look.
Amyntas whines, hiding his face.
"I need you to tell me, Amyntas. It's the only way this can work."
He whimpers, “I-I’m…too scared…” He whispers.
"You have to be brave," she whispered, "you're my strong knight remember? But you have to be brave."
He shakes his head.
"You can do it. You're brave and strong." She whispered. "You just need to tell me. I can do the rest."
He shakes his head. “No! I don’t wanna talk about it!”
"Then I can't help you if you don't tell me." She shook her head.
He whines, “I-i dont need help…”
"You do. You're just not ready to accept it."
Amyntas covers himself with the blanket, shaking.
Ariella just looked down at him. "It's never going to stop. It's going to keep haunting you, even after death, if you can't make terms with it now. If we can't deal with it now. It will never leave you."
Amyntas whimpers, “SHUT UP!”
"You're upset because you know I'm right. Don't take it out on me. I'm not the one you're upset with." She crossed her arm.
Amyntas covers his ears, shaking.
"It's never going to go away if you don't face it." Ariella sighed, running a hand through her hair. She didn't know how to help someone that didn't want to be helped.
Amyntas whimpers, closing his eyes. He had been so hurt in the past…just thinking about what happened made him feel like he was still with him. That he was being watched. Amyntas coughs, hiccuping.
"It's never going to stop hurting, Amyntas. But if you face it, you will be able to move on. It'll always stay with you but you can't start healing until you deal with it." Ariella slipped off of the bed and walked to his side of the bed, crouching beside it.
Amyntas whimpers, “It’s too hard…it makes me feel like I’m having a heart attack every time I even think about it…I relive it…”
"And that feeling is never going to stop until you face it. Everytime you sleep, you're going to see it. Anytime anyone comes close to mentioning it, you're going to see it. It's never going to get better if you don't face it."
Amyntas hides underneath the blanket, trying to shield himself.
"I'll let you think about it." She rose and went to the bathroom. She just needed to get away but she didn't want to leave him alone.
Amyntas whines, unsure.
She washed her face and stared at her reflection for way too long. She looked tired. She sat on the toilet, just to sit, and put her head in her hands.
