Amyntas whimpers, forcing himself to stay in bed.

After a time passed, Ariella finally opened the door and watched the prince from the doorway.

Amyntas grips the sheets, *Just hurry and do it…at least make the pain go away…” He slowly sits up, then starts getting up. He yelps once he sees Ella. “Um-“

Ariella was leaning against the doorframe, watching him with an eyebrow raise and arms crossed.

Amyntas bites his lip, making sure his sleeves were pulled down.

"Oh no, please continue, don't stop on my account," Ariella waved her hand. "But don't forget what I told you. Even death won't stop your pain. It will follow you unless you face it."

Amyntas bites his lip harder, tears welling up in his eyes.

"Are you ready to try or do you want to wallow in self pity some more?" Ariella asked.

Amyntas grips his arms, shaking.

"I need an answer Amyntas." She was only so patient.

Amyntas whimpers. He had no words. He didn’t know what to do…or say.

"Amyntas." She was growing impatient.

He whines, “I cant! Just leave me alone!”

Ariella sighed and nodded her head. "Okay."

Amyntas whimpers, looking away. “I-I’m sorry…I- I just…” he whines, feeling his chest get hot.

Ariella nodded. "I know you are. But if you're not going to help me help you, there's nothing else I can do here."

Amyntas shudders, “I…don’t want to make you do that kinda stuff…besides…it’s pointless…and I brought you here to keep you safe…not to work…”

"I wouldn't offer if I didn't want to help. And you can't keep me safe if you can't deal with your stuff."

Amyntas sighs, “Still…”

"I'm not safe here if you can't sort your shit. I will leave if I have to. If you can't protect me I'll go somewhere I can stay safe." Ariella strode over to the bed.

Amyntas flinches, going silent.

"So what do you want to do?" Ariella asked. "Do you want to protect me? Or do you want to keep this to yourself? You can't have both."

Amyntas whines, “But what if someone finds out?!”

"And how will they? No one beyond this door will know." Ariella promised him. "No one. We'll get through this together. Just you and me."
