"You can do this." She nodded encouragingly.

Amyntas takes a deep breath. “Um…a f-few years ago…my ex boyfriend…um…he was really abusive…I um…eventually broke up with him…and got with another guy…he was…nice at first…b-but…” he whimpers, starting to shake.

Ariella pursed her lips as she listened. "It's alright, keep going."

Amyntas looks around, taking a shaky breath. “He…started getting even worst than the last…and- he…” he whines, shaking more.

"What did he do?" Ariella asked gently.

Amyntas starts hyperventilating. “He and my ex…beat me…a-and…” He hiccups, going silent. Who knew that this man could be so sheepish and terrified.

Ariella nodded. Her anger was growing but she didn't show it. Amyntas was terrified as it was. "And what else?"

He shakes his head, tears falling down his face. He squirms and shivers. From his body language, it said it all.

(He was- ahem- r word-)

Ariella sucked in a breath, her face falling. "Will you come here, please? Come sit with me." She wanted to comfort him but she wasn't sure how to.

He shakes his head, shuddering.

"Please, let me comfort you," Ariella said. "May I at least hold your hand?"

Amyntas nods, staying by the door.

Ariella approach he'd him slowly and held out her hand for him to take.

He hesitates, then takes her hand.

Ariella tried not to hold his hand too tight but she was almost shaking with anger. "Take some deep breaths. It's alright, you're safe."

He takes slow, shaky breaths, slowly calming down.

"Good," she praised. "Now can you tell me his name." She was going to kill him.

Amyntas bites his lip, “Miles…”

She nodded. That was all she needed. She coukd find him and make it look like am accident. "Can I hug you?" She asked.

Amyntas nods, silent.

Ariella slowly pulled him into a hug. "We're gonna get through this," she said quietly, "I promise."

Amyntas hugs her back, nodding. “O-ok…”

She rubbed his back. "Come sit with me on the balcony. It's nice outside."
