Eris opened her eyes slowly and looked around, feeling her heart race. She'd never seen this place before. How… was she… on the Isle? It wasn't exactly what she imagined. It was somehow worse. Slowly standing up, she shivered in the cold. Someone stepped out from a doorway and she flinched violently and started to run, not entirely sure where she was going. She made it to a dock before she sat down and put her head in her hands in confusion. Was her memory this bad?
Quinn sighed softly. "Don't be too dramatic, Kiera." He said in a bored tone. He had heard this rant before. Many, many times. He could probably say it in his sleep at this point. Which was depressing.
"Don't you fucking dare tell me not to be dramatic, Quinn," Kiera spat. "You don't know our past! You don't know anything!" Her body was flaming with blue, and they started to dissipate as she slowly calmed down.
He laughed. "Right, right, that's right. You're the "daughter of the most powerful villain ever" and I'm only the prince of hearts." He replied, leaning against the wall. One thing Quinn had going for him, was he was fearless.
(most powerful villain
he doesnt know maleficent is her mother
so he wouldnt put an s on the end of villain)
Jaxton was shuffling his tarot cards, drowning out Kiera's whining. He was used to it, so it never really bothered him. His hand went up to the amethyst necklace he had on, twirling it around his fingers.
Kiera suddenly glanced at Jaxton. "Jaxton. Give me a reading." She pulled up a chair and sat down on it backwards, waiting. She never asked, always expected. And people always delivered.
(eris might come in around now, if you want)
"Sure, three spread? Never mind, you want a three spread." He muttered, laying them out on his lap. "Pick three, you know the drill." Jaxton said with a frown, he didn't get much sleep, ever, but that wasn't really the point.
Kiera half-glared at him. She didn't often let people tell her what to do, but Jaxton was one of the people who she tolerated. She sighed as she chose three from the cards.
(woop sorry. Edited it)
Quinn hummed under his breath. He really wasn't sure why he still hung around Kiera so much. Was he afraid to leave? Not really. But at this point, if he left…there might not be any other groups who would accept him.
He flipped them. "Wheel of Fortune, Death, and The Tower. In short, something huge will change, the end of a cycle is about to start and someone will break a promise." Jaxton said, pointing them out.
(This is actually a reading I did on myself this morning)
"Seems like the odds are in my favour," Kiera sighed, her tone slightly happy. Then it changed, and she regained her posture.
(it lowkey fits this perfectly tho)
"I suppose so. I heard a new place closed downtown, you guys want to raid it?" Jaxton asked boredly, slipping his cards into a pocket. "I think they have some old sweets."
Quinn hummed softly, taking off his hat and flipping it, then slid it back on. "Great. The odds are in your favor. Do you forget the odds are never in our favor? We're villains. The good guys always win."
"I wouldn't trust the stereotype so quickly, Quinn." She then turned to face Jaxton. "That is a perfect idea, Facilier. I never go back on my decision to recruit you. Now, lead the way."
"You didn't recruit me," Jaxton stood up, brushing off dust from his jeans and fixing his jacket. "You bothered me about it till I asked to join." His expression was deadpan, he was one of the few not afraid of Kiera at all.
Quinn sighed softly. He knew he was the odd one out in the group. Maybe because he didn't blindly follow? Or because he wasn't sure what his powers were? Either way, he knew Kiera preferred Jaxton. Or at least, he suspected so.
"Either way, you still joined. And to be fair, you haven't left. So…put the pieces together." Kiera started to walk out of the door.
Jaxton shrugged. "I suppose so. I know the shortcut." He said, slipping into the alley next to where they were. "Y'all up for a little roof hopping?"
Quinn followed them, not bothering to add anything to the conversation, until he said, "I'm up for roof jumping. Could be fun."
"Ooh, I love roof jumping. Best views of the Isle."
(Ah heck sorry I had some shite go down umum lemme think of hat to do)
(its fine take your time try not to stress)
